It is amazing on the digital end how much prices keep dropping. When I bought Nikon D70 the 1 GB compact flash was $399.99, about 3 months later it broke on me, took it back, they replaced, and when they rang up the new one they gave me $200.00 back as the price had fallen in 3 months to $199.99 plus instead of 40x speed it was an 80x speed.

Last week in Sam's club you could buy a 1 GB compact flash for $80.00.

Just amazing how the prices continue to drop.

But that is good for all us travelers who keep buying things.

Any thoughts on how many kids are expected to be on this cruise. The reason I'm asking, it I'm wondering if they will alter the programming because they won't have nearly the amount of kids as normal. What if the ratios are really low? Do they give the CMs time off and send them 'home'? Or, do they keep the CMs in the club/lab and just have more fun with less kids?

I'm looking forward to my kids (DS9 and DD6) having a great time and was thinking the CMs in the club/lab will be able to even make it more special because of a lower number of kids.

No, I didn't think they would skimp in the ratios... I thought there would be MORE CMs than normal -- making the ratios better for the kids; thus, more personal interaction. And, more time with the characters when they visit!

OMG . . . The postcards that VerandahMan and crew sends out arrived today. Everyone thougth it was so cool that Mickey sent a postcard from the Disney Magic. What a great thread that is....

When we were on the Christmas 10 day cruise, the cruise director told me that there were 550 kids on our cruise eastbound to westbound and over 1100 on the westbound to eastbound in August.

550 is more than plenty, and you will be amazed at what they find to do after being on a ship for so long. The CM's realized a bunch of "NEW" challenges with some of the older "kids" because they got to know each other way too well (the kids that is!). Since the longest they had done was a 7 day before the Christmas 10 day, they didn't plan for the extra problems that came up. But there were more repeat cruisers on that cruise than any they had had to date. And it was the largest amount of kids on the cruise ship at one time. (We had over 1100). Believe me, 1100 was just too many. I can tell you what floor, what staircase and what corners those "older kids" visited every night. And I only called security once when they were riding wheelchairs down the staircase!

I know this will come as a complete surprise to everyone, but one of my interests is improv comedy. Since DCL took the improv out of Off-Beat, it's up to us to bring improv back to the Magic. So, I'll be "hosting" some improv games on one of the at sea days TBD. Anyone interested? No experience necessary. It's just for fun. Audience members needed.

Attire, = There will be two (2) formal and two (2) semi formal evenings. There will be one (1) pirate(1)tropical nights. I guess that leaves nine (9) "cruise casual" nights were jeans are allowed in the dining rooms (don't even get me started!)

Food = There are plans to introduce new lunch and dinner menus so that no menu will be repeated during the course of the sailing.

Entertainment = A new production show to be offered. Called " Twice Charmed ". Cinderella themed Stage Show.

I called Disneyland today to see when we could make the priority reservations for dining. 60 days for restaurants and 30 days for Fantasmic! So if anyone is wanting to make priority seating for any of the restaurants, call next week!

Rcostello, how were we going to do this Fantasmic booking? I know we have until April 28th to work it all out, but I'm in the planning mode today I started washing cruise clothes today, and setting aside various items that need to be packed. I can't believe how close we are!

I am/was so excited! Well, he offered to send me a CD of the music. Not only did that arrive today, but also a CD of "Wishes!" It was the loveliest of surprises!!! Thank you very much Peter!!!

Do share with us how Wicked is. I got tickets last November for a July 2nd performance on Broadway. DD wanted tickets for Christmas, but you have to order them almost 9 months in advance to get decent seats. We are in the 3rd row! So this will be for her birthday in July. So when we get back from the cruise we will have this to look forward to! Have fun at the show, and be sure to let us know how fabulous it is!

What you really need to do is find someone who is a member of Club 33 for the Fantasmic Viewing. Disneyland unlike the Magic Kingdom has a members only club inside. It overlooks New Orleans Square and is the only place in Disneyland that serves alcohol. You can spend $35 - 75 for the Fantasmic viewing and receive dessert only. Or you can spend $75 for a five course meal. It is not listed on any of the official disney pages BUT....there are a couple of unofficial ones. www.disneylandclub33.com

I was also up early as the pups just had to go out. Paying bills, and sorting mail etc. Lynn is on graves so awaiting her arrival home. Finishing up SCUBA classes today.

7 weeks out and still a few little things to do. I hope we can get everything to FL without shipping but not too sure. We will see.

I hope a couple upcoming work related road trips don’t put a cramp in our vacation preparation. The plus side is I will be traveling to places with Walmarts.

Looking forward to the new show on the Magic.
