20050430 or... April 30, 2005 cruise, anyone?

I would love to find another family or two that have a 6yo daughter or close to that in age. My dd is an only child and would do so much better in the clubs if she knew someone else.

Please send me a private message or an email to coleland@juno.com if you have a daughter close in age and would like for them to meet when we board to hopefully make both of our cruises just a little bit more fun :)

Thanks!
Lisa

Just checking in to find out the ages of your kids for this cruise. Our DD is 11, and our DS is 14. Our daughter is very social, and our son very shy!

We'll be there with a DD who will be just shy of 11. She also is very social. Can't help with the boy--ours will be 8.

My daughter will be 5 1/2 when we sail I would love for her to know someone prior to going to the clubs. Are you staying at the Radisson the night before the cruise? Last cruise she went into the club and loved it but with so many kids its hard for them to hook up with any one in particular.

We'll be on this cruise also! Myself, DH, DD Age 11 and DD Age 8! We just booked it on Monday, so we have lots to learn about. This will be our first Disney cruise!

Boy I wish this thread would pick up some!!
Who is staying the night before at the Radisson?? We are getting in around 1 and hope to be at the hotel by 230 or so.

We just booked the 4/30 sailing also. It will be me, DH, DD (4.5) and DS (2.5). This will be our second Disney cruise and we are getting really excited. Can't wait... see everyone there.

Welcome!! Hopefully this thread will pick up some now that we are getting closer!! Are you flying in the same day or the day prior? My daughter will be 5 1/2 when we cruise!

Has everyone staying that the Radisson made their shuttle reservations yet?? I made mine months ago and just emailed them last week to double check and make sure I am booked on the first shuttle and they sent the confirmation email! I printed it out so there can be no mistake that day LOL!!

We are flying in the day before and staying at the Crowne Plaza Orlando Airport hotel. We will meet up with my parents there, as they are flying in from Montana. We have hired a towncar to drive us to the port.

We will have a car rented from Budget, DH will drop the 3 of us off then go back to drop the car off - do I need to make a reservation to get that shuttle to the port for him? Is that what you're talking about? Or are you talking about the shuttle from the actual Radisson?

I was reading a post about the stateroom gift from Dreams Unlimited. We got a nice basket on our first cruise, and they said it was because of the number of people on that particular trip who had booked through Dreams. I was hoping to get another fun gift, and was wondering how many of you booked through Dreams? We have two reservations--ours and my parents. It will be my parents first cruise, and I know the "treat" will start things off right.

Cool, I didn't know there were potential gifts! :) We have 2 cabins booked through Dreams on this cruise :)

Since you have a car you won't need the shuttle from the hotel....I have no ida how the car rental thing works...

We booked through Dreams too, only one room. Last cruise we got htis really nice box with picture frame inside...the box was great, we used it to pack all our pictures, pins and papers in for the trip home. I am also ordering a basket from Shirley for my daughter, sort of like last time, all packed in a big sand bucket so she will have the shovel and pail to play with on the beaches and I just leave it on CC when we are done so it won't take up room in the suitcase for both legs of the trip! Last cruise she did a really nice basket for Kasey and then my friend who was also staying in the room with us got a big basket of flowers from her husband, plus the box from DU so there were lots of surprises when we walked i nthe toom...oh and my firend also had the birthday package done for her daughter so there were banners and a cake on the table too!

That's a great idea getting that email confirmation from the Radisson. Do you have the email address for them? I would like to do that also. I don't like that they don't give you a confirmation # or anything. There are 11 of us and I want to be sure we are all getting on the same shuttle.

Thanks! :sunny:

Just wanted to let you know that we've had to cancel this cruise. Luckily it was at 61 days out and we didn't lose the deposit. Mike had to have laser surgery for his glaucoma and it actually has made things much worse. He has to have a more invasive surgery Tuesday (the doc wanted to do it today but I'm in FL right now and Mike will need me there)

So we didn't want to be in the middle of the ocean or in a foreign country if his eye was unstable.

Have fun, guys! We'll miss you!
