2005 ticket price increase!!

Hi I just read on the all ears website that 2005 uph ticket prices are increasing by 11.00 for childs and 12.00 per adult. We are planning a trip in april 2005 for 8 nights and were considering Ap's. with this price increase it doesn't add up to much more. My question is if they are increasing ticket prices does it follow that they will increase Ap's as well. And should I buy my Ap's ahead of time to avoid this increase?? I have read somewhere on these boards that you can buy Ap's and wait to have them activated until check in is this true?? Thanks for any thoughts or help on this. P.S. This is going to sound real stupid but do the 2005 prices start in 2005???

Yes...you can buy your AP's now and activate them when you get there. I do think they do up with the rest of the prices....

If you are not up to buying AP's...you can also go to your local disney store and get your park hoppers now. The days never expire...

That is not a stupid question....its like car companies coming out with 2005 in 2004..... I figure that is what you meant....

Usually disney has a set date for the ticket hike.....and on that date, the prices go up.....which will be in 2005. It does not necessarly mean Jan. 1, 2005 It could be any month in 2005. I think they usually raise it in the spring.

Thanks mostyn17, I did kind of like the idea of ap's even though they are pricey! I figure I might be able to talk dh into doing mnsshp in oct. 2005 if we have them. Wouldn't want them to go to waste!!!! Oh and thanks for not thinking my 2005 question was stupid.

If I'm not mistaken, at last years ticket increase, not all the tickets had increases. I know the 7 day PHP were the same price as in 2003.

Over the last three years, Disney has raised prices thus:

September 2002 - All tickets across the board

June 2003 - All gate prices for tickets except AP/PAP (no advance purchase prices were raised)

February 2004 - UPH prices increased both advance and gate

March 2004 - PH/PHP's (Gate & Advance), AP/PAP's, FL Seasonal all increased

UPH's (gate and advance) will go up again in January. AP's will more likely than not go up somewhere in that area but not necessarily in January.
