2005 Dues Question

We joined DVC under the incentive for SSR in October. We were told that we would owe 2 1/2 months of the 2005 annual dues and would receive a statement for this. We still have not received this statement and we have already received our membership cards, etc. We are off to SSR for our first trip "home" next week and didn't want to get there and have them say we owe for the 2005 dues. Does anyone know if they will just add the 2005 dues to the 2006 statment coming out the end of this month? I tried to call MS today and just missed them.

I also bought same timeframe as you for SSR, and my guide told me that I owed for 2005 dues as well. Im supposed to pay the dues before I check in. Call and check with your guide to make sure or call Member Accounting to be safe so you dont get there and arnt allowed to check in.

We bought mid October too and were also told we would have to pay 2005 dues. Well we closed the Friday after Thanksgiving - the 25th. Anywho we checked in for our first trip home on 11/27 and had no problems at all.

We still haven't received a statement for what 2.5 months of dues we owe.

I also purchased in this time frame, actually Oct 5th. I received approval the following Friday. I was told by my guide we would close on Dec 2nd or around that date. However we got papers that we closed November 2nd. Everything went very smoothly. Did however get my 2 months of 2005 dues and have already paid for them. Did note one thing from my papers I kept for records is that the closing date papers...stating the date of closing and the annual due statement for 2005 was dated the same date but mailed out different days. The letter and statement was dated Nov 7th. Hope this helps.

Ours was dated Nov 14th .This had the Deed date of Nov9th and Dec 15th for 2005 dues Past due on 12-29 .

I would just call if there is an issue I think you can pay by CC over the phone.

They were going to add the 2005 dues to the 2006 dues, but I paid the 2005 dues by CC over the phone. I didn't want anything to come up when we went next week. They hadn't sent the statement out yet so the statment going out should just have the 2006 dues on it. Thanks for all the information.
