morning all,
not much time at work now. hoping nexted month to be all set and have more time.

April cruise is not looking very good for us. d s and his grades. we should be leaving for w d w thursday but now thats not looking good either. maybee I should just go WITHOUT the kids?????? OOOOOH but I would just miss them soooo much
I'll try to get 1 posting for the shirts and post all info on that.
the islands 1 has the island colored in the other is just an out line and they would be the color of the shirt. DESIGN #LIME GREEN
would be like the lime green t shirt. change the writing in the ship and date at the bottom plus add ? ? ? so this would be 3 designs for the back. I guess its just a start, some how we need guideness, on which way. simple LIME GREEN style , or 1 or 2 something else ? ? ? it will be hard to make everyone happy. I cannot even do that with my family everyone wants the other choice?????????
so when I post all the info we can start from there.

AND the wreath would be embrodered not sure of the others yet.

ALSO names would be embrodered LIKE GARRY

Sorry I didn't post last night, we had a friend fly in from W. Virginia, and he stayed longer than we expected.
I do not want to go to freezing Nebraska! When I went out at 7:00 this a.m. it was already 50 degrees here. The highs there are only going to be in the 30's. YUK.
Anyway, I'm about on my way out the door. Love the new Southwest deal...I already have my boarding pass..and I got Group A! At least I'll be able to put my bag in the overhead. People in Group A both going to and coming from Vegas took up so much over head that all of the B's and C's ended up having our luggage checked. I don't know why they (airlines) don't stick to their own rules, and limit people. (Just had to get my venting over with)
Have a really great trip Gail, I hope everyone will be feeling better really, really soon!
All of the shirt choices look great...love the one with the ship, and Mary's DIS logo seems most fitting.
Well, like it or not, here I go.

Stacey-I'll vent with you. When I flew back from Atlanta on Sunday, there was a family of four (obviously coming back from DW) the kids were probably 3 and 5. They had 9 carryons. Now granted, they were really over 1, however, it took them 20 minutes just to get down the ramp, on the plane, couldn't find room for their stuff, and of course, the kids didn't help. Why they couldn't just bring a bigger suitcase and check the thing in, I don't get. And believe me, there is no way, that my DH and me would carry 9 carryons through Orlando, Atlanta and then to Salt Lake.

It is amazing that the airlines either enforce very strictly or don't enforce at all.

Happy Tuesday evening everyone. I finshed packing for DD and myself. Tomorrow will be DH and the medicine bag. DD and I both have bad sinus infections. DD was home today and will be home tomorrow from school. The headache is the worst part of it all.I hope we are better by Thursday at 4pm when we fly to Florida. I can't believe the luck we have to get sick right before we leave.Thank you all for your good wishes.

Linda I know the feeling, just you or me try to take 1 over size carry on into the plane , you see all this stuff going on and then your bag is just a little to big and NOOOO must be checked in THEN the last one to come out in the baggage claim area. been there.

got the call last night from Disney Cruiseline Research!

I will be meeting with them next Tuesday for 2 hours to be part of their research panel!

And they are actually paying me 100 bucks to do it !! LOL

I would do it for free!

Leaving tomorrow morning for 6 days of skiing in Northern Vermont !

Just Announced

Comcast Cable Company has made a hostile take over bid for Disney !!

Apparently, Comcast approached Michael Eisner earlier in the week about a friendly takeover of Disney by Comcast, he said no thanks.

Thus Comcast has launched a hostile takeover against them.

Imagine the largest cable / media content company buying Disney.

That could be very interesting. If that did happen, maybe Pixar would come back to Disney in partnership.....

Makes you go hmmm......

Morning all. I'm back at work. DH stayed home with DD today. She's doing better, but still not up to school yet.

I just can't imagine who would want to wrestle 2 little kids, and 9 carryons!! I limit my kids to their backpacks so that they can carry their own, and make them put them under the seat so that they can get things out by themselves.

I thought the airlines were still at 1 carryon plus a purse per person?

Good morning all, it is a whopping 8 degrees this morning!

David-maybe you could sneak in a tape recorder and record the whole thing for us. I would love to be a part. I would even buy my own airline ticket to be able to be a part. Find out lots of good, juicy stuff for all of us. You ought to try skiing in Utah, it is incredible this year!

Well, I'm in my third day of the audit, 3 down, about 7 to go. All is going well, but I expect them to walk in with a list any second of what they need from me this morning.

Good Morning (almost afternoon here) All!

I have to agree with all of you about the carry-ons. We try to take as few as possible and I also limit the girls to a backpack which they have to carry. What always makes me laugh (or shake my head in disbelief) is the people that pull the big suitcases on as carry-on and then try to put them in the overhead compartments. The look on thier face when they don't fit . The airlines are supposed to have a size restriction for carry-ons but I don't see them enforcing that either. Okay, done venting for the day.

garRy - just tell that DS of yours to straighten up or you will leave him with a babysitter and go on the cruise without him. Just kidding. It would be great if you guys could make it, but if not, I guess I will have to wait for the Christmas cruise to meet you.

It amazes me to when I see what people try and carry on an airplane. We used to love to fly the Super 80's of American Airlines because they had 2 + 3 seating. You had the same amount of overhead room, but 1 less seat per row. Now almost all their flights are 757's which are 3 + 3.

why would you die if Comcast takes over Disney?

For one, you would probably get what you want in your banner, about Michael Eisner getting booted.

Most people would say that the Disney company has been awful for the last 5 years, and a change in leadership would be the best thing for Disney.

In addition, the media conglomerate that Comcast is would be a great match for ABC TV and ESPN, as well as the other media devices that Disney owns.

Since most of the Disney Stores are closing within 2004, the nightmare of EuroDisney continuing losing money, the awful ratings of ABC, etc .. I would welcome the change to Disney

Especialy since the 15% increase yesterday in the stock price already was great, since I own way too many shares in Disney.

Just curious, why do you think it would be bad?
