Wait for it... that evil little thing called lake effect has yet to reach you......

Nope. No lake effect this far south. Even the west side of Cleveland where I lived (way west) didn't get much of lake effect snow. Now EAST of Cleveland was hammered all the time. 24 inches of snow....sure, you still have school!

Brrrrrr all of you talking about snow and cold! Guess I shouldn't mention that it's 69 degrees here and we think that's cold in fact we have a "wind chill" warning in effect for tonight... might hit 35º with the wind........LOL :rolleyes1

Hi all! Wasn't as motivated as I should have been. Only got 4 scrapbook pages done. I did St. Maarten, the ornament exchange, St. Lucia and Pirates night. I'm sure I'll get more done tomorrow as it will be another stay in day.

Mary: I've been meaning to ask you what program you use for your scrapbook pages? do you have them online anywhere? I really really want to get going on the scrapbooking but I am clueless. A computer program would be a big help I'm sure.

Leslie - I have 3 scrapbook programs.

Microsoft Picture It! I use this the most - very easy to use and has a wide range of backgrounds etc.

Ulead Photo Express - My Scrapbook - only used this once or twice.

American Greetings Scrapbooks and more. I love the AG card program so got this and have used it some.

I posted this once before but here is the link to some pages I've done in the past http://monorailgreen.info/Xmas2004Cruise/scrapbook.htm

Those are all 8 1/2 x 11 pages. Now that I'm doing 12 x 12 pages for this cruise I'm doing a base on 8 1/2 x 11 then trimming smaller and using embellishments, borders etc.

It's 10:00 local time and we just finished dinner, 4 hours of cooking and eating. A great night had by all, ended with Banfi.

Will post all the details tomorrow when I can type.

Mary: Your pages are wonderful. Gives me some great ideas. I will have to look for the Microsoft program as I'm sure it would be a great help. How do you print a 12x12 page? I am technologically impaired so any help would be appreciated....LOL

Storm Report -

Ok, I got the soup started and the phone rang, you see Saturday's is DH day in "The Club" - next door to us is a Men's Italian Social Club - they guys hang out there all day - they cook, they eat, they drink and they play cards - it is really a nice club - well due to the weather the Italian Rest. next door to the club figured it would be dead - and here husband who hangs in the club suggested that a few of the guys bring their wifes in for an early dinner - so at 6:30 we went - well just getting home - what fun - Boston is in Blizzard conditions now - at 6:30 there was a dusting and now there is close to a foot of snow - I really thought that the wine was kicking in - the beautiful thing is we all live just a few doorways away from the restuarant!!!! Besides our group the restuarant had only 2 other parties - the city is like a ghost town ----------

It looks like I will have some good pictures tomorrow! The snow is bad but the winds have be at least 30 mph!

Good night!

Leslie - I can't print 12 x 12. What I do is design a base of 8 1/2 x 11 with the pictures I want. I then place that on a coordinated or contrasting 12 x 12 page and add borders, embellishments, etc.

Of course with some 12 x 12 pages and some larger pictures I just do a more traditional page. For example the page I did with the group picture I just used the actual picture we bought, mounted it on plain background and added an embellishment at the top (it was a cut-out from the scrapbook that said Disney Magic). I added picture corners and a sticker over the photo that talks about friendship.

I'll ask Mark if he can scan a couple of the pages for me when he gets a chance (he's working on something for the Member Cruise currently).

do the weather forcasters get a "kick back" from the Supermarket Chains????.

I've always said that being a weather person would be the perfect job. You could be wrong every day and never get fired......."Not my fault, blame Mother Nature!"

Then out into the bitter cold to see Seussical the Musical!

My niece in Omaha (age 15) just got a part in this show. Sounds like fun!

Maybe I shouldn't mention that it's still 63° right now....almost 10 pm....and tomorrow it is supposed to be 75°.......:duck: :duck:

I guess I can say all I want to about the weather right now....next week when I arrive in Omaha, it's supposed to be snowing. I'll be singing a different tune!
I've lived here for almost 25 years now...I have forgotten how to drive in the snow and ice. :scared:

See ya tomorrow.....stay warm and dry......:sunny: ....try, anyway.

Stacey

Thanks for sending all your weather to Florida. It is going to be 35 degrees today and windy in Orlando.

I was to go to WDW today. Don't know what I will do now.

As of 9am when I took these we had 3 feet of snow and they said we will have another foot before this is over - around 6pm tonight

We are under state of ememgency - and Logan Airport will open tomorrow - sometime - they can't even plow it because of the white out conditions that are still happening!!!!

Talk to you later - going to make some breakfast!

Wah! I can't access your pictures! Can you check the links?

Therese thought today was going to a laid back day. Now she's got to fix picture links, LOL :rolleyes1

Hi everyone.

Links do not work for me either.

We have 18 inches of snow and it is still snowing. The local weather channel says we should get close to 20 inches without the drifts. Drifts could go as high as 3-4 feet!!!!!!!!!!!! Out on the east end it is already two feet.
DH is so ready to pack up and move to Florida. When we were in Florida 2 weeks ago he did not want to come home to the cold. It is so cold.
Kevin-he wants to move so so bad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am still not moving I told him in 14 years when DS starts college. I do not like the cold but I grew up about a half an hour from here and my family is still here. DH entire family but his sister live in Florida. It is nice to dream and have somewhere else to look forward too.
Stay warm everyone who is in the cold.
Florida is chilly today as well.

Mary-Love your scrapbooking. DH has been begging me to do what you did with all our pictures.
