Therese, it reminds me of my skiing days, looks just like some of the little ski towns I visited. Are you sure you don't have a lift in back of building somewhere? Might as well get some use out of the snow! How about snowshoes?

Snow will do - Since I had major surgery on my back - I sold my skis............. there are plenty of people out there with skis - believe me!

Well, going for a walk and to take more pictures!!!

Hi everyone.

Well - I should not complain about our snow. We got about 14-15 inches. The wind is really blowing the snow around.
The Boston area got hit so hard. Be safe in Boston. Walk slow out there.
Mary,Stacey and Diana-I sent you all e mails.

Hey there.....

I don't want this "going through the grapevine" (ouch, no pun intended)....so I'm telling anyone who is interested that I posted on the May Panama Canal thread a story about how our wine party in Sessions came about. They were planning one, too....and it was something that they needed to know.
Sorry, everyone.........it seemed like a good idea at the time.
Stacey

Stacey - definitely no need to apologize - as it was all worth it..... It was one of the highlights of the cruise - having a "private" wine party for all of the DISers..... I mean - it was a BLAST!!!! and well worth the minimal cost...

Sorry for what?? I think it went off extremely well. And better you tell them now than they have problems later.

Stacey,

I missed the wine party - but heard it was a Blast - you were such a backbone on these boards and keeping us laughing all the time! Or was that Lisa????

It is natural that you'd want to help others - You're the Best~!! :wizard:

Hope to cruise with you soon, I think our next is the Christmas 2006. :wave2:

From one to another conspirator. Definitely worth it! Just wish I could have stayed a bit longer, but alas, preparing this body for formal night took some time ;)

I agree with OhioMinnie, which does not occur very often, that it was great, but wish we could have stayed longer. We should have started at 3:00 so keep that in mind for the other trip.

Now you know why Mark and I were so dressed up in the picture. We were able to stay for the whole party. :D Thanks to all who made it possible.

Yep...the three best-looking in the crowd! (Counting Bear, too!)

At least you guys looked good.....not like me on Key West night....wedding dress with a tropical shirt! Still looking for a picture of that, if anyone has one.

Exactly what are you agreeing with me about? That you'd like to have stayed longer or that this body needs extra time to get it ready for formal night? Huh? HUH?

I too want to thank-you for setting up the wine tasting. It was truely one of the cruise highlights. If you want you can post your tips on the "Ship of Fools" Aug repo cruise too. I think we are planning one also.

Or just have the late seating like you know you should.....

Plenty of time for almost everything, except for late night buffet. Actually, time had nothing to do with that! It was more like physical limits of ones stomach. :wave2:

Ok, Stacey, I went and read your post. So, besides you and Virgil, who do we need to thank for the wine party? By the way, it was a super party.

I AGREE!!!

Without you girl, the venue would have been on a off kilter veranda! :drinking1

Ok - time to chime in. The majority of the work and arrangements were made by Stacey. Contributions - (that I know of) - were made be me and OhioMinnie/Mickey. We decided to not make a big deal of it - because - it wasn't a big deal. We thought the wine party was a great idea - and when we outgrew Stacey's verandah - we wanted it to go on without a hitch. We really didn't want to say that there was a cost - as we didn't want to dissuade anybody from attending and having a good time. No offense was meant..... and none should be taken....

Virgil, how could we take offense? Well, maybe because you were smarter than some of us, and figured out that DCL doesn't do things like that for free. I admit I was surprised at the time, but didn't think to question it. Thanks Stacey, Virgil, and the OM family. It was great!
