I don't make New Year's resolutions, but I did decide to go back to Curves. It worked well for me.

I really really want to get back to curves. It was wonderful when I did it. I lost a lot of my weight and just felt much firmer and better. Now, with the deamands of the dog, I just don't feel like I have the time. My normal time that I'd go (7:30-ish a.m.) is when she's up for the day, wanting to eat, needing to poop, wanting to play, etc. Mike says the kids are to the age when I can leave them for the 45 minutes it would take me to go to Curves, do it, and get back. What do you all think? Curves is 5 minutes away....KT turns 11 in July. Nick turns 8 tomorrow. ?????? My fear is I get in an accident and have to admit to the officer that my 10 and 8 yr old are home alone....with the beast! :)

I know the kids themselves would probably be fine. Pop in a video and they probably wouldn't even know I was gone.

?????????????????????????????????????????

Sharin' a TOP with Stacey!! Woo hoo!

David - I booked the Jan 28, 2006 western and can't find a thread. I am afraid to start one since I joined the 5/27/06 thread. I must stay away from the 'puter for a few hours a day.

That's ok. Nothing will top the 10 day cruise. In fact, our 4/30/05 thread is a bust. Not one post in 6 weeks and that's less than 4 months away. Mike says to look at it like this....it will be relaxing....the only ppl we'll have to worry about are the two of us.

What's he have in mind? :earseek: Maybe I should start calling him "Cupcake" again!! :earseek:

I guess you mean the Mickey - Walt suite from my signature

let me shoot out a few emails and let me see what I can come up with

I'll let you know

- David

Yep, I'm still irritated that they never called or e-mailed. I checked my statement, and no credit.....e-mailed them today, guess I will call them for good measure. Keep me posted, okay?
Thanks, Stacey

Thanks for the reminder. Our Antigua trip cancelled. I need to check the credit card statement.

Hey Kevin, are you ever going to pay me or just stiff me? How is that for stirring (notice the correct spelling) the pot?

My vote is to leave them. Lisa comes home every day by herself, does her home work, eats a snack and than gets ready for gym when someone comes by to pick her up.

Matt also did it. Kids will do what you expect of them. Expect the best and you will get it, but be prepared for issues.

That is why we have cell phones. They can call you if they need you. Actually the Beast can probably just take care of things.

Or as KT put it, "my parents may sound normal on the internet, but they are not. They call each other Cupcake and Honey".

That was priceless.

Thanks for the advice. I trust your judgement. I've seen how your kids turned (errr...are turning) out and I'm very impressed. My parents were also extremely impressed with Matt after he came to our table for dessert. Both of them having been teachers they've seen good and they've seen bad and they enjoyed talking with Matt, so that says something. Just hope he doesn't muck it all up with a girlfriend. ;) ;) ;)

Oh....(Big silent pause) You should talk to Sharon about that. I know nothing. How about another bottle of Banfi.

By the way, it's Tuesday night. The best night of the week because I am home alone. From 6:30 to 9 they are all gone. I'm free to do what ever I want and here I am....

THAT was the exact quote????  :rotfl: :rotfl:

Too funny!!

Yeah...

"Cupcake, darling, do you mind putting your dirty underwear somewhere else?"

"Ok, fine, HONEY, I WILL!!!" :earseek:

Maybe that's what she was referring to! :)

Kids

Thanks. They are pretty good kids. People are amazed that I actually had a hand in raising them.

By the way, is there something I need to know about Matt?

"Why don't you take out the garbage and do something productive, CUPCAKE!?!?!?" ;)

See, I think THAT is what Miss KT was referring to! :)

Either he's very intelligent, well spoken and polite, or he knows how to schmooze very well. :)
Honestly, most of what he was talking about was over my head! :)

Do you mean the girlfriend comment? Nah, that was just my dad's advice to him...."Matt, you sound like you know what you want and are determined to succeed...now don't muck it up with a girlfriend." :)

Told ya my dad was a character. Heck, he freaked Lisa out by telling her she had ordered the comedian's duck for dinner! :)

Don't you home school your children?

Yeah, but I'm in the 2nd and 5th grade. He's talking advanced international studies!! :earseek:

Wish me luck!

Creek is a raging river, the rain finally stopped...but there is a tornado headed straight for us. I'm outta here. Will let you know.
