Thanks Verandah Man! The ship looks beautiful no matter what!

We're ready to go! One last post.........

:wizard: 'Twas the week before Christmas, when the big ships cruised
The chefs were cooking, while the passengers snoozed.
The stockings were hung in the cabin with care;
Awaiting duty-free items that soon would be there.
The children were nestled all snug in their pajamas,
In hopes that St. Nicholas could find them in the Bahamas.
In the ship's atrium, the crew put up a tree and decorations,
There was no work for me, but to show up for celebrations. :wizard:

And with that....... I turn out the lights on this thread .... we have had a loooong journey to get to this point, and now our MAGICal journey is about to begin.
:drinking1 A toast to friends we have not yet met and to friends we have leave behind until another time. :grouphug: We'll be thinking of those that were not able to make it... and hope that we can meet another time!

Have a wonderful magical holiday everyone.....and look for our
"LIVE from the Magic" thread!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!! WE ARE HEADED TO THE MAGIC

WE ARE ONBOARD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Where to begin....

Bear 'unofficially' gets the head of the line for disers. We had exactly 1 couple in line in front of us, but they, we discover, have posted/read few times, and knew us and kind of join in the fun.

At the head of the line was us, The Scubas, and GarRy and clan. :)

We also hooked up with a whole bunch while waiting in line, too many to mention. :)

Now it's some rest, get into our cabin and on to a dis meet!

Well... Maybe a teeny bit more detail is in order. The day kicks off with us getting to the port bright and early, about 9:30-10. already in the process of unloading were the Scubas and GarRy&co. And yes, he has a VERY interesting hat. Well, we line up outside, right by where they'll be taking the luggage. Porters come out, take the luggage, and we go in the terminal in a mad rush, with little Lisa dragging this heavy backpack of the wine. Vicki grabs the backpack and scoots Lisa off to go grab a place for us. We then proceed to hang out and others from the group keep bopping by to say hi and Mary and I give out the navs/buttons to them with some help from Garry and Gregg. More we gave away then, less to drag around and we'd later be glad for that. Well, Virgil and Stacey and the rest of the concierge/handicapped get first boarding. Then we go in and the three families of us get a group boarding photo, and we have them annouce us as the Dis Family. :)

At this point we split up, as Mary and I still have a job to do. We then spend the next half hour canvassing the passenger decks delivering all the rest of the navs to the message fish by the cabins. :) That was a lot of work. Hope the results at the impeding meet in an hour and a half show it.

Then we have a good buffet lunch at a suprisingly empty topsiders, and wind up here in Cove Cafe. It is VERY nice. And they've upgraded the machines, no more annoying custom browsing thing. It opens a standard windows desktop. :) Well, off to go find our own cabing now and begin to settle in.

Mark-Thanks so much for the update. I LOVE reading about it all. I am going to watch you all sail bye bye in a little while. :boat: :boat: :boat:

The Magic finally under way for it's MAGICal Christmas Cruise. Better late then never I guess!!! Have a MAGIC 10 days!!! The Two Palms cam already stopped for the night before the Magic left port, so I won't be able to get any photos of you sailing by the Two Palms cam.

Andy - thanks for the picture. We left very late tonight - about 5:40. Had a medical emergency as an ambulance showed up. We left at 5:30 to go get ready for dinner but I heard a family did get off and someone was taken in the ambulance. It was really dark already by the time we were going down the channel so I didn't think we'd make it past two palms in time. Thanks for trying!

The kids are here and they are thinking they need some motion sickness meds. I don't want to go back 5000 posts to find. What did you recommend?

Thanks
The best thing will be to take 1/2 a bonine... if they are under 12 and a full one if they are over 12.....

Call me if you need anything!

What a great guy! Even willing to make house calls while on the cruise.

Can't spend more time posting. The cheese plater and a bottle of wine awaits for me on our vernanda so we can watch the sun set in Key West.

Whatever the temperature is in the Carribbean right now sounds wonderful; it's 18°, very windy and snowing right now :earseek:
Hope you are all having a wonderful time.

See??? Ya jinxed it! :p

Just so people who wern't there know, The sunset was obscured by a heavy storm front. :(

Well - I'm sitting here two chairs away from MarkRG in the Cove Cafe.... posting on the net... We had a great day in Key West!.... Looking forward to the 2 days at sea....

So far we've had nothing but a great time.... tonight at dinner DD Lauren (10) got ribs - she had sauce everywhere - face, hands... Great pictures.... but the best part was Erasmo (Head waiter for our section) helping clean her all up.. laughing all of the time.... for the first time I won't wonder why I'm tipping him. We're sitting with Joe and Leslie (DisneyPinDiva) and have had a great time... good dinner companions - and they're helping me drink the wine!!!!

Be back tomorrow!!

Virgil, Mark or anyone else that may read this is, Alan from Craotia still a head server? He's tall with blonde hair and a very nice man. We had him for a server on our first cruise and then he was head waitier on our last 2 cruises.

Have fun.
