:wizard: Forgot to add that there SHOULD be a special pin released for Christmas onboard too... I'm sure that will sell out very quickly since people who do not usually collect pins will buy them as souvenirs of the cruise... :wizard:

The "Artist's Choice" pin is a limited edition pin released on the ships... usually around once a month. They call it that because the artist who gets the assignment gets to choose his own design. It is usually an LE of 750 or less and the quantity is split between the ships. There are also "Captains Choice" pins where the particular captain picked the character that will be on the pin. These are released sporadically when that particular captain in onboard. Since the pins are only sold on the ships.. they are harder to get than normal LE pins at WDW.. so they are very good traders. There is usually a limit of 2 per person per night and they are only sold during the pin trading hour in the atrium... not in the stores.

Okay so who is going to lend me some kids so that I can get extras???? :D
I lend you BOTH of mine, if you'll take them home with you!
Just kidding!!

Thank you for the offers of video of the pirate night! I will definitely take at least one (if not all) of you up on that!!

Too excited to move.....I need to go take the dog...but I'm afraid to get in the car, I may crash.
Actually waiting for the last load of clothes that are in the dryer, and doing little things as I wait.

Bye!

I would suggest you send them an email to confirm it up. I don't have my file with me, but the address is on Kevin's site. The guys in the office tend not to write anything down. You need to deal with the woman that knows how things work and can get it done. (this should be a fun comment for all the DW out there) They had only limited seats so try and get an email out.

PM me and when I get home I'll send you the email address if you have not already done it.

We will definately be trying to get one of the special pins. I'm more of a collector than a trader (but I'm bringing a few traders along).

We'd love to have a DVD too if someone is making them. What great memories. Just let me know how much. gaRry had sent me a tape of one of their cruises last September and I still like to pop it in and watch and we aren't even on it!

We are nearly packed - just a few small bits & pieces to go in. I managed to squeeze in a spare roll of wrapping paper just in case.

I can't believe we leave tomorrow. Seems we have been planning it so long it was never going to get here.

I like the idea of special pins - they would make a nice present to bring home for people.

LOL I'm not bringing my collection... that would take a U-Haul truck... but I am bringing my suitcase full of traders. I'll have plenty to trade for any extra DCL LE's that anyone can get. Don't forget CM's on the ship also wear lanyards for trading too!

Kevin...........

Just talked to Big John's in Antigua.

He was not there but after speaking to two different people they said that I can come.
They did not want my name, I was just to come along.

I hope that this was sufficient enough to hold a spot for me.

It certainly didn't sound like it was.
I'll hope for the best......I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Ex Dolphin Swimmer
Now hopefully a Scuba Diver

We've been talking about trying to make a "best of" DVD. I will have the new camcorder at the Pirate party, hoping to get some good shots! It's pretty light, shouldn't keep me from partying.
OK Hon, now the camcorder does have a stabilization feature. But lets not take it to far eh??

OK - Something for us to remember.... (my apologies to RickW who I borrowed the quote from)

DCL tells you over & over:
"Don't worry, you'll never see these people again."
But that doesn't mean that you won't be made fun of on the DIS.

pirate: TFD

Not necessarily true if we plan on rebooking another cruise with ya'll!! And I *know* I'll see Mark and Mary (and Bear) on the DVC member cruise!

Now, if he can just get the vacation hold done correctly!

I did put it in writing for him!

I never go in for this (I know, bad time to tell you this)
You can go to www.usps.com and download and print the form you need "authorization to hold mail." I fill it out, fold it over and address it to:
Postmaster
My town, state, zip

And it's always worked that way!

Yup, that's us too. Although we've started getting good pins to have on hand in case we see something we really want. dh had a LE 500 CC pin from last Christmas and got almost ALL of the formal cast lanyard pins in one trade! Of course, had we KNOWN it was LE 500 we'd have bought our limit, but alas, we only had ONE. :(

On our first Disney cruise in October 2002 I bought (shh, don't tell) 14 Artist Choice pins. It started my cruise line pin collection, and I managed to trade for almost all of the previous AC pins, plus some that came out subsequently. It's the only ones I collect anymore. Now, Dd collects Tink, Stitch, lanyard pins, anything to do with scuba diving... Do you know how many pins that involves? I'm sure Leslie does.

Leslie, do you think they will release an AC on our cruise?

I'am the amatuer pin collector in our family. Actually, a more accurate term would be enabler! The girls love it and have more pins than you can shake a stick at.
My rule of thumb is if its limited, get some. If it is limited at a "special event or site" get all you can buy!!

my parents don't let me do the pin thing they don't even give me a decent reason

HI Gregg. I think you are the first one home today. Alicia will say hi tonight, I'm sure, but she really needs to study so that's about it. It's crunch time!
