Scuba Family - My sister and I will be sailing on Jan 28,06 western. We are driving down and plan on parking at the port and want to be the first in line. I have a year to practice so you can start giving me advice. :smooth:

Spend the night in the parking lot.

Just think, you will be able to see the ship come into port at 6 am.

 I wanted to be like Kevin so I had to use the dancing banana.

Been an interesting day, got this in my email this morning...

Your Web site has reached 90% of your allotted Web transfer quota. Covad will bill you for any overage in the following month. If you think that you will reach this quota on a regular basis, you can upgrade to a higher capacity hosting plan on the Your Hosting Services page in SMART Account Manager.

Now I had logging off as the logs eat a good amount of space unless I download and delete them daily, which defeats the purpose of the stats tracking.

So I turn it on.

For one day, about half the hits were the life preserver. A bit less than half were the animated ship in Mary's sig that Karen had and some others (who did not ask) have been linking on here, Passporter and Cruise Critic forums. So I fix that. I also found we had some uncompressed images in the photo galleries and the trip report which eat a lot of the allotment. Fixed all that.

Well, then there was this tool: http://www.xanga.com/home.aspx?user=Jangwuah

This guy had linked the image from Mary's trip report of the Magic in dock at Antigua. Well I fixed his wagon. The current image is only 20k. The original was about 200K and in one day of logging by me already had 12+ hits from him. Now he certainly did not ask, and probably found it thru Google's image search function.

AAnd just now went thru and weeded the website of old/extraneous images and made sure all the images online are compressed. I guess the next step is for me to start watermarking them.

To translate that all into english, we get so much 'airtime' you could say per month for the website. And I was running very close to going over it, and had to do a bunch of stuff including stopping someone from stealing said airtime for their own site.

But that guy's website has a big thing that says "Please do not steal from our website"!!
And he was stealing from you??:confused3
Why is it that people never cease to amaze me?

It has a warning there NOW. I replaced the the real image on our site with that one, my punishment for his stealing. :)

How mean am I? How long till the kids get over it?

Maggie has passed the point of possible no return. She is getting far to aggressive with me. Today she snapped and was circling me in the yard growling, barking and snapping. At one point lunging and grabbing onto my coat sleeve and then hanging there, by her teeth, for a full 5 seconds. Lunging and snapping and circling me like prey. It took me several minutes to get a hand on her, but I literally lifted her by her scruff and dragged her sorry butt into her crate.

I have no use for this beast, except to keep from crushing my kids. She has not, as of yet, showed ANY bit of aggression towards the kids. It's all directed towards me (the hand that feeds her)

Add this to the fact that Mike's mom just found out she has a very very large mass in her lower abdomen (possible ovarian cancer) and we've had some crappy days around here. Most of the family was in tears most of the evening tonight. It was rather ugly. Btw, please say some prayers for her (she's Grandma Lightbulb) ;)

Sorry to dump.

I think it's time to do something Karen, you don't need a vicious dog around, it's only a matter of time before it'll just be all around so. This I know from experience. it will be hard on the kids, but at this point it is more for their own safety.

I am SO sorry to hear about Mike's mom! We'll keep her in prayers. :grouphug:
