Oh goodie, another excuse to go to WDW! We have to watch Vanessa! Where do I sign up? Will have to be solo trip, DD has to go to school and DH will have to take her. Think that will go over?

Actually, Vicki, I knew about this. Her proud brother posted it on the Teen thread last night.

That does surpise me. I guess he was more impressed than he appeared.

We're newbies here. Was invited over here by WDWLVR. Can I get some info on the decorations exchange party? This cruise is to celebrate our 25th anniversary and we are looking to have a lot of fun. We are taking the kids with us too so any of you that have teenagers, I have a 14 year old girl and a 16 year old boy.

I have a 15yo DS and a 16yo DD. Why can't the other 16yo's be girls? Just my luck now we have a multple 16-17yo males. yes stacey i know why boys are boys and girls are girls I didn't fail that class

Yeah, Virgil did that with my dh and an iPod--now between him and KT there are two....and Mike likes KT's better so I think he's scheming to give his to Nick and buy a new one!!

Actually, we had church, then drove home and ran the dog around for 20 minutes, then rushed out for two performances, then to Wal*mart for Avery paper and now we're finally home. Going to do some school (yeah, homeschoolers can do school on SUNDAY!) and then hunker down for the Survivor finale. So, looks like no packing tonight. At that point he just gave up, and went looking at digital video cameras. He wants one of those new ones with those DVD disks. Probably our next purchase.

Thank you thank you thank you. I was trying to get mike involved in our little group...reading him the funny posts while he played with the dog. And I read him your post. I got to the part about the video camera with the DVD disk and he said "what?" So I read it again. Next thing I know, he's upstairs on the other computer doing research. He comes down and said "I had no idea these even existed. You can thank Linda for introducing them to me."

Well, before I go back and try and catch up. I am much closer to being ready to go. I am fairly well packed now. We only ran in to one "crises" so far. When I went to help Matt back, some of his clothes did not fit him any more, so off shopping we went this afternoon. Well, hours and $$ later, he should be ready now too. He's bigger than Jim now, so that option is no longer viable.

Speaking of books. I didn't have anything at home that looked good, so I went to the bookstore today (during Nick's second play) and got a book...something "miss julia..." It's the first in a series, but I honestly can't remember the name.

The other one caught my eye and I read the inside flap and it looked funny (a bit irreverant, but funny) It's called "The Stupidest Angel"

Anyone hear of it?

They have one building set up just for the candle-making. Several vats of wax, tons of different colors, lines to hang them on, and FOOD! It's always a good time, lots of people and good music

Did you make your pirate magnetic sign or is that one of the four you already made?

I love my Kodak Easy Share DX 4530, and I think it was only about $350 or so at Sam's Club. It has fallen from my daughter's hand already and survived, so I'd recommend it for teen abuse.

I have this camera as well and highly recommend it. Enough different "modes" to make it versitile but easy easy easy to use. Great pics too. I am technologically impaired and even I figured it out and can take good pics!

Whooo hooo.. just noticed that I am now a Mouseketeer! Glad to be off that druggie list....LOL
CONGRATS VANESSA!! Let me know when you perform and I'll try to be there. I spent 6 years on the competitive color guard circuit with my daughter so I know how much fun these trips can be....LOL

Yes, made our pirate signs--KT wasn't too thrilled with her pirate name.

We actually only have two different signs. The general sign and the pirate sign. Made 4 b/c we made one for my parent's room too!
