Even the worst isn't the end of the world, but I'm hoping for the best

Excellent attitude. Just read a story in the paper about a family who had a house fire in October. Mom was at work, grandma and the two young kids escaped but were all critically burned with 2nd and 3rd degree burns. They are just now getting out of the hospitals, but their healing is not anywhere near complete.

Give me a cracked filling, a root canal or a crown ANY day.

I'm going to search at Target for my shoe holder thing....can't believe I can't find one? Is there a big Christmas rush for this item???

That's the top gift being given this year, right after the iPod!

I'll look at Wal*mart today for one. If they have one I'll get it, you can decide if you want me to bring it.

Another true confession....I am a HUGE John Denver fan. Went to several of his concerts as a teen/young adult and shed a tear when he died.

Karen, something else we have in common. John Denver was a great singer! My DS has about 4-5 of his CDs. And we sing lots of John Denver at our sing alongs.

Par8hed had posted on another thread about how he contacted a bidder on ebay (not involved in his auction) and warned him about something. I quoted and replied that that is not allowable in ebay and that could get him in trouble. He PM'd me and told me he didn't know and that he edited his original post and could I edit the reply so ppl didn't know it was him anymore. Seems like maybe he's taking some flack that he doesn't want to have.
p.s. I didn't edit. Nor will I.

Who else is leaving now? All of you have good trips. And John...SCORE for an extra WDW trip! We'll be at the BWV Wednesday through Saturday morning. Last name is Sanders if you want to look us up.

Got the kiddos packed up for their winter weekend trip. They leave at 3:30 and get back Sunday evening. Took DD to spend her Christmas money from the in-laws last night. She decided on a pretty nice electronic keyboard. It's set up for some piano instruction and has 100 stored songs (including "Can you feel the love tonight?, and the theme song from "Finding Nemo"). She ended up using her stored up allowance, and borrowing ahead from her allowance to make up the cash, but I felt it was worth it to get a good one with full sized keys. She wanted to take it on the cruise. Hmmm, that would be "NO"! She said "But Mom, I could use it in the talent show!"

Off to catch up on the boards, then I have to do some work before I leave early to take the kids to catch their bus for the trip! I'll try to check in at lunchtime.

It was a serious question. I get tired of carrying this huge wine glass and am looking at options.

PS: for christmas presents I got my neighbors wine glasses that hold a whole bottle of wine, each. Maybe I should bring that on the cruise.

For some reason today it has finally hit me.


THIS IS OUR LAST FRIDAY MORNING BEING APART!!!

I have no idea how I will contain myself for the next week. I think the concert last night helped get me into the Christmas spirit...and it was one more thing to check off the list....
But I am so excited right now I can hardly sit still.

Lisa, (the real one)....half the kids last night weren't singing. I figured they must have gotten stuck in chorus because they couldn't get the elective of their choice. My sister in law and I were commenting from the start about the boy who fainted. He never once opened his mouth. But I think his problem may have been stage fright. I'm anxious to hear from Jordan today, about how he's doing. Poor kid. How embarrassing. And Jordan thought she was nervous!

They did help him up and he walked off the stage...I had thought that the school sent for the ambulance as a precautionary thing, or maybe some rule about kids getting their head bonked. But the kids were saying that he cracked his head open. Head wounds bleed pretty bad...I think any amount of blood and the kids are going to think the worst.
