tonight DD had family night for Cheer team :cheer2: :cheer2: - regional competition is Saturday. If they are as good as tonight we will be headed to Fla in Feb for Nationals. :cheer2: Maybe I'll be able to finish the packing tomorrow. after the vet appt for the dogs and my post-op appt with my surgeon.
I really need this cruise so I have time to relax. :cloud9:

where is everyone tonight?

I'd be interested in knowing how much of a break you get for group discount also. I think this was asked WAY back, but I don't remember ever seeing the answer. Anybody know? Stacey?

DIS FAMILY SPECIAL DAYS:
22-Annie12345
24-Frances(DW of WVMD)
27-Joe(DH of DisneyPinDiva), Brianna (dd of realtorlady)
28-Ohiominnie, Karaeric

Updated special day list. I took off Cinderella1001 and jan lyn. jan lyn hasn't posted on the DIS in a year. Cinderella hasn't posted on our the DIS since July (and it's been since 8/03 since she posted on our thread) I PM'd them both the other day and they haven't been read.

Printing labels for the backs of Navigators. :)

Today is our oldest DD's birthday. :cake: We were on the Wonder for her birthday last year. She says she is 36...but wait, that can't be because just last year she was, uh like 15 or 16. :confused3

:D :charac2:

I wish I had the time to do more crafts, I used to do a lot of cross stitch but never any time these days. I scrapbooked a page when I went to a creative memories fun night, once. used to sew a great deal - used to knit - used to hook rugs- used to relax :moped: :moped:

Tell her to keep it up, Vicki. It's a very long shot, but if DD gets to try-out for her high school's drill team next year (they may not let freshman audition), she would be going to Nationals each Feb. too! The team always wins State, so they go every year. That would be, let's see, Feb. 2006!

But Diana if you all relocate to Fla she wouldn't be on the same school's team. This is the first year out school allowed freshmen to try out for the competition team Good luck to her if she is able to do it.

I am not a very crafty person. I can be sneaky, but not crafty. I just do not have the artistic eye. My second DD does great stuff, but she gets that talent from my DMIL, not me. Is this another confession? :guilty: I don't do crafts.

I went to a wreath making class/party once. My wreath was just a bit lopsided and not quite full in spots. The nice ladies I was with said "Oh, it looks fine", but I knew different and when I got home DH and all the Dchildren rolled on the floor laughing. End of my crafting career.

I did make a couple of cruise scrapbooks and DH said "isn't there supposed to be some fancy stuff on the pages?" I explained to him that the scrapbook was MINE and was supposed to represent me, and it does! Just simple, not crafty. :tilt:

Good Evening! Jared and I got home at about 6:45, but I have been sewing. Dusted off the machine, and have been buzzing away.
I made a scrapbook of Megan's wedding cruise. My one and only scrapbook. Most pics are on disc. We have at least 40 albumsof printed photos. So grateful for digital!
I used to embroider, no time any more. Seems kids and DIS get in the way. I'm just not a very "crafty" person.
VICKI!!! Are you trying to kill yourself??? I know, us Moms don't have a choice. After I had my first lumpectomy, I woke up to get a pain killer, and heard Jordan, from the top bunk in her bed...being quite ill...all the way down the side of the bed to the floor. I hate when they are too sick to run to the bathroom.
So of course, I had to clean that all up. I don't think there has ever been a time that I've had surgery or been sick, that I didn't have at least one kid (or hubby) home sick also. I never get to wallow in my misery and milk it! Do any of us?

Answer to a question....there isn't a "discount" for booking as a group. Each stateroom gets a room credit. When we went, it was I think $100. But as a group, you can pre-book excursions, Palo, have your dinner seating pre-arranged...

I'm really tired tonight. Think I will turn in early. One more day of work then off on Friday and head to WDW on Saturday. WOO HOO!! :jumping1:

Thanks for the info, Stacey.

Mary....great scrapbook pages!! I love them.
You are all so talented. I seriously do not have any talent whatsoever. My oldest brother is musically inclined, and my middle brother is an astounding artist. Then there was me......Mom ran out of talent genes.
Ha....but they had "zits" and I didn't!!! hee hee hee

Our kids keep journals on our trips, and then they getto turn them in for extra credit. They actually do an amazing job. They remember more than I do, and what's really cool is that when I read their journals, I get excited because they really pay attention to some of the most interesting details! Probably much more than I would.
Thank you all for reminding me that I had bought their cruise journals a long time ago and I need to get them out and pack them.

Yeah, when I had my gallbladder surgery my parents came down and spent a WEEK!! Taking care of the kids, doing laundry, cleaning and cooking. :earseek: But it wasn't as restful as it sounds. I didn't feel like I could just lay on the couch and watch TV and rest. I always felt like I needed to be up "entertaining" them (well, at least my mom....my dad was busy doing handyman stuff to the house) Anyway...it was nice having them here, but by the end of the week I was happy to have my (clean) house back!

I just want to be like Mary.....

Things I accomplished today:
  • changed the sheets in the guest bed so now we can use it to put stuff on to pack
  • printed out labels to attach to the back of Nick's Pooh pictures
  • printed out 73 labels with DIS FAMILY birthdays
  • printed out 73 labels about the ornament exchange

:thewave:

Now, only 100,000 more things to do before we leave!! :)

Edited to add: how come every time I make a list the first thing on the list gets eaten and doesn't show up?
