See what else you can find out about this cruise from your friend. When on the phone yesterday with DCL she was kinda hinting that there will be other surprises............................ Hey, this Group needs to be prepared!!! We will be the envy of the Ship!

Can't wait to meet everyone!! Even - my non computer DH is kinda looking forward to meeting my computer friends - he loves the excitment, networking and planning that has gone on here!!!!

Wow - "why couldn't he have been a DD?", well, I guess I COULD explain that; but, maybe we should leave that explanation to one of our fellow cruisers that are in the medical profession.

OK ...here is a newbie question.

Does everyone participate in the Captain's dinner or only a selective few.

All rotations that evening participate in it, special menu and all that, and the command crew mostly mingles among the restaurants and in the atrium in dress uniform for pictures.

OH I found TOUCHABLE bubbles.

You can apparently touch them and they won't break.

I've heard of these, they sound cool!

I'd be very careful about using them at sailaway though, the wind is usually very strong and if one of those fly away, somone's going to wind up wearing it.

It's why bubbles are ok instead of the old fashioned things like throwing streamers and such; nothing to clean up.

I popped over to the 12/19 thread and asked that if any of them are going to be at the port a day early could they try and get some shots of us leaving. Who knows maybe somebody will be able to get shots like we got of gaRry and the gang who sailed on the first Western cruise back in 2002.


And I got a top on their thread too! But I didn't celebrate - didn't want them to think i was totally nuts.

yeah the blue donald's destroyers hockey jersey in a large. i believe at the store it's only like $50...that's what my mom told me, my dad pointed it out to her while we were there last month she said she should have made one of us turn around and go back and get it. the store it located at the end of mickey's philharmagic. like all rides at disney world there is a gift shop as you are exiting. most of the stuff in there is donald (since he is kind of the star).

Thanks for the reminder. I cancelled a few last week and asked for a fax confirmation. Didn't get. We never seem to get faxes from Disney.

Will call today to confirm they actually cancelled.

Sorry to disappoint, but Lisa hasn't ever asked anyone at DCL about the special events!
I have a feeling that even they (the ones we lowlies are allowed to talk to) don't even know for sure. They have enough people calling them about that, I wasn't going to pester them. I've been enough of a bother!

You know one of the things I loved about the DVC Member Cruise...the surprises! Now they wouldn't be surprises if we knew all about them.


I can see them adding another semi-formal in the original timeframe of 12/20 knowing that many would dress up for Christmas night. If that's the case we'll just wear what we were going to - no biggie.

As for any other special surprises - I'll get them when I get them. If I don't expect anything I won't be disappointed if we don't get them and I'll be filled with magic if we do!

I was playing with the new camera last night. I figured out how to take a picture and how to delete a picture. Close enough!
Turns out, it wasn't the one that I thought I had picked. I was trying to choose between two cameras, and opted for the smaller, easier one. I guess I gave them the tag for the bigger, more complicated one....'cause that's what they sent me.
Warning to camera experts: I will be asking for help! If you see me coming with camera in hand, run the other way as fast as you can!!!

Good Morning Cruisers!

Today is a much better day! Last night I soaked in a tub and used one of my bath bombs. It turned the water the most beautiful blue. I felt like I was in the warm waters of the Caribbean!
Today I am energized and ready to go. Just got back from the gym now off to shower and then to do the final (hopefully) shopping.

Mary- when I called Sam in a panic yesterday , he also gave me bears advice. Its good to be reminded.

This cruise is going to be wonderful We may not have all the perfect outfits or my door sign my look terrible, but I am not going to let that stuff bother me anymore. I feel so fortunate to be taking this fantastic cruise and meeting all you terrific people. I truly feel that trip will be amazing in so many ways.
