Here is something to think about and look forward to.

I just opened up all our pato doors because it is 75 degrees and beautiful out tonight. A perfect night for cruising.

Just a few more days and you, hopefully, can put your coats away.

NICE...........

Gus

Well, Gus...looks like it's just you and me....and the me part is going to bed.

Yet another meeting at school tomorrow. Did I want a boy??? He and his best friend got into a fight at school. They have been together since birth, and are like brothers, but apparently the school doesn't like it, even when brothers fight. Jared's friend is the older of the two, and was always taller till this year. I think he learned he can't win any more. They're back to being buds...will have to see if the school will let them off the hook.
Have I mentioned lately that I am SOOOOO ready to sail off into the sunset??

OH I found TOUCHABLE bubbles.

You can apparently touch them and they won't break.

Gus
How cool is that??!! What a great Dad you are!
Are you getting terribly excited about the Dolphin excursion? I can't even imagine it....it just seems like a dream.

Heading out. Going to practice my best stern "Mom face" so that the school will think I take this seriously.

WONDERFUL WEDNESDAY MORNING TO ALL OF THE HOLIDAY CRUISERS!!

HAPPY CHANUKAH!!

GUS.......................WHEN WE WERE AT PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN ON NOV. 8 THAT IS WHEN WE BOUGHT THE EYE PATCHES, THE HOOKS, THE SWORDS (PLASTIC OF COURSE) AND ALL OUR OTHER STUFF.

Also bought the two grandsons pirate hats and had "Cap'n Nick" and "Pirate Porter" embrodiered on them. They do the machine embrodiery free on main street. When walking into Magic Kingdom, 1st store on right is candy store, to the side of the candy store is the hat shop. (someone else will know the official name......like Mary or Mark!!)

DH even bought me chains and handcuffs. What was he thinking?

Linda

Thanks Linda...you're the best

Hello,

Our family (myself, spouse and two kids - age 2 and 7) will be on the 12/18 sailing. We're looking forward to this a great deal.

I've been reading a bit and I know these have probably both been covered in previous messages, but given the number of messages in this thread and no search function, I figured it would be OK to ask again.

1) Dress code for dinners - I can't find any information about how many nights of each attire will be on this cruise due to its non-standard length. Can anyone detail it? Need to know how many nice outfits to pack.

2) December Movies - does anyone know which movies are playing on board for this cruise? We're hoping to see National Treasure and The Incredibles, actually saved the later for the cruise.

Other than that, we're just about ready to go. Still haven't decided what to do in Antigua and St. Lucia, but ready to go!

Thanks in advance.

Welcome jtrain73.......My DS is almost 7. Is your 7 year old a boy or girl?
It really does not matter to him he plays with everyone.

There are 3 formals, Captains dinner, a formal and semi formal.

I have heard that The Incredibles will be playing ( I think )

See you and your family really soon.

That is a surprise.... as all we've found out is the 2 nights..... Oh well... surprises are good...

Didn't someone post that the Captains dinner was the most formal night?

OK ...here is a newbie question.

Does everyone participate in the Captain's dinner or only a selective few.

Thanks

Tina, I think your kids may have sent their germs down our way. Both kids got up just after going to bed and visited the porcelain god. Not good! DD has her choir concert tomorrow, and I reminded her that it's a BIG part of her music grade. So now I'm awake waiting for them to fall asleep. Kind of hoping it was just something they ate at the oriental buffet. Although the only thing that both of them ate was the sherbert, and I don't know if you could get contaminated frozen stuff.

It must be going around ...we worship the Porcelain God up here in Canada as well.

All four of us had it a few days ago.

confession time for me.

Sometime DM makes me crazy. I am her primary care giver and she lives in my home. She gets around pretty well in familiar surroundings and she has been on Magic and Wonder enough to know where places are. I hope you will not think me a b***h when I leave her alone. Just need some space sometimes.

Thanks for listening.

Sue ...if you need someone to be with your Mom for a little break sometime, I won't mind one bit.
Seriously.... don't be afraid to ask.

I'm glad they managed to work things out...hope the school understands.

Are you getting terribly excited about the Dolphin excursion? I can't even imagine it....it just seems like a dream.

Very excited about that one.....did you know DD talks about swimming with dolphins pretty much on a daily basis. I swear she knows something.
The other day she wanted to know how much money was needed to fly to the Bahamas and if she had enough in her account, because she heard you can swim with dolphins there. ( so she doesn't know )
She went on and explained how she wanted to buy the plane ticket down there and if I could pay the rest.

Do you think after the big surprise on the 18th........I could possibly keep the dolphin swim a surprise. We shall see.
I think it's possible. I just won't take her to the information meeting for Antigua.

By the way ....we asked DS about Dolphin swimming a long time ago and he didn't want to do it.
Besides he is not old enough, they will not allow him to go.

Its 02:45....too much coffee.

Ok i know i should be thinking about the cruise and i am, 100%. BUT i was wondering if any knew if there is a place to watch ABC on the ship??? See THe 1st sunday on the ship is the last episode of Desperate Housewives befores it goes on a 2-3 week break. I am addicted to it and i don't want to miss it. Anyone know if i could watch it on the ship??? Thanks.

Chris

Last post this morning......everyone has gone to bed.

Excursion cancellation alert:

About a month ago I cancelled several shore excursions and asked if I needed a cancellation number to confirm it.
I was told it was not required.

Today, just to be sure, I called to confirm the cancellations as to prevent unnecesary charges.
I am glad I called, they did not cancell one of them.

So....if anyone has canceled an excursion I'd phone again to confirm it.

That could have been costly.

Gus

Thanks for the reminder. I cancelled a few last week and asked for a fax confirmation. Didn't get. We never seem to get faxes from Disney.

Will call today to confirm they actually cancelled.

Starting now to plan our trips in January and February. Lisa has gymnastics competion meets through out Florida so we are on the road.

Gymnastics for her. Diving for Matt.

Just spent some time on the main board since no one is out here at this time of the morning, I don't take it personal any more.

Someone just posted that they took the coffee shop out of the terminal and use that area to register kids for the Labs and Clubs. Sign them up and get the beeper before going on the ship.

Great Idea.

Chris - ABC is owned by Disney. You'll be able to watch it right in your room!

:flower1: Good Morning Cruisers! :flower1:

Happy Wednesday!

Stacey - good luck at school today!

Gus - I think once you tell them about the cruise you should tell her about the dolphins too. She sounds like a smart one and that will be her first question. From that point on just enjoy!

Well I'm off to read the boards and then get ready for work. I'll be back!

That is interesting about the formal/semi formal. Could the "other" semi formal be one of the theme nights "to be announced", I wonder?

Therese, do you have a about an inch of ice in everything in Boston too?

Actually we live right in downtown Boston - across from Fanuiel Hall - and it is not that bad here. For some reason we always get warmer weather, some say it is the water.

back to catching up on the posts!
