DH and I took a 4 day trip up to Washington this past summer and I insisted he pack his own stuff. I reminded him several times and he did get all his camera gear, toys, etc. Even remembered his medicine this time, but forgot to pack his CLOTHES!! We had to do a shopping trip and get pants, shirts, socks and skivies. Gotta love 'em. I will be doing the packing for this trip.

Hello - wow thought I could sneak in and grab a top, but then there are 3 posts ahead of me.

(I have seen the people leaving the ship because we are waiting to board the ship. This is one of the benefits of living nearby and having Jim's parents take us to the Ship)

If I get to the port and see a tent set up with a family of 4 camped out there, I'll know the scuba family spent the night at the port!!

Ohiominnie--What day are you leaving and how far are you driving the first day?

We're leaving Thursday, December 16th, probably around 5:00a.m. When we do this we usually get to at least southern Georgia. Sometimes we've made it as far south as Ocala, FL (about an hour from WDW) My parents will be convoying with us, so some of our plans will have to factor in that (if it was just the 4 of us, we'd drive non-stop, skip lunch and get farther!)

Packing is shared at our house. We talk about the clothes together, but then I pack up all the clothes. Mark is in charge of the camera bag (and camera bag if we bring it which we aren't this trip).

UPS just left ,new bathing suit , old one doesn't fit, too much pumpkin pie. No docs. Maybe tomorrow, I don't know why I am so antsy, I am going, have seat assignment on plane, cabin number on ship, paid in full statement, passport, kennel reservation,.....

I have one too --- also one that pretty much just shows up for vacation --- expecting all his stuff to be packed and ready to go. We are pretty amazing --- I think we all need to have a group toast on the cruise!!!

Don't ya just want to throw that cell phone out the window sometimes :jumping4:

Just confirmed the satelite phone rental will be mailed on 12/13 and delivered on 12/16. That's one more thing crossed off my list.

Hello all, I love your thread, just found it yesterday. We are on the boat too! It is me, my DH and DD (age 5). This is our third DCL trip but first for the holidays and we are sooo excited. We booked this trip in Jan 04 while on our last 7 day DCL. We have not got our docs yet, my neighbors must be wondering why I keep looking out the front window.

Our packing ritual is for me and my DD to lay everything out and my DH does the packing. He is the best at getting everything to fit and be organized.

We are arriving on the 16th to spend a couple of days at the parks as a warm up and do the MVMCP. Oh I just cant wait!

Welcome to the thread. I'm sure Mary will be on giving you some information about our newsletter.

We've got meets planned. Lots of us are going to MVMCP on the 17th, some are staying at the airport, others near the port. We plan to meet in line at the port, also at 3:00 by the pools, also a wine party, also a group photo, also, we're all going to rebook another cruise together....right???
