Brain Malfunction!!

What is the weight limit of checked bags? At the airport. I almost broke my bathroom scale. It wouldn't register with just the suitcase on it, so I held the suitcase, and weighed. :earseek:

Usually 50 lbs.

Thank goodness it does not apply to us since we are not flying in. Our scuba bag and wine both weight more than that.

I saw that - but that wasn't a garment bag - it was the bag the wedding dress came in. Long light vinyl one. Now way would I check that.
My garment bag is fairly protective, but not durable enough to trust those guys with. I used to sit and watch them out the window as they loaded baggage. I can't stand to watch anymore, the way they throw things around!

Just came back from the neighbors. We had Port and Lava Cake by their outdoors fireplace.

Had to come home because the winter coats and fire were not warm enough.

It's 40 degrees out there. I really hope it warms up for you all.

Just remember when packing, it will get chilly at nights. After all it is winter.

Guess I'l have to take some things out of mine and put them in Jordan or Jared's.
I think it was 56 or 58. And I held that with one hand! WOW.
Oh....don't tell Jay that...he'll make me carry it all!

Still 67 here right now. It got up to 80 today.
Last Saturday we sat freezing at soccer, this time I was tanning!

Signing off for now. I may not be back. Chances are, I'll fall asleep on the couch.
If so.....have a good evening......and a wonderful Sunday!

Whoo Hooo.......next Sunday we'll be in Key West!! I can't believe it!!!

The high today was 45 here. We'll have light jackets if we get chilly. ;)

Dee - USAir tosses garment bags just like everything else. I might touch up iron at the hotel. I am not taking an evening gown so it works out ok for me.

We just got back from dinner with some friends at The Garlic in New Smyrna Beach.

We vacation every summer in NSB. Great family oriented town with great beaches and restraunts. Our favorites are Sea Harvest and Dixie Cross Roads in Titusville. Rockshrimp Broiled and dipped in butter is a must!

We're newbies here. Was invited over here by WDWLVR. Can I get some info on the decorations exchange party? This cruise is to celebrate our 25th anniversary and we are looking to have a lot of fun. We are taking the kids with us too so any of you that have teenagers, I have a 14 year old girl and a 16 year old boy.

Yeah, Paul.......didn't you see it??? She was a Supermodel and they showed her standing there with no clothes on......Man, sorry you missed it!
Shoot! I miss all the cool stuff!

Paul

WElcome - glad you found us. There is a separate teen thread full of teens - have your kids sign on and join the party. I'll let ohiominnie tell you about the ornament exchange as she is organizing it. I'll pm you with the link to the web page.

Hello All 10 nighters!!!!

As you can see I just joined the DIS board. "WVMD" was kind enough to invite me over here. This will be our third DCL cruise in 3 years. Really looking forward to next week. I wish I had known about the DIS board earlier but I guess it is better late than never :D .

Here's to new friends and great experiences :drinking1

BTW: Any DIS Divers here going underwater in St. Lucia (Dive Fair Helen)?

TazDev

Welcome TazDev!!

YES we are diving through Dive Fair Helen as Scuba Diver already mentioned. Michael over there said he had a couple of more divers that were DIS divers that I didn't know. I'm sure he was confused about the DIS boards and Disney Cruise, but hey, It's all good.

If your booked with them then at least we well see you on that trip. Please get together with us and get acquainted at one of the get togethers we have planned. You surely don't have the time now to read the back postings (a very busy group) but we will all help you with what ever info you need.

Greetings tinksdad !

Yes, the other "two" divers that Michael mentioned must be us. I got the info on Dive Fair Helen through the DIS Divers site and made the ressies last week. I asked him if it's OK for us to join the group and he didn't say it would be any problem. I just assumed that he asked the group leader.

I hope it's OK for us to join you and the rest of the DIS divers. I apologize for not asking you first but I didn't know who to contact.

We will swing by one of the gatherings to say "Hi".

Not in bed yet, but on my way.

Welcome 3timecruisers! We live in Cave Creek...just up the road a piece. We have a daughter, 14 and son, 11.

Mark....Virgil...anyone with Tech knowledge....I saw an ad for Dell's AximX50v......is this something that you can travel with, and connect to the internet wireless? Like if you're on a plane (is that allowed?) or in the car? They don't seem expensive enough to have that technology.

Welcome also to TazDev......I have a friend who's crazy about Taz. Named one of her cats Taz, even.

No problem! Now we have 8 divers in our DIS group. I think that is there max for the boat anyway. Should be a blast.

Are you diving elsewhere as well?

Our small group is diving in Antigua and St. Thomas as well. Looking forward to it.

See you're from South California. One of my favorite places to dive is Catatina and San Clemente. Love those kelp forests and interesting sea life.

There are two competing wireless methods, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. But they really arn't competing any longer. Bluetooth is being turned more and more to inside an office use and Wi-Fi is the solid popular choice for internet in places that have 'hotspots'.

That handheld has Bluetooth. But you can add Wi-Fi to ANY handheld for a minimal cost. However, it will eat the battery life of the little device too. It's not all that easy.

Also any handheld's ability ot truly 'connect' like reading here is very limited. Most have limited browsing and email and some times instant messaging.
