I was just looking at a navigator from the 7 day western (4/12/04) off of Dave's site and on the first sea day they did have "walk a mile" listed undert he spa and they said to meet in Preludes. That one starts at 8 am so I think 7:30 would be a good time to get ours started and beat them :D

After leading the parade, Mickey will toss the coin before the 91st
Rose Bowl football game.

The game the Buckeyes have NO chance of going to. Now our season goal is just one thing....keep the state up north from going to the Rose Bowl! ;)

I'd be interested in walking --- anything for an extra treat!!! I really love walking but I don't like to do it by myself --- I look funny talking to myself...:earseek:

Today's joke. I thought it was appropriate since we recently found out there are sharks at Castaway Cay:rolleyes:

“May I go swimming, Mommy?”
“No, you may not. There are sharks here.”
“But Daddy’s swimming.”
“He’s insured.”

What decade are really you from? http://www.nestlesignatures.com/SweetBreakQuiz.asp?lngSessionId=592165376&

I'm a child of the '60s
Peace, man. So maybe you're not a flower child in the truest sense, but you are likely to be a forward-thinker who's got an eye on the world around you. The age of flower power brought us miniskirts, free love, the space race, and lots of political activism. Times they were a changing. And like your decade counterpart, you probably wouldn't mind seeing some things changing for the better. Whether that's saving the environment, the whales, or your fellow humans, you've got an interest in creating a better world and protecting something that's important to us all – the future. Groovy!

:bday: :cake: HAPPY BIRTHDAY JOHN!! :bday: :cake:

AND HAPPY BIRTHDAY ::MickeyMo

Good Morning....took me 40 minutes to get to this point. You guys do a lot of talking and planning in the mornings!!

I'm with Diana....I will either be sleeping in (vacation ), on my way to an excursion, or on the verandah with my coffee....so you can look down and wave at me!

I actually DID to go bed last night when I signed off. Surpirsed the whole family. Guess I needed to catch up on the zzzz's.

Off to work...everyone have a really great day!!

Stacey

P.S. VIRGIL......sent you a PM!!

Just had to try Jenny's link.....

I am a child of the '70's .....BIG surprise there!!!

Goodness....does that mean I haven't changed at all since Junior High and High School????

My error. I was thinking of Durand which is on 69 between Flint and Lansing.

But than there is Jackson, which was home to the use-to-be-famous Jackson Dairy (aka Louds) I hear it is closed now. To bad. Matt never had a chance for a Dare to Be Great.

LOL! The Jackson Dairy is alive and well (under new management) Just last weekend, DS #1 and two of his scout pals ordered the "dare to be great" and had a major brain freeze after!!

Happy Birthday John! You are in good company with Mickey!princess:

Good point! Just go to the front of the line....I have a feeling that's where most of us will try to be! ;) Oh, woe to the people who inadvertantly got in line between two families of DIS'ers!

Any of you eager beavers care to join me in the crip line?

Sometimes! On the Western last year we bought him a little sombrero and it ended up on the towel monkey that night. Usually he just gets the mints. :D He also has a very important job each cruise. He gives the room steward the tip envelope!

Does Bear know what the tip amounts are for a 10-day cruise? I like to have them in envelopes before the cruise so I have the $$ left to pay them :earsgirl:

Wow. Cool, I started to post, but the phone rang and I was distracted. Came back, hit "reply" and got a TOP! Love it!

The *real* question is, will Mark and Mary tip as if there are three "people" in their room? ;)

Kara -- I'm sorry about your experience...My TA is from DU -- I don't know if that makes a difference, or if it's the notorious DCL inconsistency (were you here for the 90-day Shore Excursion Reservations Fiasco?)

At any rate…I'm sorry...:(

No problem Dee! I mentioned to my TA that your TA was with DU and she said she asked DCL if the DU TAs got some type of special treatment. They said no, so we tried that.

Aren't your dining ressies linked with others? I think that might be why you were able to pre-book. My TA was told that people with group ressies could pre-book.

No problems - like I said, if I have to go book the brunch on boarding day, I'm gonna try to sneak in another dinner too!

Cheers, Kara

That's not nice to refer to yourself like this!! *I* would surely never refer to you as this!! I can be a bit politically incorrect, but never this heartless!

Be nice to yourself, Lynda!

So, just imagine that you are a regular person waiting to board this cruise. You see two families in front of you greet each other like long lost friends, with hugs all around. Much excited chatter ensues. Next thing you know, the same thing is happening right behind you. You think, "oh #$*&! I must be on a convention cruise!" You spend the rest of your cruise trying to avoid "that big, noisy group" but they're everywhere! They make more noise at dinner than all the rest of the tables combined, their kids travel in packs (which makes you nervous), and when you try to find a spot for a quiet drink, there they are! At night, in the clubs, they are always the ones involved in the skits, which causes great pandemonium amongst their friends.

There's only one solution for this. When you get home, you'll just write a long, angry post on the DIS boards, asking who you should send your complaint to.

And to top it all off.........they all have 2 way radios and they all talk to each other on them.

Just a thought if there is interest in all of us staying on the same channel.
How about Channel 12 and sub Channel 18.
Easy to remember, it matches the cruise date.

Dropping off the car at Budget, while DW and kids wait in line.

BTW.....is it relatively sane checking in or is it a long wait?

Gus

Really good idea --- so how many DIS'ers will be at the "front" of the line!!!

AFFF -- DH will also be dropping our car at Budget --- you might get the same shuttle back!
