The keynote speaker at my St. Louis conference was Dr. Robert Webster , who said, among many other interesting things, that those who plan on taking a cruise during flu season should talk to their physician about the FluMist vaccine or a prescription for TamiFlu to take onboard with you.

FluMist is only indicated for those 5-49 years old with no reactive airway disease (asthma). I thought I'd pass it along.

I talked to our GP and we got the FluMist on Monday (it goes up your nose and drips to your throat, it's disgusting). They warn you that you may experience mild flu-like symptoms for a couple of days (it's a live vaccine). My DH was fine, but I spent yesterday being completely miserable...luckily it only lasted 1 day.

Just FYI.

I believe it was Shakespeare that said " Brevity is the Soul of Wit".
Not that this describes me but it's a cool phrase!

Paul

So Virgil -- TFD? Is that "The Formidable Doctor"?

:teeth:

I have this thing about acronyms...I have to invent new meanings...It's a sickness, I tell you. Or a good drinking game. ::yes::

That's a good one! I think Virgil would love to have that name!

I unfortunately know what TFD stands for and I can't help but chuckle every time I see it. I know Virgil, I'm such a juvenile!

Not quite, but you will be soon. Woke up and couldn't fall back to sleep so I came online for a while. Even went over to cruise critic and added another link (to our cruise web page which has a link to here). Hopefullly we'll get realtorlady over here. Your link worked which surprised me because I thought they didn't like that.

So off to bed I go

Welcome sugaswim!
