DIS Damsels?? or Dames...............

I'm somewhere in the middle. Too old to be young, too young to be old.

My mom just had her birthday last friday (the 29th). She turned 47. Doesn't seem so old anymore.

Wow Jenny - Your Mom turned 47! Honey you are a Baby!

Now I feel old.......................

I have an older brother too. I'm not trying to make people feel old. I'm sorry if I am.:( I think my parents are cool.

Oh my. I have a sister that is older than your mom!
I'm glad to be cruising with you. It'll be fun to have all ages of ppl. We'll all glean so much from each other. :) And even if we don't LEARN anything from each other, at least we'll have a lot of FUN!!
:rockband:

You folks were busy last night!! While you all were chatting, we were watching Shrek II. Loved it.

1978!! My oldest DD was born in 1968! Of course I was a child bride.

NASCAR: Has anyone done the Petty Driving Experience? I have set DH up to do that prior to the cruise. I'm thinking he will have a great time. He is doing 3 laps with a professional driver and then 9 laps on his own.

Yup, that was a funny movie. Gotta love Puss in Boots when he looks at ya with those big eyes.

Our DS never did stop kissing and hugging us. He kissed me once IN PUBLIC, in front of peers he had just met when he was 14. That one surprised me and was, I think, my favorite kiss he ever gave me. He is now 26 and still very affectionate. Still gives his Dad and I goodnight hugs and kisses whenever he is at home. Lives in Arizona now so the hugs and kisses are less. They will be home for Thanksgiving though. :Pinkbounc :bounce:

My mom was 4 days shy of her 18th birthday when she got married. My co-workers gave me hard time when I got married too young (I was 1 month shy of my 21st birthday).

We have it here at Daytona International. I have never done it, but have been with people when they have. Everyone has just loved it. I have never heard a bad thing about it. If DH likes racing he should like this.

I haven't. But the "delswife" family has. I know it's in her trip report (somewhere in the 150 page epistle!)

YIPPIE! The guys just came and roped off the perimeter of the fenced in area of the yard. Maggie is going to have a field day out there!! Unfortunately, the rope won't keep her in just yet, but they tell me that it may be done by the end of the week! Oh goodie, just in time for her to get spayed!!

We do probably need a plan for getting GaRry post 15000. He definitely deserves it. Ideas anyone??

Well, I think the best bet would be for GaRry to forgo all household chores and all work related responsibilites and stay logged onto the DIS 24/7. Although, if we have another evening like we had last night, we could hit 15,000 very quickly!!

GaRry, where are you? What are your plans for securing 15,000?

47? I'm 47! Ok I'm officially old! :D
Well I do believe is that you are as old as you feel. So some days I feel 16 and some days I feel 60.

My FIL did the Petty experience at WDW and loved it!

As for the Nascar drivers - Jr. is one of my favorites but I have respect for all the drivers. I used to hate Jeff Gordon, but like him a lot better the last couple of years. I think his divorce has made him more of a real person.

Count me in for ladies night! I'm usually an early to bed type person but I'm all for making an effort to spend one night with the Dis ladies!

My goodness, Mary, you're old enough to be my big sister!! ;)

Actually, I DO have a 47 yr old sister--and one who is 48 :)

Yeah, me too! Is this going to be something we will plan in advance and put in our mini-navigator?? I may have to prep the family on this one...."uh, I love you all, but I'm going to hang out with people I met on the internet" :earseek:

Hey, why don't all the girls have a SPA day? Or all sign up for the "girls night at the spa?"

For that matter, why don't all the women link their dining and we can all eat on main dinner and all the men could eat on late dinner! :hyper:

Do they do ladies night on the Magic? I thought that was only on the Wonder.

I'm up for a spa night, a club night, or just hanging out on deck 10 and talking. We could even do the adult pool/hot tub one night.

If we agree on something we can certainly put it in the mini-navigator.

Doing a little calculating....
We now have over 14,000 posts. And over 131,595 views of this thread. That means our percentage of posting is 10.9%. Not bad.

I'm a little worried about the repositioning cruises taking over, but they don't post as much...
The FLA-CA thread only posts 5% of the time they view.
The CA-FLA thread only posts 4% of the time they view.

I think we're safe for now. :)

Are we allowed to keep this post going once we've sailed? Or will we be booted?

I will be 47 in March....and I'm right there with you, Mary. Somedays I feel like a kid, and other days I'm writing my own eulogy.
(I have to write it, so that I know there will be at least ONE nice thing said!)
