Oh, one more thing-----------

someone mentioned that DCL would post on their website when they decided which nights were what (i.e. formal, Pirate)

I went on the website this morning. Where do you find that info cuz I sure couldn't find it anywhere.

Linda - that was me. According to Debbie at DCL the theme nights will be posted on the website as soon as they are decided. I am assuming they will be posted under the dinning section but since they have not been determined yet there is nothing on the website. I keep checking everyday so I will let everyone know when something shows up.

Does anyone have any info or insight into what the themes will be for each night on the cruise???

We are so used to having navigators to look at to determine which nights are formal nights, theme deck parties, buffets, etc. We also use this to plan our clothing options, excursions choices, Palo and spa reservations, etc... We're lost without it!

PS - We just got back from a long weekend at SSR and MNSSHP. We had a great time but boy are we tired!!!

Good Wednesday Morning Everyone!!!

:bday: Happy Birthday David :bday:

Looks like it might be a few days before we find out who won last night. Seems to remind me of 4 years ago. Guess we will just have to wait to see what happens.

Welcome back goofydadeo - see my post that is right above yours. We are all waiting anxiously for DCL to put out this information. It sure does make it hard to plan.

:wave2: Morning everyone!:wave2:

How about some elevator humor?

An old woman is riding in an elevator in a very lavish New York City building, when a young and beautiful woman gets into the elevator, smelling of expensive perfume. She turns to the old woman and says arrogantly, "Romance by Ralph Lauren, $150 an ounce!

Then another young and beautiful woman gets on the elevator, and also very arrogantly turns to the old woman saying, "Chanel No. 5, $200 an ounce!"

About three floors later, the old woman has reached her destination and is about to get off the elevator. Before she leaves, she looks both beautiful women in the eye, farts, then says,...............................

"Broccoli...... 49 cents a pound!!!"

That's just the botulism bug growing.

Botulism. Took care of a baby with that once. Pretty cool disease......if you catch it early enough. :)

Speaking of my old nursing days. At the play today I saw a woman I recognized. Turns out, I took care of her son in the SICU when he was a month old. He was there for quite awhile. He's 10 now, and about 5 foot tall. Not bad considering he was a tiny preemie. And he's smart as a whip. Good to see he's doing so well. :)

Yeah, but the BIG difference is, the reporters will all be standing around outside doing their reporting and it's chilly and grey and rainy here. At least in FL they had sunshine and clear skies.

Welcome to Ohio weather in November---and for that matter, October, December, January, February, March and April. It's disgustingly grey here for 7 months of the year. :(

Diana,
We have a bottle of wine that a friend made for Christmas with the honey from the bees Jay used to keep....it's corked...(maybe GaRry's horse had good aim.....but I'm afraid to open it. There is something in the bottom of the bottle...particles of some sort.
It looks disgusting. Too bad, because most of her wines are very good. Probably the honey!
I wouldn't be too concerned about the sediment on the bottom. Sounds like the bottle could be a Mead, which if done right is REALLY good. Very potent as well. The commerical versions of wine and beer are filtered to get the sediment and yeast out. The home made versions usually are not. It's probably just yeast at the bottom, and those are our friends!!! Don't shake it up when you pour it and have fun!:hyper:

It's early, where is everyone?

Jenny....a joke?

Sorry Stacey, you posted at 11:49 pm EST. WAY past my bedtime.

Red Jenny Flint - thank you again for putting the word out there - now did I read your post right? you saved $148 a ticket? [/SIZE]

No. We saved $94 per ticket total, minus $20 per ticket change fee for a total of $148 for 2 tickets. :teacher: Sorry if I confused you.

:cake: :bday: Happy Birthday, David! :bday: :cake:

DH and I finally got out and voted last night, took us an hour. We have the new touch screen voting machines! It was really cool, and so easy to use! Love that...now, if we only knew for sure who our president will be...

My morning started out auspicously, I think. Locked myself out of the house. Grabbed all my stuff for the day, walked into the garage, closed the door, and realized that my keys were still inside...Had to call DH to come back home to let me in (at least I had my cell phone!). He'd only been at work for about 30 minutes and it's a 20 minute drive home. Ooops! :teeth: Glad he loves me!

Well, have a good day all!

Cheers, Kara

Good Morning!

That's okay, Jenny...you made up for it this morning!! LOL

Kevin...it is a Mead....should I save it and bring it on the cruise instead?? I can a few more weeks!

We had FROST this morning!!! Wow! Also turned on the furnace.

I guess I am just plain stupid, I have never found on DCL's site where they listed the theme nights.....guess I'll do some hunting. I always looked at the old navigators.

Did you see the old courthouse in Maryland burning? Maybe that's why we haven't seen Charlotte in so long??? (KIDDING!)

And Mary....as for cargo.....you haven't seen me lately! I do not look like the picture on your site! Trust me....that was at least 25 pounds ago! And NOT to the minus.....darn it.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAVID!! :cake: :bday:

Maybe I could just inject the wine into my wrinkles then!

Arrrgg! Now my work computer is dead! So I'm desk hopping, which makes it tough to do much work. So I'll DIS instead!

Still wondering who's going to be president. We've had a number of discussions about electoral college today. And found out that if they can't decide this way, the house of representatives actually casts the final vote. Hmmm don't remember that discussion 4 years ago.

On to more important discussions....excursions. Here's our final decisions.

Key West - just wandering on our own.
St. Martin - Shipwreck Cove Snorkle excursion through DCL
St. Lucia - 2 hour horseback riding w/ beach through International Riding Stables
Antigua - me and DS, Kayak and Eco Tour through DCL (afternoon)
DH and DD, stingray and snorkle through DCL (afternoon)
St. Thomas - Coral World on our own
Castaway Cay - DH and DS morning bottom fishing

Anyone joining us?

Lisa

Isn't that if it's a 269-269 tie?? Thought I heard that Chaney would cast the deciding vote. Hmmm.

Sorry Karen - have to correct your spelling. It's Cheney. Not being political at all - that's my maiden name. :D

Jay is still standing in line outside Town Hall, as is Megan. The line just now when Jared and I drove by was TWICE as long as when I was there!! If I waited 3 1/2 hours, does that mean they will wait 7 hours??? And it's cold out there.

Okay Stacey-----cold in Arizona? Does that mean it was 60 degrees outside?????

:umbrella:

Ha, thanks! Actually, I have a card here right by my computer that says Chaney and Thomas Insurance Agency. It's here to remind me to call them about something. Guess I have ChAney on my brain today. Thanks for the correction--don't worry, I can take it. :)

Looks like we might have ourselves a new president according to AP reports.
