Ironically, that's one of the first things I said to DH this morning. "Good morning. 7 weeks from TODAY I'll be in Key West." To which he replied "So will I." Then he did a na-na-nah-nah-na kinda thing.

An "old saying"
Worth His Salt

In every language, culture and religion, salt is the most important element that drives the life force.

Was that off the top of your head? Amazing!! Great answer.

:smooth: Besides, if you don't answer the door, some little goblin may decide to "egg" your house!!

Seriously, around here, we don't get any 'little' goblins, only big ones that really have no buisness doing so. The little ones all go to organized trick or treat places at schools/community centers/malls and such. I am kind of put off for participating around here now. One year, we wern't around late to hand it out and had the cute toppers on the Malibu lights. All the other lights were off. Because we didn't feed them, they broke about half of the lights themselves. Since then, I'm not too keen on this holiday. :/

That was a great answer by tinksdad.

I knew that from Star Trek with the episode with the salt monster.

Hey Lorraine - good to see you again....

I went to the US Postal Service site and found out the following information.....http://www.usps.com/communications/news/press/2004/pr04_060.htm

Dec. 13 is the last recommended day to Airmail letters and cards to Europe - so you should have some time.....

As others have said - you can print out digital pictures at a bunch of different places.... Ritz Cameras, most of the instant photo places at WalMart, drug stores, etc......

Not sure about WDW - I'm sure one of the more recent WDW Disers can answer that....

Happy Halloween Mateys pirate:

Stacey, getting back a few pages:tongue: to you roganization. Thanks for explaining (whew) for a minute I hust thought you were really AR. :teeth:
Glad to know its just organized.

Chargers vs. Raiders today and Halloween to boot. Man the freaks will be taking over the place today.

Decorated the front very frstive for our holiday at home. DH and I will trade off with the girls so we both can watch trick or treat and still hand out candy. Just have to decide what cocktail will be the drink of choice for "trick or drinkers".
Have a safe holiday everyone.

Hey Leilani, pm me on your choice of vino.

cheers- D

Well, I AM that, too......::yes::

Mark...I don't blame you one bit!! That's why I have never let my kids go Trick or Treating with groups of friends. If one of us "adults" (term used loosely) isn't with them, then they don't go.

A little bit Mark didn't share. The year we didn't have the candy was the year my mom died. She died on the 26th of October and we were a little pre-occupied by all that to buy candy. I stopped on the way home from work that night but the stores were all out. The next year we went to WDW to be there for her anniversary as well as our wedding anniversary (yes she died one day before our 7th wedding anniversary). Needless to say we haven't been very fond of the holiday since then.

A big part of it is as Mark pointed out is that we don't get cute little kids. We get teenagers who if they don't like your candy will tell you so. :(

A very Happy Halloween to those of you who do celebrate! Just don't think too badly of those who don't answer the door.

Stacey, are you coming here for Halloween? :smooth:

Better take some of those miracle pill on the cruise, you wouldn't want to miss anything!

The family went off to a movie today, I'm working on listings. I have kid duty tomorrow, no school, so it's only fair. Gives me an excuse to take her to a movie that I want to see. "Shall We Dance" looks like a good chick flick! Won't be as good as the Japanese version, I'm sure.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN
I miss making costumes, DD & DS haven't gone T or T in a few years. One of the Docs at our hospital had a huge party for several years and invited all of the hospital. It was great - he hasn't done that in a couple years (got too expensive)

Mary thank you for all that you have done for us. We are fortunate to have you on this cruise with us. I am really looking forward to cruising with so many friends. (and I like knowing soooo many eyes will be looking out for DD & DS) princess: & pirate:

:listen: - I hear my laundry calling again

will try to check in again later

You just never know..... Better not go in the back room and hide!!

Will try to check in when we get back from our friends....I need to go begin layering my clothing so I don't freeze out there!

I forgot, I was going to say, I had told Jordan she wasn't going to T or T this year, but that Jared could since he's younger than her.

We all missed Halloween last year, we were in Jamaica, and then went on to Bonaire. Spent Halloween night at Margaritaville in Montego Bay!!

So, this will definitely be Jordan's last year......I may let Jared do it one more time, next year when he's 12.
I am totally against the "big" kids going....so after that, they will get to sit out in my friend's driveway with us, and hand out candy.

mean mom, mean mom

Well... another night at work..... Went shopping today..... managed to spend a bunch of money at Sam's club...It seems like whenever I go there - it doesn't matter what I need - we end up spending a bunch......

So far work has been tolerable tonight..... I'm able to watch the Steeler game some - so that's good.....

Be back later....

Happy Halloween!!!!!

Virgil - got it! All fixed - sorry!

OK - all you lurkers.... I noticed a few aren't on the lists.... Hmmmm I guess you're afraid we'll bite....

I do think that what Mary has put together will be a great help.....
Finding each other... and such....

I do think that the Door Tag game will give the kids something to do.... and some of us adults, too..... For the newbies - it consists of a Mickey Magnet head - that we'll just pass from door to door... sign off your room - and take it to someone who hasn't signed off and is on the list...... If it's Lauren taking it - I'll make sure that she has to go a few decks..... - I'll keep the rooms down the hall for me......

Have a great evening!!!
