Good Monday Morning All!!

We had a pretty good Halloween here. Alyssa got started at 6pm and did her spin around the neighborhood and then came back to help hand out candy.

Brittany got invited to a Minnesota Vikings football game so she was gone all day. She had a great time. It was her first professional football game and she really enjoyed it.

Okay, you can add me to the disabled list. I hurt my finger while moving funiture yesterday. It's hard to type with a bum finger. I am going into the clinic this morning to have it X-rayed to make sure it isn't broken. I'll try to let you know later how it goes.

Great newsletter as always Mary! I don't know what the mini-navagator is....but if it lists DIS meets and where they are can you include my family?

Have a happy Monday!

Teresa - the mini-navigator will have everyone who is interested listed with their room numbers. In addition anyone wanting to be part of the tag game will have a T in mouse ears next to their name.

I will list the main DIS meets in it as well if we know specifics (dates and times). I plan to have it for hand-out at the first major DIS meet at 3pm on sailing day.

The two main reasons to have it is so that people who want to get together (to share a cab to a destination, or for the kids to meet at the clubs etc.) have a listing of the room numbers, and to play tag.

Let me now if you still want to be included and also if you want a T for tag next to your room!

Happy Monday Everyone!

We did not have as many trick or treaters as we usually get. I have way too much leftover candy.

Mary- I can't find the November newsletter??? Any ideas on what I am doing wrong? I can pull up the page and all are listed except November.

Trying to be very productive the next few days as I am working quite a bit the next few weeks.

Hope eveyone has a great day!

Has anyone here ever done laundry on the cruise? (Leave it to the mom to ask!!!) Just wonderin' if we're better off to pack less and do laundry to have EXTRA room to bring back more stuff!!!!!!

Also, even tho we'll be in the tropics, do you think we still need to bring coats? I'm struggling with what clothes to bring, seeing as we will be leaving the iceman-cometh of Wisconsin......

We had THREE trick or treaters this year. Usually we have about 10-15. We have WAAAAY too much candy left over, but that is courtesy of Mickey and his MNSSHP!!

Edited to say: cool! Unexpected TOP!

I would say no to coats. I'll bring a sweatshirt though b/c sailing along at night creates a cool breeze and a sweatshirt makes a deck 4 stroll more enjoyable. Course, I'll probably have coats/hats/mittens in the car b/c we'll be coming from Ohio!

A man in a hot air balloon realized he was lost. He reduced altitude and spotted a man below. He descended a bit more and shouted, "Excuse me, can you help me? I promised a friend I would meet him half an hour ago, but I don't know where I am."
The man below replied, "You are in a hot air balloon hovering approximately 30 feet above the ground. You are between 40 and 42 degrees north latitude and between 58 and 60 degrees west longitude."

"You must be an engineer," said the balloonist.

"I am," replied the man, "but how did you know?"

"Well," answered the balloonist, "everything you told me is technically correct, but I have no idea what to make of your information, and the fact is I am still lost."

The man below responded, "You must be a manager."

"I am," replied the balloonist, "how did you know?"

"Well," said the man, "you don't know where you are or where you are going. You made a promise which you have no idea how to keep, and you expect me to solve your problem. The fact is you are exactly in the same position you were in before we met, but now, somehow, it's my fault."

I can soooo relate.

::yes::

I have done laundry on the ship - it is easy and it is worth it. I hate to bring home dirty clothes!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN
I miss making costumes, DD & DS haven't gone T or T in a few years. One of the Docs at our hospital had a huge party for several years and invited all of the hospital. It was great - he hasn't done that in a couple years (got too expensive)

Mary thank you for all that you have done for us. We are fortunate to have you on this cruise with us. I am really looking forward to cruising with so many friends. (and I like knowing soooo many eyes will be looking out for DD & DS) princess: & pirate:

:listen: - I hear my laundry calling again

will try to check in again later

Yes me too Vicki.......

There is this thread on another discussion forum regarding signing out privileges for children from the kids club.

I didn't give it much thought, as I did not know if parents had that option,( me being a newbie and all ) until I read it.

Personally................ my kids are still young and innocent enough ( oldest is 10 )
They are just going to have to stay in the kids club until we get paged, so we can pick them up. ( no roaming on there on for us )
I really don't trust anyone (except for my friends from this DIS board of course )
Thats just my nature and what DW and I have seen on the streets.

I remember being on a cruise with my Mom as a young child and wound up in a situation that I shouldn't of been in. ( guess what I was by myself )

I know one thing for sure.......where there are lots of children, there are questionable people who enjoy being amongst lots of children.

I don't mean to scare anyone, just my opinion thats all.

No trick or treaters here. We live too rural. :( I miss seeing the little ones.

We went to Walmart today and bought some gift cards to take with us. Thought we might hand out some to CMs for Christmas. Also almost finished our Christmas shopping. Now just a few left to wrap.:Pinkbounc :bounce: And I will be done with that. Then Thanksgiving and packing is all that is left.

Ok.......I have read it enough times ( remember I am a newbie )

I know what there are, I think..........What does CM stand for?

Hi everyone!

Only 20 trick or treaters here last night, and they were here and gone within the first half hour.

ohiominnie--Are you driving down? (I read you were leaving coats in the car, that's why I was wondering) We're driving down. I'm hoping the weather will be ok.

Is everyone planning on bringing a sweater or sweatshirt? I really wasn't thinking about it. My DD will bring something since she's aways cold. Does anyone know how cool it gets at night?

Judy

Good Morning!

Gus, on the ship, CM is a crew member. In the parks, CM is a cast member.

We didn't let our kids have sign-out privileges before, either. This will bethe first time that Jared (11) will be able to do that. I know where he will be though...the game room.
I go totally crazy when mine are in a car with someone else. That's why I prefer to drive them all over. I let my oldest take them because she drives like a little old lady.

We will definitely have sweatshirts for MVMCP at WDW the night before the cruise.
And we will also use them for the movie theater, it is sooooo cold in there. Jordan used one for the late night parties....

I am bringing a light sweater (plain white, so it goes with everything) because I found the dining rooms to be chilly, with the air conditioning on.
And it is nice to have at least something light for being on deck at night. It's not cold, or even chilly, just breezy.

:cheer2: :cheer2: MARY, GREAT NEWSLETTER!!! :cheer2: :cheer2:

YIPPEE!!!!!! We cruise NEXT MONTH!!

My friends loaned me their laundry rack, one of those things that you can hang clothes on to dry...I have one, too. I am hanging all of the dresses and shirts on them, so they don't get wrinkled in the closet, and will be ready to pack....I know, I'm insane. But our closets are stuffed so full....:(

Getting ready to head for the office.....once again, time has flown by....

Payroll, end of the month books.....

There probably is a method to my morning madness.....
