I'm off work today so my work will all be from home. Going to gather up the e-mails and pm's I've gotten over the last few days and put up the final lists for nav's, tag, and buttons. Cut off is Friday at noon.

Winter is finally here in Chicagoland - we have SNOW in the forecast for this afternoon!

Yes, the Scuba's watch the Amazing Race. Lisa is rooting for the Dad / Daughter. I think she really would prefer if it was her Dad and herself. She would love to do the challenges. Last night she said she would have volunteered to do the zip line down the Olympic Ski Jump. She has no fears (unlike her Mom). Lisa said to tell you she missed the first episode as well. It's taped on the hard drive of the TV, but I don't know how to work that yet - where's Matt when I need him. Oh yeah, Jim and he are rafting in Costa Rica today. (Ziplining through the forest tomorrow).

Well - another day at work..... I was tired yesterday - so went to bed early - well - early for me..... Hopefully everybody will be traveling today - and safe... so that I have a tolerable day......

Friday and the weekend will be bad - all of the patients sent in from the nursing homes.... family visits - they don't look as good as they did x months, weeks etc... ago - so the send their relative to the ER for an evaluation......

Another day closer!

I'm now on steroids, and was given a muscle relaxant to take at night and some pain medication. Took my steroids and muscle relaxant. I pray that they work and I get some sleep tonight.

Judy, I hope your night was O.K. and that you will now be on the mend. You have 24 days to get ship-shape. Sounds like they might have found the real problem yesterday at urgent care. You're in my prayers.

Thanks Virgil for helping me out. I got it. I also saw where there is a plan for an AM walking group... that's great. I hope it is all in the mini Nav...? Another idea I had is a book list. You can get through a lot of books in 10 days! If anyone is interested, email me the titles of any reading material (appropriate...) that you are planning on bringing and I can make a list and we can have a lending library.

I have heard that the book Sellavision is hysterical and I am going to bring it. It is a fictional spoof on QVC. Also, I may pick up David Sedaris's new book.
We will likely have a bunch of kid books with us, too...

I'm bringing the last two books in the Clan of the Cave Bear series (Plains of Passage and Shelters of Stone). I read really fast, so I wanted BIG books. I've read the whole series at least 4 times, but it's been about a year since I've read the last two. Happy to join in the exchange.

My kids will also have books with them. I'm giving them at least one or two for Christmas. DS likes fantasy, and DD likes horror. DD is now getting about 75% of her material from the adult section, which just means I have to pre-screen very HEAVILY!

Good Morning Cruisers!

Well as far as reading I am very voracious! Usually have at least a half dozen here unread as I can usually blow thru them in a weeks time. I'll bring at least two.

As far as the movies... while the films are predominantly Disney, DCL has in the past run films from non-Disney movie houses as well. Be best to just call them in a week or so and get the list.

Anyone getting excited yet???

whoa snow!? i'm so glad it hasn't gotten cold enough here to snow. well, it would be nice if it snowed but that means it would have to be cold on other days as well and i'm much rather enjoying the warmer than usual weather. i can't believe it still gets up to 55 and higher each day! last week it was mid 60s all week. hard to believe christmas is getting close...or the cruise for that matter!!!! but at my house we can't wait!!!!!!!!

Good Morning!
Another foggy morning here. 46 degrees....and damp. That makes it feel even colder.

I decorated for Thanksgiving! I have two turkeys that dance, one big one and one little one. The little one plays and dances to "The Chicken Dance"
I was playing them this morning, and that's the fastest I've ever seen Jared run out the door to school.
Nobody likes to have fun in the mornings here!

If I had the time, I can read one book every two days, but when I get into a book like that the family goes hungry!!

I have several books on my shelf right now that I haven't read yet. I know I took at least two to WDW when Megan and I went, and never touched them.

Judy...hope you're feeling better.....

reading the bourne series right now, but i will definately be done with those before we leave. they are just amazing. i will probably be on the da vinci code and brown's other book by that point (can't think of what that one is called at the minute...angels and demons, something like that). we'll see what i decide after i get through the last bourne book, i'm on supremcy right now and then finish up with ultimatum.

Virgil, I know what you mean about those "Holiday Family Visitors". I was at the home where Jay's dad was at least every other day, and some people had family members that I never knew existed, until a holiday rolled around. And they could find the littlest things to pick at. Used to make me so mad.

If I get really into a book I will read it anywhere. I keep it with me and dip in whenever I can even if I only have time for a few pages. But it is rare for a book to really grab me like that. Usually on holiday I read 3 or 4 a week.
