hey! i was just reading something the other day about how they've started doing a pirate themed night during cruises on the disney magic. there is a pirate themed dinner and deck party!! whoohoo!! it sounded really cool. (hopefully i'm not way behind someone else on posting this since i've been busy lately and haven't had much time to check this site!)

Here are some exciting details to look forward to on our upcoming cruise:

Holiday Highlights -- On December sailings, Disney Cruise Line
will host a festive holiday celebration starting in Disney's
private cruise terminal at Port Canaveral and continuing with a
Magical Holidays sailing onboard the Disney Wonder or Disney
Magic. Magical Holidays highlights include a three-deck-tall
tree-lighting ceremony in the atrium lobby, a visit from Santa
Goofy with surprises for all the kids, gingerbread house
decorating, traditional holiday feasts, holiday services, a
ship-wide party to ring in 2005, and a New Year's Day tailgate
party.

Disney's private island, Castaway Cay, will feature Mr. and Mrs.
Snowman, carolers, a 40-foot Christmas tree, and sleigh full of
presents as part of the holiday fun. In addition, Disney
characters in holiday attire will sign autographs and pose for
photos, while the island's tram has been decorated to resemble a
reindeer, complete with antlers and tail.

oh man that sounds fun!!! i seriously cannot wait. i have started leaving notes all over the place about it! on the wall in my mom's office i have a sticky note up that says "days till cruise" and then each day i take the sticky note with the number down and put a new one up! and on the 19th i handed her a note that something to the effect of "a month from now we get to watch the sunset in mallory square". maybe i'll leave her one about key lime pie tomorrow! mmmm can't wait for some of that!

I usually pack a few library books. I will go next week and then renew them just b4 the cruise. I will let you know what they are. I have been lucky and can finish 2 books on a cruise. Not sure about this trip with so much going on

i took a book the last time we went on the cruise but i don't think i read very much of it. although i have been all about reading lately so i will have to make sure i have a few books with me since i seem to be going through them pretty quickly!

I won't be bringing any books. I never had the time to read last cruise. We're driving instead of flying this time and I can't read in the car or Ill get car sick.

I've been in sooo much pain today that I went to a different urgent care center after dinner and after a much more thorough exam and x-rays, it turns out I have a pinched nerve. I'm now on steroids, and was given a muscle relaxant to take at night and some pain medication. Took my steroids and muscle relaxant. I pray that they work and I get some sleep tonight.

yeah...i'll probably have one book for the flight. but that's about it. i can't read in the car either. but somehow i read on a bus on sunday. i think the book was just that good that i wanted to finish it and didn't even realize it or something. but i never felt sick once! i was amazed!

man pain is no good. my friend just broke her jaw. she's from sweden and was going home for good around christmas time, but she is leaving forever tomorrow to go home for the surgery she has to get! soo sad! i've spent the last 4 years with her, 2 of them i lived with her and now she's going away ( i hope everything is ok!!

I just ordered some Pirate costumes for my two younger ones. DH will prbably just go with a bandana and my older DS will, too. I picked up a few eye patches in case they change their mind...

What IS the secret of gettin Palo reservations now...?

If you know what book you'll have on your plane ride, let me know so I can put it on a book list for others to borrow (if you are into sharing)

We booked a room at a motel in Jacksonville on the 17th so we can board earlier. Thanks to all of you for cluing me in!

i'm not sure about other themed nights, i just thought the pirate thing was cool. my sister and i just got pirate hats at disney world the weekend before last. she got the one with goofy ears and i got the one with mickey ears. we will definately be taking those along!!

i'll let you know what book i have when it gets closer. because i'm sure i will finish the book i'm reading now and 1 or 2 more before it's time to cruise. just remind me and i'll let you know!

If you signed up for the REAS package (Romantic Escape At Sea) either DCL or your TA can make your Palo Dinner reservation ahead of time as well as you Spa Appointment. You get the Palo dinner, a couples massage, as well as some other little treats as part of the package.

We booked it so that we don't have to do the ressie rush.

Jordan is bummed. But she learned an important lesson. Her original date for getting her braces off was February 05. They thought she could have them off before the cruise, but she didn't wear the rubber bands all the time like she was supposed to. So....she'll still have the braces on for the cruise. Maybe now she'll wear the rubber bands.
The doc told me that he would still take them off now if I wanted him to....but I told him no....she needs to learn.
MEAN MOM!

DD Vanessa was to only have her braces for 12 months she is going into year 3. I refuse to have her senior pictures taken next year with her still in braces. Gregg was to have had his 18+months and got his off in 12. Go figure.

Live from Costa Rica....Matt and I just arrived in the hotel. The travels were fine. The hotel has internet for us. The first thing Matt did was check out ESPN. It's just not the same in Spanish.

Tomorrow morning we leave at 6 am to start the adventure.
