Oh, and by the way.....that staying away from the stove thing is for ALL of us!! Teen girls, too.....
Can we all say "TAKE-OUT" ????

My TA called me on the final payment day, to be sure and double check......I didn't get the trip insurance.
I told her I didn't care who died, who was wounded.....I am going on this cruise regardless......and I mean it!!!

Paul, are there folks that book the same cruise every year?
Yep! We've cruised with this family three years in a row. I tried to talk them into the Christmas cruise but because of his business and the time of year they wern't able to do it.

Stacey........I said pretty much the same thing.

Even if I was on my death bed......I was still going, no matter what.

The family that we shared our table with on our first cruise is the family that we have met in Disneyland every Christmas since then. I tried to talk them into this cruise, too...but they had too many conflicts.
I really wish they could have shared this with us....:sad1:

Call me mean and cruel (I own that title)....but no matter who it is in my family that may be hurt, sick or dead, I am still going on this cruise. If it happens to be me that is hurt or sick...I'm still going. The way I see it, I'm a Mom...no matter how sick I am, no matter how much something hurts, no matter if I have just had surgery.....I still have things that I have to do at home...and if I have to "carry on" at home even if I'm sick....then by golly, I can go on a cruise!!

We have been determined from day 1 to go on this cruise, but we bought the insurance just because I feel like if we didn't something would happen and it is just to money to gamble with.

We've already discussed that no matter what happens we are going. Mark's grandmother is getting up in years and her health has been failing. I do think this will be the only time we actually do the holiday away from home. The guilt from the in-laws is already setting in and I'm sure it will get worse before it gets better. Its harder work wise as well. That's why this cruise will be special.

So Stacey you might be a mean mom (not!), but I'm the mean DIL taking her first born away from her at Christmas. :(

Hey Paul which family is that?
Garry got an email from Doug, he wants some pics from the canal. Could you send them to him as we are not on that cruise?

Mary, I'll believe that when I see Mark kicking and screaming while you're dragging him aboard.

Stacey, I'm so glad we don't do soccer anymore. I was pretty good at inserting my foot in my mouth too.

DW is not allowed to attend DD's sporting events......:p

It's bad enough that we have to be seen with her at WVU, Marshall and other sporting events....:earseek:

Diana - too funny. No Mark won't be kicking and screaming. He's looking forward to it as much as I am. Its the rest of his family that I think is against it. :D

Mary, my mom and dad aren't very happy that we are going away for Christmas either... I don't think it's us that they will miss so much as our DD... How dare we take her away from them at Christmas - and for three weeks... (especially since we just moved away in June)... We are having an early Christmas (the weekend of Dec. 3rd) and all of my family is coming to our place and spending the weekend. We'll do the traditional Christmas dinner, and we've booked sleigh rides, etc. Who knows, Santa might even show up...

Speaking of Christmas dinner...Turkey? Ham? Goose? Beef Wellington?...Shrimp?
Palo for Christmas dinner?

For us, Christmas dinner is a turkey dinner with all the fixings... plus ham, sausage, cabbage rolls, perogies, apple pie, cheesecake, squares ... all the food that makes you want to sleep for about 2 hours after you eat... on the cruise, we'll likely order the turkey dinner and one ham dinner (to share) ... it won't be a Palo day for us.... we looked at the Christmas menu from last year and DH drooled when he saw shrimp, so I'm sure he'll be having that, too... every chance he gets...

Christmas dinner. I have to get past Thansgiving and then its all down hill. Was thinking (dangerous to do) about having pork roast, sweet potatoes(Dan Quail spell check) with sauteed onions, green salad and creme brulee for a non traditional Thanksgiving. I won't have enough time to eat all the turkey otherwise.
found water socks for DD5 but not for the wee one. Might have to wait til Port Canaveral.
cheers-D

I usually don't do Thanksgiving, our friend Phil usually does it at his house. He's building a new house, that will be done around Christmas time...so I have to do the bird!!
I'm a little rusty...
Let's see:
Turkey
Mashed potatoes
Sweet potatoes
Green Bean Casserole
Gravy
Rolls
Relish Tray.....lots of black olives to stick on the tips of my fingers!
Jellied Cranberry
Pumpkin Pie
Apple Pie

What did I forget????

Diana...you asked a while back about Coconut Creme Pie...I love it! I actually love anything with coconut in it, except drinks. Go figure!

Now I made myself hungry....maybe I should go see if the cafeteria is open........

We've cruised with Beano and his family three times and the last two times Kamy and Tim as well. We'll miss them this year and next year since we are doing the repositioning cruise.

I'd be happy to send Doug pictures!
