Ok, here's one to start the day off right. This one is for all the married men.

Dear Tech Support:

Last year I upgraded from Girlfriend 7.0 to Wife 1.0. I soon noticed
that the new program began unexpected child processing that took up a lot of space and valuable resources. In addition, Wife 1.0 installed itself into all other programs and now monitors all other system activity. Applications such as Poker Night 10.3, Football 5.0, Hunting and Fishing 7.5, and Racing 3.6 no longer run, crashing the system whenever selected.

I can't seem to keep Wife 1.0 in the background while attempting to run my favorite applications. I'm thinking about going back to Girlfriend 7.0, but the uninstall doesn't work on Wife 1.0. Please help!

Dear Troubled User:

This is a very common problem that men complain about.

Many people upgrade from Girlfriend 7.0 to Wife 1.0, thinking that it is just a Utilities and Entertainment program. Wife 1.0 is an OPERATING SYSTEM and is designed by its Creator to run EVERYTHING!!! It is also impossible to delete Wife 1.0 and to return to Girlfriend 7.0. It is impossible to uninstall, or purge the program files from the system once installed.

You cannot go back to Girlfriend 7.0 because Wife 1.0 is designed to not allow this. Look in your Wife 1.0 manual under Warnings-Alimony-Child Support. I recommend that you keep Wife 1.0 and work on improving the situation. I suggest installing the background application "Yes Dear" to alleviate software augmentation.

The best course of action is to enter the command C:\APOLOGIZE because ultimately you will have to give the APOLOGIZE command before the system will return to normal anyway.

Wife 1.0 is a great program, but it tends to be very high maintenance. Wife 1.0 comes with several support programs, such as Clean and Sweep 3.0, Cook It 1.5 and Do Bills 4.2.

However, be very careful how you use these programs. Improper use will cause the system to launch the program Nag Nag 9.5. Once this happens, the only way to improve the performance of Wife 1.0 is to purchase additional software. I recommend Flowers 2.1 and Diamonds 5.0 !

WARNING!!! DO NOT, under any circumstances, install Secretary With Short Skirt 3.3. This application is not supported by Wife 1.0 and will cause irreversible damage to the operating system.

I honestly don't care who wins (I don't really follow any sports). I was just messing with you. I would rather that neither of them won really. There's 1 Yankees fan at work and the rest are Sox fans, so all the talk about baseball gets annoying (plus the whining about being tired from staying up to watche the game).

Trying to pack and do all my running around before leaving tomorrow. Just lost my ride to the airport so need to find another. Have to finish typing out the kids schedule for DH. Funny, he doesn't need to leave me any notes when he travels? Or make sure there are groceries in the house?

The People to People meeting was very interesting last night. If Brittany is selected she would go to Europe for 21 days this summer. They would visit: France, Switzerland, Austria, & Italy. I could not believe some of the places they will be going to, it was awesome! She can also receive high school and college credit for doing this. They will be taking 20 kids from our area and they have a leader for every 10 kids. I had to laugh when the lady said that none of the kids would venture off on their own and that a leader would always be with them. She said, "If one student needs to go to the store or to make a phone call, then all 10 stundents and the leader go to the store or make a phone call."

We submitted Brittany's application last night and she has an interview Nov. 7th so we will see what happens.

Cash, the Verandah Dog was turned down for a post-repositioning cruise room at the Candy Cane Inn, next door to Disneyland. "no animals, not even Service Dogs." and this is a Disney Good Neighbor Resort....

Wow LeiLani ~ that is Great!!! I wish you and your DD the best of Luck - you laugh though I know when my son was in Europe - they did go ALL together - One goes the bathroom - they all go! That they found to be a real pain - but the kids learn to choose what they really wanted to do. Also suggestion for phone calls if she gets picked - it is cheeper to get her a cell phone with international service than it is to have her make calls from pay phones or collect calls - plus if she needs a phone for what ever reason while she is there - like getting lost - it happens you have a piece of mind knowing she has communications - that is what we did - should she go and you want to PM me for some tips feel free - or we can chat on the cruise over a glass of wine!!!
