Kevin, thanks for the advice. Keith came up with pizza (predictable) and his second choice was chicken / mashed potatoes dish. I went for choice 2 and he started to whine about his pizza-less existance until I reminded him that it was his choice

Diana - have a great trip!
My suggestion for the 3pm meet is still on deck 10 - midship- on the side facing the port (which I believe is not the port side - go figure).
This works for a couple of reasons. It is above the goofy pool so those of you who have kids who want to swim can keep an eye on them. It isn't crowded up there at that time. Everyone will then know where the party is for sailaway.
Yes, anyone who wants to get together at sailaway can as well. That's the beautfy of meeting early. You've already met, have your buttons, and you're ready to party. We'll most likely do sailaway on deck 10 but more forward. The actual sailaway party is really, really loud.
We like to hang on deck 10 by the adult pool and wave at everyone at Grills and Jetty Park.

afff - great suggestion for the newsletter. If we can agree on times for get togethers I'll be happy to put them in the November newsletter. Yes that may be the last one. I'm thinking Thanksgiving to cruise time is going to be a little nuts getting everything ready.

Busy dat today, Lab work this morning my babies to spend time with, my new puppy I like BARNEY nice name. Close up pool, work on a closet nexted step is drywalling. AND then eat lunch.

Good Morning everyone. Happy Thursday.
I wanted to let you all know that I have some very disapointing news to tell you all. A few months ago I had posted that DH was starting a very large job and I was concerned that it would go right through the holidays. Well I was right. We had to cancel the cruise yesterday. DH can not be away from this job site. He owns the company but he also works on the job site and has to be there. He also works most Saturdays so this is way to long for him to be away. I am so sad not so much about the cruise BUT of all the WONDERFUL and SPECIAL people I have met over this past year and I will not get to met you all in person. I will look forward to hearing all about your trip. I will still come and post as I will miss you all to much. I know we will cruise again but I will not have the chance to meet you all. BOO HOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I spoke to Mary and she was a doll and took over the early dining seating.
I need someone to take over the Palo Brunch the last day of sea. All the work is done and Everything is in place. All someone has to do is be responsible for that day and give your cabin as the contact person. You also have to pay the bill and everyone reimburses you the $10.00 per couple. If someone is intrested please e amil me or pm me as I worked so hard on this I want you all to enjoy it and have fun. I would e mail you the list and the contact person in dining reservations for DCL.
GarRy, I pm you regarding the T-Shirts. I will send you a check with postage . Let me know how much I owe you and I need to give you my address. Just PM me and let me know.

We are going to look into a 4 night cruise on DCL in January. That way DD (school) and DH only have to take 4 days off. I would love to do 1/4 or 1/16. On 1/16 DD would only have to take 3 days from school as MLK holiday is that week. We shall see. I do not want to crush the children with this yet as I am hoping we can take them on the 4 night one. They would be so upset. I am sure it will all work out.
I have 4 adult and one child MVMCP tickets to sell for 12/17 if anyone is intrested???????? Just PM or E mail me if you are. I guess I can list them on the boards??!!
I have a early dential appointment today. I was not posting because I let a root canal go and had an infection brew from it in my lower jaw bone. I learned my lesson. I need to wake the children to get them ready for school. A close friend is taking them to school for me today.

Dee, sorry I haven't followed baseball since the days of the Big Red Machine (I know, I know, I'm dating myself!!). My mom had the biggest crush on Johnny Bench!
And if kids ever grown out of the food attitude stage, you couldn't prove it by my family. DD isn't too bad. She actually is willing to eat a few green things (asparagus, green beans, broccoli - if there's cheese sauce), and most meats. But DS can cop a serious attitude. We've fought this for years, and used to make him eat at least something out of our dinner choices. But now, he has the option to make something for himself, like cheese tacos or PBJ if he doesn't like the choices. In fact, this was just a major battle Sunday night!
I'll read the rest of last nights posts, then update you on our evening. Lisa

Gail, as I said in my pm, we are very sorry you won't be joining us for the cruise. I hope things go well on the job site, and you're able to enjoy a January family cruise!!

Wow, I got a top, and it looks like I'm talking to myself
More on the real estate front. Last night, our buyer started getting really anxious that we were "shopping" his offer (i.e. waiting for someone else to offer us more to get into a bidding war). So we went ahead and signed his contract, which gives us rent-back through the end of February with an option to rent back until the end of March. This means we don't have to move til after the cruise. And given the next info, we may only have to move twice.
Now as to where we are moving TO. There is an extremely nice planned community in our area named Wildewood. It has a nice shopping center with a grocery store, bookstore, couple of restaurants (including Outback), bank, Penneys, and my old Tae Kwon Do school. There are neighborhood recreation areas, a community pool, and clubhouses for most of the areas. There are some condos, some townhouses, a retirement center, and about 1200 single family houses up right now. It's the place that most people want to live in this area. Well, it turns out that there are two lots left in the last section which is being done by the original builder (He started this in 1974). So we went and looked yesterday afternoon, and I think that's where we're going to build. They are estimating late February for delivery, which would give us a month to spare in case anything got delayed. I really do think this is answered prayer, since this kind of thing just DOESN'T become available down here! We'll decide by Friday on that option!
Now the not so good news. When we got home, there was a phone call that FIL is back in the hospital. He's had 2 more episodes where the defibrillator had to fire. The doctors are going to try a different medicine to regulate his heart, and are probably going to change his pacemaker out (remember the battery is showing signs of wear) while he's in there. I was going to make their final payment Friday, but I'm going to wait until we get the cardiologists recommendation before doing this now. Prayers and pixie dust would be welcomed please!!!
