Multipass and Singlepass?

Do you buy multipass for every park day or do you select certain days, do you mix single and multi on the same days or rotate?

I’m trying to determine if/what days to buy multipass for and which days to buy single pass. I usually like to go to one park in the AM then hop to another for the night, and it usually works out pretty good, but I’m not sure how to decide which days to buy for.?

I can’t remember how I did it last time, but I think I just loaded up on LL on one day and nothing for another.

It truly depends on what you want to do in each park. If you want to go on a big ticket attraction like Tiana’s or TRON, get the Lightning Lane for those attractions. If you’re planning to take it easy on some lighter attractions that don’t have as long of a standby time, don’t get the Lightning Lane on those days and/or times.

We don't do LLMP at AK or Epcot but often at MK, and HS. We have enjoyed all the LLSP attractions that we don't buy them unless someone is joining us, and they we will get a LLSP depending on the of day, how long the Standby line (SBL). Note at night the SBL post very inflated wait times.

Test track 3.0 will be an anomaly on our next visit since we will use it a couple of times.

I travel with someone who doesn't want to stand in lines, so we purchase LLMPs for every park and LLSP for DAK (FoP) and DHS (RotR).

I think it just depends on your and your traveling party's desires.

ETA: And, to answer one of your questions, we book SPs and MPs for the same park on the same day. The booking system will, it seems, attempt to arrange the times in a logical manner--i.e., if you're booking these in advance.

We’re also in the group buying LLMP for MK and DHS and LLSP for favorites such as FoP. Depends on what we want to do and other plans that day.

That does make sense, I’ll probably buy MP for days that start in MK or DHS, and just single pass for others.

Buying MultiPass for days that end at MK or DHS can be an effective strategy as well.

You can save a little bit by purchasing for AK or Epcot. After using a pass or two in those parks you can then start booking for your afternoon park and get some headliners there.

A good idea may be to gather some info on the additional lightning lane release times and plan accordingly. I was skeptical at first but quickly found that it works really well.

True, my issue is that I’m not a morning person and will be already 3 hours behind in time zone so I’m afraid I’ll buy a pass and nothing will be available to book for later, once I get to the park. Probably be lucky to get to park by 11am. lol

I am good at winging it and making it work once I’m there and in the thick of it, I guess I’m just not sure how many days to buy a pass for.

Halloween I’m planning on doing AK all day (crowd calendar has it at a 2), so I’ll probably just get a single pass, but most of my other days I start in one park then switch to another, so just need to figure out a way to decide which way to go on which days.

I understand, we’re not morning people either but do like to stay out until the last park closes.

Dating back to FP+, we’ve always made our first reservation at 9:30 so that we didn’t have to arrive until 10:45. Now that the grace period has been extended to two hours we can move around even slower.

Even with that, we were able to get 8-10 good lightning lanes each day on a recent visit. We don’t buy the single passes and save that money for Dole Whips.
