Where has everyone been today? No one has kept me entertained between school subjects! :(

Busy night for us here. Sittin' down as a family and going to watch Survivor and then the presidentail debate. Good enough occasion to order a Cappy's pizza, right Virgil? :)

Hi everyone. i went onto DCL website but I can not get a quote for the 2006 dates that are for two days at cc. Does anyone know how to get the rates on line???

We just got back from picking up our new car. We traded in our Toyota Sienna for the new limited edition. I am loving it. Lots of new features and it is bigger inside than our model we traded in. It is great for the children. Off to go play with my new toy for a few hours. TTYL-Gail

Let's see, we'll probably leave at 5:00 am on Thursday morning, which means I'll have to order it and have it delivered Wednesday night. We'll put it in the car Thursday morning, and it won't get to the Magic until Saturday afternoon.

I'm no ER doc, but that sounds like a recipe for a problem! ;)

Next time we have ya up, we'll have to order it again!

WAAAAAAAA  I had a Toyota Sienna. After 9-11 I traded it in for a Chevy Venture--three reasons....#1, the Toyota was a lease and I was WAAAAY over on the miles. #2, Chevy had 0% interest. #3, at the time the Chevy had a DVD player whereas the Sienna only had VHS

About a week later I couldn't STAND my Chevy and I've been waiting years to trade it back in for a Toyota. I'll admit, I covet the Siennas that pass me on the highway (they all pass me because my car hardly goes) Mike just informed me the other day that he's been thinking, maybe we should trade the Chevy in a year early!!! That means only 1 more year instead of 2!!! YIPPIE!

Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's Sienna
Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's Sienna
Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's Sienna
Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's Sienna

Jenny, that was my DH. The one that cooks with many spices and much garlic. I guess he's feeling picked on, sorry!

I found out today that our school system is not going to set the calendar for next year (2005/06) until the end of THIS school year. Seems a little slow to me. Guess I'd better not get too excited about that May 2006 cruise.

I never thought I would say this, I LOVE MY TOYOTA SIENNA! I have always had 4X4's. In March of '04 I traded in my dream truck, 2001 Ford Excursion for an AWD Sienna. Seems my older dog had trouble getting in and out ( plus my Mom, although she may not admit it). Now, 6 months later, I have to say what a great, versatile, economical, easy to handle, etc....... The only thing is the 10 cyclinders really powered the a/c. You know or may have heard of the over 50 thing.

I loved my Toyota Sienna XLT. I would of traded in our lease for the same mini van but the XLE does not have the same package anymore. The Limited has what we wanted. It has the DVD and CD player, Navagation system and the camera on the navgation system that you can see behind you. You are only suppose to use that as a guide. I still turn my head around to see what is in back of me. It also has the backup sensors, the windows on the sliding doors now open up and have shades and the back seat windows open a little. The van is also wider and longer in length. It also has the deep trunk. The seats all slide around and one of the seats actually moves up to make a thrid seat in the second row. It has a lot more stuff and it rides so nice. It rides like a car. We got it in deep Grey and Gray interior. I love my heated seats. We had that in the old Senenna.
I wish the lease payments were less but it is an expensive mini van. I want to take it on a road trip. Mabye Halloween weekend we will. I said we would buy the Sienna we leased but than they came out with all these new features in the new model. Mabye we will buy this one. It is so nice the smell of a new car. That will not last to long. We both had Honda's before we got the mini van. We love Honda's also. Enough said on that.

Karen, I was ok today on the diet-should of been better. Another day tomorrow.

LA LA LA LA LA LA, I'm not listening. I can't hear you. LA LA LA I've got a piece of poo Chevy sitting in my driveway that has to do for another year. Thou shalt not covet thy DIS-friend's Sienna...LA LA LA

Oh I wanted a Toyota Sienna. What a nice van. Two of my cousins have one and they swear by them. Got a Volvo wagon instead. Nice car, but am always bumping my head when putting Kira in the car. :tilt:
Had our first fall day. Hooray!!! Nice and cool. Wish I had some of that Arizona rain Stacey, still nothing and going on 150 days or more.

I think we are going to rent a tux for DH. We have to talk to the tux shop and see if they have cruise specials. I know I read about a tux shop in FL., but I have to find out about local ones. He has hams for thighs.
cheers-D

Gail,
Thanks. I just priced out a new Sienna! I was looking through the standard features and came across this:

Overhead console with conversation mirror

What IS that? A conversation mirror. Does that mean it's quite a conversation piece? Or that it will talk to you (ala mirror, mirror, on the console) ???

:)

:flower1: Good Morning Cruisers! :flower1:

TGIF!

Not looking forward to today at all and I think I'm going to be at work this weekend - yuck. Oh well just a small bump on the road of life. :D

Need to read the boards and then off to work I go. My computer at work got hit with some major spybot action yesterday and was down for almost 3 hours while IT was trying to fix it. I didn't download anything but must have hit something without knowing it. Just another fun piece to the puzzle.

Have a great day everyone! Happy October 1st.

:bday: to Nathan - DH of Thesoldtrain (Jeanette)

I'll do my best to get the newsletter up this weekend but due to work can make no promises.

Denise - when you get your cruise documents there will be a brochure for a formalwear company. Click here to check out their site. You do all the measurements (or have them done at a local shop) and the tux is delivered to your room on the first day by your room steward and picked up on the last day. No hassel at all. For those who don't own a tux it is a great option and one we'll be using.

I have a quick question

I booked in July of '03 and since then we purchased DVC at SSR and we are staying there for 7 nights after the cruise, but, my question is this - are there any perks for DVC members aboard the cruise and if so - who do I contact to let them know that we will be cruising?

These boards are the Best!

:thewave: Happy Friday! Everyone!

Happy Friday Everyone!!

Thought I would stop in and say hello.

I am off on a field trip with DS 6th grade today. We are going to Waterford, which is a small historical town nearby. It is their big fair weekend. They have period crafts and battle re-enactments and such. Hopefully it will be interesting to 11 yr old boys!

Soccer team has a bake sale tomorrow, so I get to bake all afternoon/evening!

Its been a busy week and looks like the weekend will be just as busy. Hope everyone has a great day.

Good Friday Morning East Coast, West Coast, Mids, & Over the seas Cruisers!!!

Okay, it wasn't a good night but a good morning. Sorry Stacey.

Mary - sorry to hear it's going to be a rough day but I hope you have a great Friday. And don't worry about the newsletter, we'll read it when you have a chance to put it up.

:bday: - Nathan :cake:

Therese - Mary can correct me if I am wrong but there are no "perks" for DVC memebers on the cruise. They do have a DVC information meeting on one of the sea days and they like DVC members to attend. I think you have a chance to win some gifts during this meeting. I hate to say we have never been to one(always had other things going on), but I think we will try to catch one on this cruise.

Everyone have a great day!!!

Okay, for those of you with kids who have freedom to roam(especially teenagers) if we really want to do a "neighboorhood" watch list, I would be willing to handle the task. Even if we don't really want to enforce the list, it might come in handy. I was thinking of putting a small picture, name, parents name, and cabin number. What does everyone think?

Even if we just use it as a "threat" to the kids so they know someone might be watching, I think it is a good idea. Let me know.
