HEY - GOT A TOP!!!!!

I AM DONE WITH MEGA PROJECT #1!!!!!!!!!:bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :rockband:

(yeah, there's still a # 2 but not till Tuesday...)

Hi Everyone, I'm back and BOY do you people talk a lot! :teeth:
So while I'm still trying to catch up, let me ask you this: Are there any cruisers in San Francisco? I've been asked to cover a conference there last minute, and I'll be in the Bay Area from 10/8-13. I'll be working most of the 10/9-12, but if anyone is out there and wants to meet...let me know!

I caught a glimpse of someone asking about renting a tux (I'm still in catch-up mode) -- on our last DCL cruise we used the Cruiseline Formalwear Service (I'm sure someone already posted this link). It's great!! I HIGHLY recommend it. DH got the Black / White pkg and the shoes. He was all set for Formal / Semi-Formal night (we LOVE to dress up if there's an excuse!). The tuxes were brought to our stateroom and we left them there on de-embarkation day. No extra stuff to lug around, we overpack as it is!

OK, I'm going to CRASH!! I cut this newsletter to close too the deadline and I'm WIPED OUT. TTFN!

Dee,

I'll be in SF from the 14-20th... Guess I'll just miss ya....

Yea, great idea! I figure that feature would be more expensive, LOL. So, should we post this in the teen section?

Don't you all think that beeping ankle bands set with a GPS would be better? Tie that into a voice activated prompter that hollers "What ever you're doing, stop it!" at regular intervals would work for me.......

Hey Kevin, great idea!!! Where do I get one? :p

I have seen my DD, your DD, and Stacey's DD in action so I know we are going to have to do something to keep an eye:magnify: on those girls. (And any other teens or kids that join in.) Just kidding. They are great kids but they do have their moments.::yes::

Yea, that's what "worries" me.....

Hi,

Whats new everyone?

Final payment coming up. How is everyones life? I hate mississippi and dont like my high school, other then that everything is great. Oh yea and I can drive now!
Matt:(

Morning all. Yes I'm posting tonight but you east coasters are probably already in bed.

Thanks for the input re: the tux for DH. Last time he had a tux on was our wedding. 6th anniversary this Sunday. That went fast. We are taking a romantic getaway to the Chargers game and then out to dinner. The most expensive part of the day is the babysitter.

Piping in a few days late on the subject of cooking eggs with garlic...trycutting up last nights pizza( not the crust though) and adding it into your scrambled eggs. Ugly to look at but oh my how good it is. You have to add the pizza to the eggs while they are still runny. It gives the cheese time to melt. :cloud9:

Everyone have a great Saturday. Its off to the laundry room and yard work for me. OH JOY:sunny:

Cheers, -D

Kevin and Virgil, if you guys could INVENT that device, we could all quit working and cruise full time. Expecially the gender specific part.

Matt, nice to see you posting. Congrats on the driving. Check in on Teen thread for the cruise, link below. I think Gregg (horsedude) has been talking to himself over there.

I found this on other board, and thought it was pretty funny!

You might be a Floridian if?

You have more than 20 C and D batteries in your kitchen drawer.

The freezer in your garage is full of homemade ice.

You flinch when you are introduced to a person named Charley, Frances
or Ivan.

You find yourself dropping words like "millibar" and "convection"
into everyday conversation.

Your pantry contains more than 10 cans of Spaghetti Os.

Making coffee on your propane grill does not seem like an odd thing
to do.

You are thinking of repainting your house to match the plywood covering your windows.

When describing your house to a prospective buyer, you say it has three bedrooms, two baths and one safe place.

You are on a first-name basis with the cashier at Home Depot.

You are delighted to pay $2 for a gallon of unleaded.

The road leading to your house has been declared a No-Wake Zone.

You decide that your patio furniture looks better on the bottom of the pool.

You have the number for FEMA on your speed dialer.

You own more than three large coolers.

You can wish that other people get hit by a hurricane and not feel the least bit guilty about it.

Three months ago you couldn't hang a shower curtain; today you can assemble a portable generator by candlelight.

You catch a 5-pound catfish. In your driveway.

You can recite from memory whole portions of your homeowner's insurance policy.

At cocktail parties, women are attracted to the guy with the biggest chain saw.

You have had tuna fish more than 5 days in a row.

There is a roll of tar paper in your garage.

You can rattle off the names of three or more meteorologists who work at the Weather Channel.

Someone comes to your door to tell you they found your roof.

Ice is a valid topic of conversation.

You can put up the plywood around your house faster than a pit crew can change 4 tires during a Nascar race.

Relocating to North Dakota does not seem like such a crazy idea.

Good Morning everyone. Happy Saturday. It is early in the AM and I guess I had enough sleep to start my day. It is nice and quiet as everyone is sleeping.

Karen, That mirror you were talking about in the Toyota is located in the front below the sunroof so you can open it up and watch the kids in the back seats. Very cool. The mini van is awesome.
I had dinner late last night-I guss that means I went off the diet. Back on today.

DH has a ford F-250 but wants to trade it in or sell it. He wants a bigger one for work. It will have to wait as we just got a new car. We also have a Ford Explorer which I really do not like to much. DH uses it.

Charlotte, Welcome back. Glad to hear you are joining us. Sorry to hear about you rough few months. DD is going to a performing arts camp next summer in upstate NY. It is called French Woods. Is that where your child attended?? We went up to look at it the end of July and DD loved it. She is so excitied to go. She will be leaving for the third session 7/18. We know older children that attend the camp.

Matt, Welcome back as well.

Charotte, I sent you a PM.

Diana, Did you get my e mail?

Lisa, congrats on selling the house.

We have not heard from Stacey. I hope she is hitting the jackpot with her mom.

I am glad I do not have to worry about DD yet. I have a few years to go. I will take tips from you all.

Have a great day everyone. We have a busy weekend. I will try to be back later. Gail

You have no idea how true:

We can hardly get food out of the freezer because of all the ice.

My neighbor just had a whole house generator installed and everyone has been checking it out. He's the man.

I'm just taking my plywood down today and fixing screens.

But it's sunny and warm!

I can't tell you how happy I am for you all down there.

That was a funny thread. Your neighbor with the house generator is not the man... all of you folks who have lived through these storms and are still down there are the man!!

It's 4 am and DD has awakened me from sweet dreams to have a glass of water so of course now I can't go back to sleep. Early start on the day.WOO HOO:Pinkbounc :bounce:

Woo Hoo! Happy Saturday!

Virgil - have fun at the game - two tops in a row!

Matt - nice to see you posting again!

Love the "you could be a Floridian". Funny thing is some of those apply to us. :D

Never did make it to chat last night. I was at work until 8:30 and was just too tired when I got home. Going back in today as the person we let go was very far behind on her project and guess who gets to finish it.

Well a quick read of the boards and then off to work I go.

Have a great day everyone!

HAPPY SATURDAY MORNING!!!!!!!

HOW ABOUT MY MAN ICHIRO???!!!!!!!!!!! WOO-HOO!!!!!!!!!

I tell you, as painful as it was this season to be a Seattle Mariners fan (actually "pain" doesn't even begin to describe it...) Ichiro was the one light in this horrible season. It's always soooooo good to watch him play, and last night he made it all up to me --- can you say 259 hits ??? What a GUY!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah. I like baseball.

Hey Doc, you should change your travel dates!::yes:: ER physicians treat kids, don't they? I'll be at the AAP conference. :teeth:

Hey, if Stacey hits the jackpot in Vegas she could pay for all of us to cruise!

I am off for the day -- have a meeting this morning and Edgar Martinez Appreciation Day this PM (did I mention I like baseball?)

Have a great Saturday! Lisa, congrats on selling the house!
