wow. you guys are going to all be so dressed up! Maybe I need to go shopping. Blech. I hate shopping for myself! I, too, need to lose 10 pounds to adequately fit into all of my cruise clothes. (sigh)

Hi - I am Scuba Diver's wife. I have posted under his name a few times, but Jim finally was able to set me up on my own. Unlike Jim and Matt (DS 14 who goes by Scuba Matt) who are avid scuba divers, I don't dive, but I decided to use Scuba in my name so you could keep us all together. That will work unless DD (10) posts, she wants to use the name Little Gymnast. Once you meet her you will easily see why that is a good name for her. She is small, muscular and NEVER stops moving.

Now for the "rest of they story" on the Jim's cooking and the roses. Although there are not roses and breakfast in bed each week, I am lucky that Jim loves to cook. He makes omlettes each morning for me and cooks a great dinner most evening. Matt is learning to cook, so now I will have two excellent chef's in the family. The best "investment" I ever made was to agree to let Jim take cooking classes at a local restaurant with some friends of ours. We do eat well now!

Back to work.

Hi Sharon! I like your new name. I think I'm more "DancerMom" since Kevin takes care of the diving stuff, and dancing is pretty much my domain. Except for all the work he just did around the studio, and the car wash this Saturday. I delegated car washes to him, see how that works? Yes, I think the cooking classes might have many more dividends than all the diving classes. Why didn't I think of that? Actually, DD wants to learn to cook. Since she is at dance most nights, I'm not sure how that's going to work.

All_Ears, what a great story! How old is your son now?

I'm not trying on clothes yet. This allows me to remain in denial.

and in college in Long Beach CA - we are east coasters, so that is so far away............... but he is at Disneyland most every weekend! He is Stitch Pin Trader!

As for clothes I'm trying not to pack as much as I normally would. So for formal and semi-formal night I'm wearing the same long black skirt and have different tops. I'll also be bringing a couple of pairs of pants with some mix and match tops as well. I did buy a sweater/skirt set to wear on Christmas Eve. Mark and I have matching tropical wear to be worn on tropical/pirate night. It is from the Disney store so I'm sure we'll see ourselves coming and going that night

Just got back from serving chicken strips to the children at DD elementary school. We are getting some rain but it is on and off and not to bad this afternoon.

I can't even think about packing or a list this far ahead. I would do the list and forget about it. I am the type of packer who packs it all the week we are going away without a list until I start packing.I should be more organized.

Just heard that CA got hit by an earthquake - hope all our CA cruisers are safe!

Hi all - we felt the earthquake here in Northern California, but it was apparently a 5.8 quake centered more in the central valley. Not sure we have any cruisers from that area - roughly Paso Robles area, I think was where the epi-center was.

Very mild here, just a bit of rolling around. A couple of us in the office just thought we were dizzy !

What college in Long Beach. My son went to Long Beach State and now works with the mens volleyball team.

Hi everyone.

No work for me today - starting to get a nasty upper respiratory crud. Kids enjoyed yesterday when I couldn't talk, it's a little better today. Spent most of the day dozing when I should have been on the boards trying to catch up with all that I missed in the last day and a half.

Linda - I think you were the one that was looking for the Disney outlet stores - there are two of them at the Belz mall One is the Character Warehouse and Character premier. The other mall Preimer Outlet center, newer and closer to Disney, behind the Royale Carib and Buena Vista Suites off 535 . PM gaRry or I if you would like better directions.

Good Tuesday Afternoon Everyone!

Kara & Ken - glad to her you are all right. We went through an earthquake when we lived in CA and boy those things are scary. For years after we moved(out of state) every time the house popped I thought we were having an earthquake.

Ken - thanks for the tip website, it was great.

I live in Ventura and work in Camarillo so I am about 150 miles south of the quake.

It wasn't very exciting (glad for that). Just a slow rolling motion. The building shakes more when a big truck drives by.

I usually take a long (formal) gown for formal night and a shorter one for semi-formal. DH wears his tux on formal and a suit on semi-formal. I guess I will have to take at least 2 maybe 3 long gowns for this cruise.

We always pack too much stuff also, even though the last time we said we weren't going to do that. Last time we decided to have things sent out for cleaning while on board so that helped some and we are planning on doing this again. It doesn't cost too much and I would rather do that then have to mess with the laundry rooms.

Thanks Vicki for the info on the stores. I'll probably hit them all. I need a Disney fix and can't find anywhere here to do it.

I am going to Boise this weekend to help my parents move, so I'll drop by the Disney Store there. Maybe they will have some great sales!!! One can only hope!
