Hope that everyone is having a Wonderful Tuesday... beautiful day here in WV..... of course I spent the day in an airplane flying back and forth to Hilton Head.... Didn't even get to go to the beach - just the airport. Had to go for the deposition of a physician....Such fun.....:earseek:

OM - glad to hear KT and Nick did well!

Be back later!

OM - how long is the run of KT's play. I saw on another thread that you might not be going on the Oct '05 cruise if she gets it. Also you mentioned her Disney resume. Is that her dream - to go work at Disney?

Hi there!
Just ran in, and am running back out. I was alone at the shop all day....one of my favorite things to do..NOT. I need to learn how to weld. Guys come in and want something done, and I can't do it. I hate that.
Anyway...picking up Jared, coming back to get Jordan and take her to dance, getting dinner, then finally back home by 7:00.
Brought home a briefcase full of papers to go over with Jay.
I'll be glad when he's done with his jury duty....two more weeks.

TTYL,
Stacey:sunny:

Mary thanks for the link for Eli's. I've been thinking we might like to do that. Sounds like a great fun time.

Okay, work to do!

Where is Stacey today..........................working.....................nah...................more likely shopping!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

And where are you fluff queen? How is that foot coming along?

Linda

:yo-yo: Wow, I miss a weekend of reading posts and I just now catch back up! Anyway, thought I would add to the postings on our itinerary and excursion list:

We fly out of CA on 12/11, leaving MIL in charge of the dog and two cats for our trip. Flying her out from VT was cheaper than the pet care and she had the vacation time. SCORE! We land in Ft Meyers, visit my grandmother til 12/13.

On 12/13, we check into Boardwalk villas, courtesy of rented points from a dear friend...Thanks Lisa! We stay in a studio through 12/17.

On 12/17, we check out of BWV and check into the Renaissance at the airport. We plan to have either Happy Limo or FL Tours pick us up to take us to the port on 12/18!

For excursions, DH and I are taking this trip pretty laid back. We've been to all of the ports already except St. Lucia and Antigua. And DH has decided that we are not lugging our dive gear for this trip because of all the stops we're making before we arrive at the ship. Oh well, saving the diving for the Repo cruise in May.

Key West - booking wave runner tour on own (Was it Scubadvr that posted the company they've used before?)

St. Maarten- Nothing booked, not yet sure what we'll do, maybe rent a car and drive to Marigot for some shopping and to visit the French Fort, which DH drooled over on the last visit but didn't have time to explore.

St. Lucia- Waterfall Island Bike Tour

Antigua - Kayak & Snorkel Eco Adventure

St. Thomas - Nothing booked. We wanted to do the St. John Eco hike, but I thought $59/person :earseek: was too steep for a hiking trip with no food. Still deciding here...Suggestions? We're not beach or sailing types, and we don't really care much for snorkeling, so that doesn't leave us with much.

Castaway Cay - renting floats and vegging on Serenity bay. We may try to book cabana massages, we'll see.

Oh, and we've booked the REAS package...very excited about that one! :lovestruc

Mary, I will send you a PM with our cabin number. We're okay with you posting it in the newsletter.

Cheers!
Kara

Okay, now I know I'm just hogging here. Sorry, one quick question for everyone...our cabin is right next to the elevator banks at the front of the ship (deck 7). Anyone had problems with noise or anything else?

Thanks, Kara

Kara, we've stayed right next to the elevator banks on 6 and didn't have any problem.

Linda

Okay, everyone is making me nervous because I am sooooooo far behind with all the talk about being paid in order to get excursions and all that stuff......................

OKAY, I ADMIT IT, I AM AN IDIOT!!!!!

So..................I'm thinking, hm should I pay off the cruise just in case I need to in order to book excursion for Robert, Jamie and me? I call DCL and while I am on hold with Heather at the excursion desk, my brain finally clicks in...................I paid for my cruise in full on January 20, 2004, when I switched to DVC points! (Well, I paid points for me and DH and had to pay DD's in full at time of booking-I hate doing that). I can't even remember when and what I do anymore.

So...........Heather came back and said okay what do you want to book and starts with Key West. I said, well I haven't discussed anything with my family, but I am worried about Carribean Pirate Extravaganza in St. Lucia right now, so give me 3 tickets for the 9 a.m. She says NO PROBLEM pirate: We are now official pirates and joining the group. Hope that is what the DH and DD want to do. (Well, all I have to tell DD is they filmed Pirates of the Carribean and she will be the first to walk the plank!)

Add us to the pirates list!!!!! (And Heather is even faxing me a confirmation!)

If you learned how to weld, you'd be spending a LOT more time at the shop I'm sure....

Linda - aren't you also doing Sea Trekkin with us in St. Thomas. I thought it was you, but that was so many pages ago!

Good evening all.

Stacey, I really don't know what else to tell those people about that camera. I'll just leave it be, I've given them all the warning I could about how much a steaming pile of ____ that camera is. I took a total of 12 pictures and threw it away. That's how bad it is. You'd take a better picture with one of those 1960's fold down cameras where you have to pull the picture out and let it dry for 5 minutes. I could go on for days about all the horrible things, but a picture is worth a thousand words.

These are at 640x480, untouched in any way from when they were removed from the camera.

Pic 1, the best one it took:

Pic2, Oops, I jiggled my hand a teeny bit when I took it. Was VERY typical of the rest, no my minivan was not underwater either:

A very old adage still applies. If a deal sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

Kevin, thanks for the recommendation. Being a maintainance engineer, I know way too much about the care of o-rings and other kinds of seals.

Yes, signed us up for the Sea Trekking also, 100's of pages ago!
Need to check to make sure that's what the DH and DD still want to do. I'm all for it!!!!

Actually, she didn't get the part yet because she's a girl. They'll only use her if they have to double cast the part (if the boy can't make the performances) I'm not holding out hope on that one.

Nick's play runs about 4 weeks (Thanksgiving weekend till Dec 22nd)

I'm thinking ahead to next year b/c they will have Eloise and Matilda next year and I definitely want our schedule to be free enough that there is no hinderances to KT getting those parts. :)

Yes, her dream is to #1, go to Ohio State and be a cheerleader, #2, work in the kids club on the cruise line, and then #3 to be in a Disney show. Those just aren't "either/or" dreams, she wants to do ALL of them, in that order. Simple Nick wants to drive a Jungle Cruise boat. :)

But WHICH ship???? Kids keep grilling me...."is it the Dauntless?" me: "I don't know." Them: "is it the Interceptor?" me: "I don't know." Them: "is it the BLACK PEARL?????" me: "I don't know, we'll find out when we get there!"

Then they're grilling me b/c I don't know if you'll have to sit in an assigned seat during the whole cruise or if you'll be able to walk around like Jack Sparrow!

From looking at the few pictures Mary and I have found of the one used on the excursion, it's the one Jack Sparrow points to when he's rounded up a crew and goes "That one" to the black woman who lost her ship the last time. No idea what name it has in the movie, but don't think it was the Dauntless or Interceptor, but not entirely sure.

And from what I've read, the ship doesn't sail so much as run under motor power. Don't think they'll confine us to seats the whole way.

Ok.......first of all thanks to all those how advised me to go ahead and book as one can cancel up to 2 days prior.
You DIS people are awesome.

Count our family in to be pirates as well in St. Lucia. ( 09:00 )

I was anticipating having to pay our balance before booking the excursion as many of you mentioned.

I did not have to pay anything......We are prebooked with confirmation coming in the mail.
The fee for this excursion will be added to our account and the tickets will be in our room when we board.

Sounds easy enough for me.

Thanks again everyone.

Kevin..........regarding diving at St. Lucia

Just booked the family on the 9am "pirate boat' cruise.

I really wanted to dive in St. Lucia .....I suppose I can not do both.

Or can I?

Any suggestions? I wonder if I can meet your group for your 2nd dive.

Probably not........

Mary, which CP show on the 28th? We booked the 5 pm show, and we'll eat after at GG. Decided to go the cheapest route, I'm sure we'll blow our budget on the cruise.

We're doing the 6:15 show. We wanted to eat at Coral Reef and since they close earlier than the others couldn't get the early show which was our first choice. So we'll have an early dinner, then CP, then Illuminations and back to Beach Club for the night!
