Let's just say, hypothetically, of course, that, after inhaling drywall dust for an hour, I am toying with the idea of only doing one coat and accepting all imperfections.

From a contractor's opinion, is that just crazy talk? MUST I go and do another coat?

If you like and accept it then it's FINE. If your paying for it, then is not. It is, of course, up to you and what your seeing. Some imperfections can give it an "old world" look, and with the right finish can be very attractive.

One thing you can try is to go ahead and paint the wall. Then, if you don't like it you can always add some more mud to cover the parts you need to. You will of course have to paint again, but it's worth a shot.

The good news abou that, is that you will all have met already, had a chance at a normal conversation......before the mad woman comes bouncing up!


Jordan made the competition dance troupe. Now we add one more night of dance to the schedule. That officially takes up six nights a week with something or another. Glad I only had the two younger kids. What do people do who have 3, 4, or more???

I'm going to order some things from Oriental Trading.
One of the items are holiday sticky-note pads that are magnetic. I thought I'd put one outside on the door to our stateroom, in case someone wants to leave a message, and one in the room, so my family can leave eachother messages. Thing is, they come in a package of 12. Do I have any takers for the extras?

You'll only need to tattoo the ship.....you can use the moles for islands!!
