Hi all. I'm still here. I've been lurking about. Not much to say. We've been going over the excursions and have it narrowed down to about half the ones that are offered . I've been reading the threads on the main board with all the people complaining about the way DCL handled the hurricanes. I got sick of it so I told on poster as much. I may not have many friends here anymore (not that I really did anyways). I'm I still allowed here? Do you still like me (if you did in the first place)? I just get so frustrated when people whine about things that can't be controlled (ie the weather). Back to work.

I did the double digit dance along with you guys yesterday, but I was too lazy to post

Hi Jenny,

Yes - we still like you.... I've stopped reading some of those threads - people need to get a grip. When you read about how some of the other cruise lines - and resorts treated their customers it really puts things into perspective as to how Disney is doing a great job under terrible circumstances. No - not everybody is happy - but - you can't please everyone....

Just keep posting here - and you'll be fine...

Jenny - I know what you mean. Some people are just beating a dead horse. We've been through it before when DCL cancelled the one cruise due to Norwalk. As I posted on one of the other threads - the good news about these boards is that we get lots of information. The bad news is that we get lots of information. People start comparing and God forbid if one cast member did someone nice above and beyond for one family because then everyone else is jumping up and down wanting the exact same thing.

So stay here and play with us. We're having a great time and looking forward to our 10 days of Holiday Magic!

Actually Virgil, I wasn't reading one of *those* threads. I was reading one about what one piece of advice did you wish you had (or something like that) and she had to make a comment about the poor way DCL handled the hurricanes. I'm fine with the whining if they keep it off the helpful threads. Oh well. Like you said, you can't please everyone.

All this talk about storms has DH talking about tracking storms for our cruise. He's all set to change our flights if we need to in order to make the ship. We know all about being delayed by storms on our way to Disney - we were delayed by Nor'easters on our way down to Florida AND on our way back. 8 1/2 hour delay on the way down and 24 hours on the way back. We're prepared to do what we have to in order to make this cruise.

Yeah Jenny!!! Good to see you hanging in there still! I agree on the posts, I get so frustrated. Ever heard the song "The Name Game", well most of the time I really think it's called "The Blame Game."

Good thing we are all just on the double digit dance and looking forward to our cruise.



I'll go anywhere the ship will take me and I'll make sure to bring something in case the seas are rough!!

Okay, a little more work to do before another busy weekend!

Jenny - you and I were talking about the same person and I just ended up leaving a note in the same thread. Great minds think alike! I agree - venting is fine and I think if any one of us were in the same situation we might have some gripes. I also think however that we wouldn't beat it to death.

I was a little unhappy with some things that happened at DVC Member Homecoming. I mentioned it on a couple of posts (all related to MH) and then wrote a letter to DVC. I got a response thanking me for my input. I wasn't looking for anything and didn't get anything - just looking to give my input. They do listen.

Ooooh, Jenny and Mary are tough. Taking on the Queen Bee. Don't blame you one bit. I don't know what happened with her cruise, but she sounds bitter.

I got to reshuffle a reservation today due to Ivan. I had my last rented stay at BCV coming up on Sunday. The guy called today and said they had decided not to go (don't blame them one little bit). By some stroke of luck, I was able to get them a room the following week at OKW! Whew!!! My cruise fund is intact, and this family should have much nicer weather for their trip. I think DVC and CRO have really been flexible during this hurricane season, and everyone I have spoken to during all this has been so nice. If you all remember, I was doing some shuffling during Charley too.

Welcome to the new posters and former lurkers! Please tell us something about yourself, who you're travelling with etc. Even if you've told us before, like on page 300 or something, please tell us again. We all have short term memory loss around here. Actually, us regulars should do the same. Since we are SO CLOSE to our cruise, we might have even more newbies checking in. OK, Stacey, you go.

Hi Guys!
Finally got home and have a few minutes. Not that I can think...Jordan has a friend, and all 3 are watching some loud show with bands.
I hired the guy I went in to interview. Hope it works, it seems like he has a brain.

I've caused enough trouble on the boards. Not going back for a while. I must admit, I was bugged by the thead that MoranClan started titled: First Ever DCL 10 Day Cruise. Took it a little personally.

I got an e-mail today from the lady who owns the boat in St Lucia that we've booked. Here's what she said:

Hi Stacey
Have just returned from a short break in St Lucia.
Thought you would be interested to know that the local St Lucians are already talking about the Disney Cruise - it is a big deal for a tiny island such as St Lucia to have a new cruise ship visit them & they are really excited by the prospect of the Disney Magic trip.
I spoke to one guy who will be providing boat shuttles from the cruise ship & he told me he was required to attend a special training session ahead of the visit - hope he hasn't forgotten it all by December!!!!!

At least we know that we are welcome there, and they are excited! I e-mailed Jo back to ask if the island has suffered any hurricane damage, but I haven't heard back yet.

Things seem to be falling into place now! My calender for this month has a reminder to make breakfast ressies at the GF on sailing day!

Please promise us that you will take very good care of yourself and heal up fast!! We want you in one piece for the cruise!
I heard a rumor that you were going to teach Paul & Virgil to Hula on Tropical night!!


We have ball games to go to tonight, so I have to leave in just a bit. I have some mail to answer and hope to at least get back over here to say goodbye......

I'm always causing trouble! I'm surprised that I'm even welcome here still. I read those posts too but decided that it wasn't worth my time to respond to their childishness.

I think it would be a whole lot more fun to "surprise" the newcomers. (Read as: We don't want to scare them off)
