OM - You are complaining about a little rain from Frances? For three days straight whenever the dog went outside we had to hold her down so she would not blow away when she had to pee.

Another reson to stay out of the water!

OK, ewww! And I thought fish poo stories were bad!

Jim, I know it's not really funny for your dog, but that was funny.

Yeah, sorry. Good point. This rain is nothing compared to that.

Diana - If you don't laugh about it, you just go crazy. T

here are people at my office who still are without power. They are being told it may be until Tuesday before they get power back. Being 93 degrees in this humid weather is not pretty. In fact, for alot of people, it just stinks.

That reminds me of a story a friend told me when he was in Cozumel diving.

In the middle of his dive amongst many tropical fish he had to go. I mean he really had to go ( bad food or too much tecquilla or something )
You know what happens to most people in Mexico when their stomach rumble.

He dropped his drawers.......he said he caused and was part of a feeding frenzy with hundreds of fish surrounding him.

Now thats gross.
Ahh yes, the Warhammer maneuver!

The story about DD and I scuba diving in Cozumel: We were cruising along looking at the reef and having a generally great time, and up ahead a fairly large fish swam across our path and really let it go. Look like a poop explosion. Anyway, I hear Alicia, underwater, through her regulator saying: Yeeuuuuuuuuuuuuuu!!! I start laughing so hard I flooded my mask. Classic response from a teen.

this thread as hit a new level :earseek: Always room for "potty humor"

Ok, thank you very much. I got a bit too curious with that Google search and ended up seeing the jpg! I'm on my way to bed now, but I'm afraid my sleep will be fitful. :earseek: :crazy2: :scared:

S O R R Y !!

I think I will pass on Googling that one. Whatever it is, please don't do it in front of my daughter. She might pass out, and I hear that's not healthy when you are scuba diving.

Oh, now she's "your daughter". I'll remember that next time you want me to make her do something........::yes::

I cannot believe you guys!! A girl goes to work for a couple days and you all take off like a bat...... I had 15 pages to read

I can also relate to the room redecorating and the kids. Is there anything that will get them to move?? Vanessa does if it has 4 wheels and a key. We went car shopping yesterday, and her room now looks better than it has in weeks.

Welcome to the new cruisers!!

Have a great Thursday!!

:flower1: Good Morning Cruisers! :flower1:

Happy Thursday Everyone!

Remember at 5 pm Eastern today we'll be doing the double digit dance from sailaway (sure it will be 99 days and 23 hours - but our countdowns will be in double digits) :D

Ok we know this group has a lot of hot air (with me being one of the windiest). I think we need to concentrate on facing in the direction of IVAN and blowing hard! Thankfully he missed St. Lucia but he's gaining steam and could hit Florida again. We can't let that happen. So blow team!

Well off to read the boards and then to work.

PS to Stacey - got your e-mail. Will write back soon.

My DS would love the way this thead is going. He's at that age where bathroom humor is the main source of entertainment!

Tina, I was thinking this morning that we have a couple of days off coming up before Thanksgiving. We're off for Columbus Day and Veteran's Day. Any possibility of a meet then? Dobelover, I never got the scoop on where in MD you are. Any chance of hooking up with Tina (tinkfan) and I if we do meet? She's near Dulles airport. Feel free to pm or email me.

We had a join girl scout night last night, and miracle of miracles, there are some girls interested in joining at the cadet (7-9th grade) level. When I came in, the organizer said "oh, we never get anyone here for cadets." I said that I'd be happy to help out wherever they needed, since our service unit manager was travelling. One girl came in specifically for cadets (military transfer) so I signed her up for my group. Another girl was sisters with a daisy, but that other leader said "oh, I'll place her in my area since I have girls at her school." This despite the fact that I now only have 3 girls, but whatever. Then another family came in to sign up a brownie (1st grade). I was chatting with them about the other programs we have, and her two older sisters (8th and 9th grade) are seriously considering it. Plus DD says 3 girls from school want to come to our troop, so I may actually have a reasonable sized group! I just think it wouldn't be much fun with only 2 or 3 girls. It would be more like friends hanging out than scouts.

Hope you all have a good Thursday. Lisa

Y E S Y E S Y E S

Hello everyone.

I have been keeping up with the reading of the posts but have not had a chance to actually say hello to you all.

It has been such a crazy week at school for DD. DD started school the 2nd year in a row with no teacher assignment. They were suppose to split the classes 3 days ago as our numbers for 2nd grade hit 76 but there is a residency issue with one of the children so the children have been shuffled between the 3 assigned teaches for 2nd grade. Each day the children go to a different second grade teacher and different children as well in the classroom. There has been no structure and no homework for 3 days!!!! A lot of children are very upset about this as their parents. I hope this is resolved today as there is a PTA meeting tonight I just can imange what is going to go on tonight.
DD is having a very tuff time with this as they were also making them shuffle their supplies with them as they moved around. I understand that will be taken care of today and their supplies will finally be left in one place. It has been very stressful for all to say the least in our house the past few days. No sleep for me!!!

I got a laugh out of all the pee pee stories.

Lisa, that would be wonderful to get more girl involved. We just set up our brownies meetings, field trips, and activities for the children this year. We have 14 2nd grade girls.

Karen, I am glad to hear your Aunt and Uncle are on their way to recovery. So sorry to hear what they went through.
How is Maggie today??? I remenber those puppy days so clearly now. Harmony will be 9 on Thanksgiving. We have a yellow lab and we love her so much but she was a lot of work as a puppy. I love having her around at night when DH goes out for estimates. I hope she lives a very long life. I can not imange life without Harmony.

Mary, We will not be coming to Hershey. DH job will be starting a new job next week. The permits just came through so he will be starting the extension and dormer. DH is also physically working on the job as well as the GC. We also have the Jewish Holidays next week. Sorry.
I just want this to be finished up by the time we cruise.!!!!!

Lots of rain the past two days on Long Island. This Sunday will be my last day for the season to work at the pool and tennis club. Until next year.

GaRry, I need to e mail you that we want t-shirts. IO wil check them out on newsletter website.

Gald to hear CC did not get hit to hard and St. Lucia. I hope Ivan blows out to sea and stays there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Off to go grocery shopping. Have a wonderful day everyone. Gail

Ivan is not going away, it looks like. He's been upgraded to a Cat 5, and they are now projecting that he will hit Key West, then go right up the center of FL, exiting somewhere around Daytona Beach. Of course, a lot can change in the next few days. Fingers are crossed for all of you in FL, hope you left your shutters up!

So is this because of Global Warming, or was FL just due for a season like this?
