Hey, he'll have his dive gear with him. I wonder if we might be able to come up with some ideas to keep him out of your hair for a few days?

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: ROFLMBO.......I burst out laughing so hard, it had people running from their bedrooms to see what was so funny....they didn't get it. I do. You mean like Pamela Anderson, maybe??? Sorry, you'll have to "settle" for Pamcrsb.

Ahh, yes....but you're not just most people........

I would have been on here earlier...but I got caught up in watching an old western with DH that neither of us had ever seen before (unbelieveable!)
I'd have to go back and look up the name, but it had Kirk Douglas, Richard Widmark, Robert Mitchum, and a very young Sally Field. They were in a wagon train trying to make it to Oregon.

Anyway.....OhMinnie, maybe try the harness...it doesn't yank on their necks, which I suspect is rather uncomfortable for them.
When we remodeled Jordan's bedroom, there had been a built in bookcase...it was nice, but it took up way too much space. I tore it all down, only to discover that there was no drywall back there...just the plaster board or whatever it's called..(Tinksdad? What's it called?) anyway....I decided I could do the texturing and patching. HA! That's one job I will never do again. You can mark that one off right along with electrical. But I'm not telling the electrical story....almost blinded myself with a small little blow-up....not proud of that moment.

In honor of those of you who are going to Hershey Park, I am eating Hershey's Kisses.
Now, this is a really dumb thing to do. We found out that we may still stand a chance at getting to do a vow renewal on the cruise. My loving hubby has said that he will definitely marry me again. As long as we both lose weight first. Crud......100 days...almost ready to do the double digit dance....why was I wasting so much time? WHY????
Do you think I could get away with telling people that it's a shotgun wedding, and at the age of 46, I'm with child? Darn. I didn't think so.

Do you think I can fill an entire page with posts?
I wouldn't do that to you all. Not tonight, anyway.
Busy day at work tomorrow.....somehow, it's the end of the month again. I still don't get how that happens.

So I am heading for bed.

WONDERFUL WEDNESDAY MORNING TO ALL OF THE EAST COAST CRUISERS & ALL OF THE REST OF US, TOO!!!

Good night!

Stacey

:flower1: Good Morning Cruisers! :flower1:

Happy Wednesday! Happy September 1st! I need to get working on the newsletter - I'm late this month!

Another great day of posting - good job everyone.

I like hearing about screen names so keep it up!

Well off to read the boards and then to work.

Have a great day everyone!

Karen, I think I can do you one better on the ridiculous dog training looks. When we first got our lab (back in the winter of 89-90 :earseek: wow that's a long time ago!), we lived on a little 3 acre farm pond. There were 7 houses grouped around it. We actually put on waders and went out into the water to train the dog how to retrieve! I think it was probably early April, so it was pretty darned cold! And I was out there up to my waist in freezing cold water calling "here Cody, here Cody!" That dog wasn't stupid. He knew that since I was out there, I could just bring back that retreiving dummy myself! I know our neighbors were ready to call out the men in the little wagons! He did learn to retrieve quite well though. I can remember duck hunting on Christmas Eve the year I was pregnant with DD. He'd come out of the water and instantly little icicles would form off his fur! Doggone I miss that dog!

GreGg, good to hear from you. There's no doubt you're GaRry's son though! It will be good to meet you in December.

Everyone's on the mend and back at school here. I got a return note from DD's music teacher saying that if her concert is on Dec 15th she would give DD an alternate assignment. She think's 7th grade will perform on the 8th though, so that is one thing that should work out!

Well, off to do work! Have a great Wednesday everyone!

Isn't remodeling work fun? I tell you, there is never a dull moment in this field. To answer your question (as if you really "care"), the underlying board is sheetrock. Tape, bed and then texture to finish the process known as drywall.

The hardest part of patching drywall is the matching of the texture, that and clean up all the flour like dust from the sanding....

way to go Stacey!

tinksdad, I didn't realize you were in remodeling. Can I pick your brain for a minute? If you saw about a week ago, I tried to prime, but the paint wouldn't stick. I ended up scraping most of it off with a putty knife, but there are areas where there are bits of paint stuck to the wall here and there and here and there. I'm wondering if I just prime over that (with a good primer--Kilz 2) if that will smooth out those irregularities, or will I need to sand? Or mud and sand?

I really, really want to hear you tell me that it will be a smooth wall if I just prime over it, but I don't want to try that and have it look like H&#*. :)

It's a GREAT way to take off weight! It's too bad what happens when you quit doing it, though.
