Stacey - congratulations - you got post 8500!

:bday: Happy Birthday Casey! :bday:

Thanks guys! I'll be sure to pass it on to him.

I've spent a couple of frustrating hours trying to get my flights set up. I should have been warned when Mary told me that she was having troubles. American has no Freq Flier availability on the 28th or 29th. Not from Orlando, Melbourne, or Jacksonville. I'm re-grouping and going to try again. I checked United and US Air since we have some miles on them as well (not as many as AA, but enough for some ticket). Really not a lot better there, but the people were nicer. AA had a very inconvenient possibility, and when I asked the lady if I booked them and had to change the flights, would there be any penalty, she actually said "you just need to call me when you decide your plans." ARRRRRGH did that make me mad. I knew my plans, they just couldn't accomodate them. I hadn't gotten snippy at all up to that point, even when she said "most of these reservations were made last December", but boy did that make me mad!

okay, deep cleansing breath! Stace, glad you've found something for the formal nights. I'm sure it will be just fine! Comfortable is what counts! But I know you'll be shining anyway. Just can't keep Stace's light under a basket.

Off to check the boards, then back to the flight battle!

When you see the family arrive with 10 bags, that look like they are moving in, that will be us.

Well, when you see our family arrive with 20+++++++ bags, that have moved in, that will be Sea-U-Laters group!!!!!!!!

Now that ought to be a sight to see!

Linda. that's right.....I forgot that you guys have us ALL beat!
I know what that sight looks like...we had 26 for the wedding...two van loads.....I felt so bad for the poor drivers. It was probably the biggest tip I've ever given anyone!

Good Wednesday Afteroon & Evening Everyone!

It's been a busy day here today. It was the first day back to school. Yipppppeeee!!!!!! One is at dance now and the other is at diving practice so I have a few moments to spare. The one nice thing is that Britt can drive herself to school and to practice so that is one less trip I have to make.

Mary - change in cabin number for us again. Another Cat 3 opened up so we moved out of 8602 into 8522. Now, at least the girls won't have to share the fold out couch for 10 days.

For those of you on the waitlist for a suite I just got off the phone with my contact at inventory control and it sounded like she had not made any calls yet to people for cabin 8602. It sounded like she was going to start that tomorrow, so we will be keeping our fingers crossed that someone on the board gets it. I really hope so anyways, because now we do not have the big verandah to host a wine party. Has anyone thought about seeing if we can reserve a room on deck 2? I think that is where the conference rooms are. If we don't have a cabin big enough maybe we could hold a wine party in one of the conference rooms.

I also called Debbie at DCL dinning to see if any of the formal & semi-formal nights had been determined yet and she said not yet. She told me to call back around the beginning of Oct. She did tell me they had some new shows(?) they were adding so they wanted to make sure things fell on the right nights. I am not sure what this meant but she did say something about Pirates of the Caribbean night, which other people have been discussing on the boards. I guess it is taking over for Mexicali & Tropicali nights. So, we may be in for some new themes.

Diana - did we ever get late dinning figured out and have we sent a list to DCL? If not let me know and I can talk to Debbie again to see what we need to do. I would also like to wait and see what nights everything will be on before we pick a dinning rotation if possible. If you need me to call her let me know.

I got to quit writing books and write short posts so I can get my numbers up.

LeiLani

Yes, Leilani, short posts! I did call in the second seating group a while back. They took all the names and will seat us all near each other, but we didn't specify who sits where. Also did not get into rotation request, and I didn't get to ask for "lively servers". Any pull you have in that area would be great!

Okay, I will see what I can do on both fronts. I will call Debbie again tomorrow.

I will also try shorter posts.

LeiLani

Another one???

Okay, I was just funnin' with you.

I will try not to write anymore books, but as Stacey and Diana can confrim, when you get me talking I am a lot like Stacey and it's hard to stop.

Gonna go read the boards and then I have to get the girls into bed so everyone have a great night.

LeiLani

Now I really am like Stacey - talking to myself here.

Hellllllllooooooooo!!!!!!

LeiLani

LeiLani - I'm here but the boards have been painfully slow for me this evening.

I don't know where Stacey's at. It's a little early for her to be watching the Olympic divers and their "technically" small trunks!:earseek:

Paul

Hi Paul,

It's good to see someone else hanging around. I know the boards are so slow, I think I am about ready to give up tonight.

She better not be watching the divers in their "technically" small trunks, because it's the women diving tonight. It's the women who make me go YUCK, YUCK, YUCK. Not at them, but at myself. I used to be a diver but I would probably break the board if I stepped on it now. Oh well, makes me determined to get up and get on the treadmill in the morning so I guess I will keep watching. I can remember the days of Greg Louganis(sp?) so it is kind of depressing watching the Americans dive so poorly.

Okay, I was not going to write anymore books. I told you if you get me going, it's like a runaway frieght train.

Talk to everyone tomorrow.

LeiLani

Sorry we left you, Leilani. Watching a movie. Got tired of the Olympics every night. Though I'm going to see what they're doing now.

So, courageously lively servers it is.

Okay, I can't make any promises, but I will see what I can do.

Now I really need to think about getting to bed. Have a good night.

for those of you staying at WDW the night before the cruise, the AP rates are out for that time period.

I called and was able to save $101 on our two rooms at the Polynesian! I was on hold for nearly an hour, but the savings was worth it!

Yayyyy
I contacted my TA yesterday and she got a $100+ reduction in the Poly room on 12/17!!

I'm finally here, far too late I guess.

What a day. In and out, in and out.
Still not packed, but I do have my clothes laid out. I had to try everything on. It was humiliating.

Nope, no divers. Our friends' power has been out for two days, it finally came back on just as they were about to move in with us....which would be okay, they're staying here to watch the kids this weekend anyway...so we went to eat while they waited for their house to cool off.

Speaking of the "old days" and the Olympics....when I was in Junior High, or maybe high school, the ONLY poster I ever had on my bedroom wall was of Mark Spitz. In a Speedo. No wonder I'm obsessed. I wish they would have televised the water polo at a decent time. I used to play water polo on both an (except for me)
all guys team, and an All-Star female team. Undefeated....
I'd like for Jay and the kids to see it played. It's a tougher game than it sounds. I loved it...there were all kinds of tricks, like growing your toenails really long so that you could scratch someone underwater w/o the ref seeing it. Yes...I guess I was a tomboy.
Two years ago, when I finally started getting my nails done, DH asked what was up with that...I told him I finally decided to be a girl. It's hard when you own a welding shop & work with guys.
Geez...where did all that come from. Just proving LeiLani right, I guess.

And it's true....the swimsuits HAVE to be small. Not a very smart move on the part of the advertising sponsors, though.

I wish I could get a discount on our room at the GF. Oh well, I guess you only live once!

Back in a few.
