Tinksdad............thanks for the SCUBA update and all the hard work on all your efforts.

It is much appreciated.

What are your choices for dives sites at all the ports of call?
scubadiver and I are getting together to go over the particulars of the different operations. I get back to you tomorrow with the details.

He and his DS are planning to dive all the ports (I believe, but could be wrong), I will not be diving St. Maartens, got that promised to the DW. However the remaining three (better dives anyway) DD and I will be getting VERY wet!!

Maybe it's the girl's picking their shorts out of their butts all the time. How incredibly uncomfortable that would be! Did anyone else notice Brazil was spelled Brasil. And ohiomickey noticed the Brazil team had to label their tops (guessing so they knew what part it was) They had BRA across the top! ;)

OK, here is the scoop. Us guys don't mess around making decisions!!

St. Maarten- Spend time with the family, scubadiver will be making the same commitment.

St. Lucia - Dive Fair Helen Mention the DIS Divers for booking with the group.

Antigua - Big John's Dive Antigua Mention the DIS Divers for booking with the group.

St. Thomas - Blue Island Divers Mention the DIS Divers for booking with the group.

So, who else is interested????:sunny:

Thanks Tinksdad...........I'm IN

Do you already know what specific dive sites ( wrecks and/or reefs ) you are interested in at each port?

If you could let me know the dive site names or locations, it would help me decide which island to dive on, as I will only be making one dive while on the cruise.

Thanks again.

Why is it that I didn't worry about the male swimmer's suits falling off, but I think the volleyball gals need bigger bottoms?
It wasn't fun watching them grab thru the whole game.....and think of the sand.....
I've seen Brazil spelled both ways...but I didn't realize that they needed labeling on the tops! (That was a good catch, OhMinnie!)

Watching men divers right now. I guess their suits are pretty little, too. But they need to be to make a cleaner cut when entering the water. It's purely technical. ::yes::

Great story from that diver, Tinksdad! Very funny.

Well......I guess it's that time.

GOOD WEDNESDAY MORNING TO ALL OF THE EAST COAST CRUISERS...AND THE REST OF US TOO!!

Have a great day!

Hi Kids

Things is normal......whatever that is...I'm hooked on Olympics ...wish they'd show the Dressage competition and other horsey stuff...

I signed Cash up for a 1-week training session aboard the ms Oosterdam in November. My first voyage on HAL...I've been haunting the cruisecritic.com site looking for info...Now my feet are hugely swollen again...poor me...

Oh, Stace, that verandah picture you commented on (the verandah that was photographed from the secret deck 7 lounging area) is Cash's BAV that we had in May....Lots of room but just a plastic garden chair to sit in (snugly)...Not very private, what with people peering down from deck 7 and from around the barriers at each end of the balcony......

Finally got to the deposition part of a lawsuit that's been hanging out there for the last few years...

Just as I've arranged for all parties to congregate and do a perk. test on my little subdivision, it starts raining...
Must be a sign...
Well, off to bed I go.....
Night all...., er, Morning, all....

:flower1: Good Morning Cruisers! :flower1:

Happy Wednesday everyone!

gaRry - on the shirt - I think we agreed on this design for the front:

lime.jpg

With the green embroidery on the blue shirt.

Hope that is all you need. We should start taking orders soon don't you think? I think we talked about September and that is almost here!

Morning all. Lynda, good to hear from you. Hope things work out on the deposition. And you can see quite a bit of dressage on Bravo (if you get that channel). I turned it on last week when I was home with the flu, and they were doing something that just looked like walking around the ring. But yesterday evening, it was more what I think of as classic dressage.

Yes I too am an Olympics junkie. I probably only watch 1 hour of tv a week normally, but since the Olympics have been on, it's more like 1 1/2 hours a day. This is cutting into my book time!

I think these shirts are going to look truly awesome! GaRry, are you sure you don't want us to pay you up front? That's a lot of money? In fact, even if you say you don't want it, I think I'm going to mail you a check anyway! So there! Of course, maybe there's a hidden motive.... The money for the shirts is paying off his shipboard account? Hmmm, got to pay for that Boone's Farm somehow!

Today is DS's 11th birthday. We're going to our Japanese steakhouse, and taking the babysitter to thank her for a great summer with the kids. A friend of mine from Tae Kwon Do stopped by yesterday (I also worked with her, Southern Maryland is a really small community). Her DH finally came back off deployment about a year ago, and they transferred to Monteray CA. She's expecting their first child, so it was really nice to catch up with her. But talking about her pregnancy just brought home to me how long it's been since my babies were born! I have to admit that I like the independence that they have at this age though.

Happy Hump Day everyone! Lisa

Check out the individual web sites of the recommended dive ops, most of them will show the sites available and we can talk about which we would like to go.
With changing conditions like currents, wind, etc: the pick of the group may or maynot be the best location. That usually gets left up to the capt. the day of the dive.

It's all good! We're going diving in the Caribbean:sunny: :sunny:

Same here! Usually I'd sit and veg all evening and watch them, but pup has cut into that. I've missed a lot b/c I've been taking her out, trying to run her ragged or redirecting her chewing. Since I wouldn't trust her in the family room (carpet) I've spent most of my life in the kitchen barracaded in with multiple baby gates.

for those of you staying at WDW the night before the cruise, the AP rates are out for that time period.

I called and was able to save $101 on our two rooms at the Polynesian! I was on hold for nearly an hour, but the savings was worth it!

Great news Karen! More money for cruising!

We're renting points for Boardwalk Villas. The 17th, we're going to priceline. I think I'm going for the WDW area instead of the airport, since we're going to be in the parks all day the 17th. DH is kind of anti WDW, so I don't think I'll ever be an AP holder. Of course, he's only been there when it's either been very crowded, or the weather hasn't cooperated, so that's part of his feelings.

I've got to make the flight bookings. It's on my to-do list today. So maybe I should stop DISing, and start calling American!

:earseek: YIKES! How rude......peering around the barriers even?
What's up with that??

Pixie Dust for the swollen feet....and the deposition and the perk test.

I've heard good things about HAL.....Cash will be one cruisin' dog!!

Good Morning!
I stayed up too late last night, and now I'm off to a very slow start.
I should be doing laundry and packing for this weekend....instead I have been revising the cruise list.
Actually, not revising....adding to. When you see the family arrive with 10 bags, that look like they are moving in, that will be us.

We went to a deli in town for dinner last night..."The Bad Donkey" .....very good food, stupid name. Anyway, while we were eating we were watching the Olympics...they were showing the Greco-Roman Wrestling. Yuck! Not something you want to watch while you are eating.

Coming to terms with the fact that I will probably not lose any weight before the cruise. Every time Mary mentions how many weeks we have left, it gets closer & closer...why do you suppose that is??
Anyway...I am excited about that skirt & top I got. Really cute. The skirt is full, like a ball gown, only more casual. It will definitely make my be-hind look big....but at least I can spare DH the question "Does this skirt make my b*#@ look big?"...because I already know the answer!! HA...I don't care...I like it!

Re-thinking Nelson's Dockyard for Antigua.....I see that DCL has a dolphin/stingray encounter. Took a vote a dinner.....the kids want to do the encounter, I'm on the fence, DH wants Nelson's.
If we do the encounter early enough, we may still be able to take a taxi to Nelson's......

Guess I'd better start the laundry & get packing. Was informed that I have to work tomorrow, which is when I was going to pack.
Oh well....it pays the bills.

Have a good day!
