Hey Diana & Stacey you need to delete some of the messages in your pm box I tried to send you both messages but your boxes were full. :sad2:

Well, isn't this a fine day....I zip off to the store to get a contribution to the neighborhood group lunch and return with 30 minutes to spare followed by a police escort....
Don't let anyone tell you that I lead a dull life!
More later.....(page count, you know)....

Off to lunch...

Not nice Lynda! You left me hanging!:moped:

Where is everybody?? We need to get posting if we're going to meet our quota for the day.:chat:

cute lil' poem about New England (I'm sure others can relate as well).

It's winter in New England
And the gentle breezes blow,
70 miles per hour at 52 below!
Oh, how I love New England
When the snow's up to your butt.
You take a breath of winter air
And your nose, it freezes shut.
Yes, the weather here is wonderful,
So I guess I'll hang around.
But I could never leave New England
'Cause I'm frozen to the ground!!!
::yes::

How about a survey?

Do you have a favorite food? If you do, what is it?

:scratchin :mickeybar

I don't think I really have a favorite food. Is that sad?:( I don't think I could really even narrow it down to a type of food. I used to say pasta or pizza, but I don't think that's the case anymore. The only thing that I can say I absolutely LOVE is my Mom's "homemade tomato soup".

Side note, don't ya just love quoting yourself? :teeth:

:bored: :rolleyes1

It's a lot of fun talking to yourself (I should know I do it all the time - just ask the people I work with).:chat:

On the cruise, my favorite food is whatever cheesecake they have. Since I've been dieting, the only thing I've really given up is desserts. I still have ice cream occasionally (LOVE the no sugar added choices we have now!), but not a real dessert. On that ship, I plan to enjoy desserts every meal!

Our first cruise, I usually ate about half of anything that I ordered, but I always finished the dessert!

In the interest of keeping up the post count, I'll do separate ones for each family member!

Dh's favorite next.

He's not a big dessert fan, but he did love the hazlenut souffle they serve in Triton/Lumiere's. And he really liked some of the steak dishes.

But his all time favorite food is his mom's homemade vegetable soup. We haven't had that in a while. Now that the weather's getting colder, I'll have to make a batch.

On to DD. She absolutely loves marashino cherries. The servers figure that out pretty quickly and usually bring her a dish of them!

She's developing cosmopolitan tastes. She really likes sushi. Her vavorite restaurant here is a local Mexican one, so I guess that's her favorite food in general.

And finally DS, my extremely picky one. His favorite food is taco bell soft tacos, no meat, no lettuce, and melt the cheese. Yes, I have given that order more than a few times in my life! He'll let me make them at home by melting in the microwave, but they're not quite as good as taco bell (according to him).

On the ship, he usually ends up living on the bread basket (that boy will eat almost any hot bread) and cheese pizza from deck 9. He doesn't like the cheese pizza on the kids menu, only the stuff on deck 9 (it really is different). He'll also eat plain noodles/spaghetti with parmesan cheese.

And he's recently developed a liking for cheesecake, so he'll be joining me for the cheesecake of the day!

He's 11+ years old, and he's not quite 70 pounds, so we definitely worry about him!

Don't want you all to feel lonely!!!

I don't even know where to start on favorite foods --- my first favorite is food I don't have to cook!!! I mostly love it all where my family is very picky --- meat and potatoes --- boring!! So I take any chance I get to eat out so I can get some "good" food. And, of course, I love anything chocolate!!!!! Loved the cheesecake Olive Garden used to have -- cheesecake with a nice thick topping of Ghidelli (sp?) chocolate on top -- best of both worlds!!

Now I want some chocolate!!!:bounce: :bounce:

Well I can't let DM have the pc until I hear the rest of Lynda's story.
I guess I will do separate posts also;)

Food:bounce: I have cut back since aging is getting the better of me. pizza is probably #1. Almost anything with cheese: but all the time I spend at Curves has lessened my desire.

I have to look busy so I can stay on the pc. I feel like a guilty child:rolleyes: so I will just post to myself:bored:

It's more fun when you quote yourself. It makes it REALLY look like you're talking to yourself. :smooth: :chat:
