That's why I was asking you about it. I'm curious by nature, and I tend to ask a lot of questions (sometimes I get a little too personal). I know you're passionate about it, and you know a lot about it, so I want to learn.

I'll even share my shoe size......

Is that the one that's a turqoisey color with a "tropical" theme?

Bingo!
Lots of blue "water" and sailboats...Red house on top. I thought the house was out of proportion to the size of the cake but that's what happens when you park a house on a cake.....

Sure looked tasty, too. I'm worried about the buttercream ones a little. I really think they'll melt in the tropical heat...

Go for the chocolate ones....

Hey Lynda, Nice to see you back.

DD2 is sick today so we are on the couch watching Alladin. Have been loving the rain and thinking of the cruise.

Sorry to see so many holes in the list. We payed off our total about a month ago. Hope it helps us get an upgrade.:)

I've read in a couple of different places about ID for the kids. Birth certs enough? Or is it best to get passports?

Birth cert worked for us on our first cruise. We then went ahead and got a California ID for DD for the second and third cruise (still needed birth cert though). We finally just got passports for all of us so we don't have to worry about it.

Hi all-

I haven't posted in quite a while...work's been crazy, and life at home crazier. At least home life has been fun crazy, but crazy none the less. DH is in CO this week on business, leaving me to take care of the house, the dog (who MUST walk 2 miles a day to be tollerable), and two cats who truly believe they should get ALL of the attention  . DH travels a lot for work, so I'm used to pulling a week alone, but it still stinks to have my best friend gone!

Anywhoooo...Lynda, great to see you here posting again!

Tdk Lisa, I sent you a PM. Sorry your in-laws won't be joining us, but glad you're able to make it.

Mary, thanks for posting the list of buttons, mini-navs, and tag players...I'm really looking forward to that stuff!

Need to get back to work now.

Cheers, Kara

Thanks Ken. How was your ride? Have you done it yet?

Does anyone have an image of the cruise ship symbol...wavy flag with mickey?
I need one that I can use.

Any news on how the organization of the late dinner is proceeding? I exercised my REAS option for the benefit of Cash's tender psyche and requested 2nd seating to avoid the crush of tots taking the elevators to early dinner. In May I nearly bit one child for ignoring the repeated warnings of his mom, his sis, his father his aunt and yours truly NOT TO PET the DOG.....
So here I am, second seating and only a dog for a date...
If I promise not to talk about, well, you know what, can I join a table? Will someone adopt me and my sidekick?

The ride was great - thanks for asking. 486 miles. No flats and no rain - so it was just about perfect. We raised about $650,000 for the Arthritis Foundation.

My bike and I are still enjoying some time apart.

I don't back down. I'm no longer that sweet little innocent, trusting that I used to be.....Four years of using a Service Dog ...And it's LEGAL!

Lynda......I rarely back down either, especially if I think I am right.

My DW calls me a "polite A**hole"

Gus

For interests of preserving my tenuous hold on what friendships I can claim on this cruise I'll not repeat here what my perceptive ex husband said about one facet of my personality....does not rhyme with itch, thank you.....in some circles might be interpreted as a propensity for seeking out the most undesirable situations possible and taking them apart...messily, if possible....
I applaud you for your spine.

Lynda-you make me laugh. thanks for adding humor to my budgeting nightmare that I am trying to finish.

I am glad we are on your "good" list and not the "evil" one. Don't forget.......my strapping son-in-law is carrying on Cash's dog food. My DH even told our investment banker last night....yeah my wife is friends with all these people she hasn't even met....we are taking dog food on the ship for Cash the Wonder Dog!!!!

He loves me giving him updates every night, even though he won't admit it!

Linda

Good Evening Fellow Cruisers...

Been checking in through out the day (when the kids will give a few minutes peace) and as usual, Jenny...killing me again.

Lynda...so sorry to hear that you have to go through this BS. What is wrong with people today. BTW, I sent you a pm about second seating. We would love to have you & Cash.

I have volunteered to do the second batch of late seatings so if anyone else is interested injoing the gang, please contact me.

Looks like it is going to be another late night for us Sox Fans!!!! Let's see if we have better luck than last year.

Paul, as far as the delete button...refer to your "Wife 1.0 Manual" - Warnings, Alimony, Child Support than add 10-20 years for bad behaviour.

Oh, and DCL must be working through dinner stuff. When we booked last Dec. we were all on the main seating for dinner (13 of us) and then when I converted our stateroom to DVC points at the 11 month window, we had to take the late for the 3 of us and they waitlisted us for the main. We could keep the same stateroom, but couldn't keep our dinner ressie.

Anyway, called DVC just a minute ago to ask a question about the member cruise that we are 95% sure that we are booking, and I had Kimberly call over to DCL and see if our wait list had come through yet. FINALLY........................we are now reconnected with the kids/grandkids and we get to eat early together.

So, that brings up the question, has the main seating been turned in to DCL yet? If not, we could join the masses and sit in the same area as the rest of you guys. Let me know. I can't remember who was doing the main seating. I think maybe Gail and now maybe Leilani?

Okay, back to those budgets......

Linda

Would love to join the group for dinner but I think it best to NOT subject you all to the wee ones. They don't do too well at social seatings. UGH. Late diners be warned.

Well Diana........put it this way, I can not type in my pirate name here at all what so ever.

To me it was quite funny....but for some it would have been inappropriate.

Don't get me wrong, I have heard it all and then some at the fire house.

Gus
Is that the one that ends in "bucket"?

yewwww!

Gee, I said "It's just a joke" in the headline...

How's this instead.

First Grade.....true story

One day the first grade teacher was reading the story of the Three Little Pigs to her class. She came to the part of the story where the first pig was trying to accumulate the building materials for his home.
She read, "...And so the pig went up to the man with the wheelbarrow full of straw and said, "Pardon me sir, but may I have some of that straw to build my house?'"
The teacher paused then asked the class, "And what do you think that man said?"
One little boy raised his hand and said, "I think he said 'Holy $hit! A talking pig!'"
The teacher was unable to teach for the next 10 minutes.

Ok I missed one of the pirate links. Where be the link that gives the unmentionable names?pirate:

Emergency broadcast system just posted flash flood warnings. Guess were past the little rain point.:sunny:
