Ken thanks for the # to book the excursions - but to book first we must make a decision which is something no one around here has been able to do. I know DS & DH will be doing some diving, DD & I will be doing some shopping but other than that it's anyone's guess.
I guess I have to head back to the newsletters and reread the island options. I have printed out the disney lists for each port.

Well, I (Scuba Divers DW) was able to book our excursions today, however the one in Antiqua Lisa and I were going to go on (Kayak & Snorkel Adventure) was already fully booked. We are currently booked as follows:

Key West - On our own - Jet Skiing

St. Martin - Lagoon Kayaking Tour (Jim is considering doing an independant tour, but this is our back up)

St. Lucia - Jim & Matt Scuba Diving. Sharon & Lisa Horseback Riding.

Antigua - Jim & Matt Scuba Diving. Sharon & Lisa Antigua Seafari

St. Thomas - Jim & Matt Scuba Diving (Do you see a pattern here). Sharon & Lisa Water Island Bike & Beach Adventure.

Castaway Cay - Banana Boat (11:30)

Based upon LeiLani's post, I wouldn't assume that things are already booked up. You may want to call back tomorrow. I know I will be on the phone tomorrow morning just to make sure everything is OK.

I'm on the run this morning, will be back in a bit...but I find all of this just beyond my comprehension.....

It irritates the daylights out of me that DCL doesn't have all their people on the same page!

I called them just now anyway...used the same number that I used yesterday, same as Ken.

Got them booked with no problem at all. How strange the gal told me yesterday that we had to wait until Oct 19...sorry if I misled everyone! Was just repeating what I'd been told. SORRY!

We have:

Antigua: Dolphin & Stingray Adventure (we plan on returning from that and going to Nelson's Dockyard on our own)

St. Thomas: Capt Nautica's St John Snorkel

Castaway Cay: Last Banana Boat ride of the day....they stay out longer!

I also made our PS for breakfast Sat the 18th at 1900 Park Fare today.

I called, but with limited success. The CM told me the Oct. 19th date, but she was nice and willing to try. Some of the excursions say "prebook" in their computer, and they seem to be able to book those. Only one of my choices was a "prebook", the rest I will have to call back for.

I want to book the Sunset cruise on the schooner at Key West, for all three of us. The time says 3 hours, starting at 4:15. I know sunset will be earlier when we are there, so I'm thinking maybe we can get back in time for late dinner. Well, I'm hoping anyway.

Off to do some fun stuff....going to play with my underwater camera, see how the strobe works and all that......

DS is waiting for me to get off of here so he can play his new SIMS game. I have both of the kids doing chores right now. DH will be rather pleased when he gets home!

Stopped by my office and picked up the fax. I'll be calling in the morning to confirm. St. Maarten and Antiqua look fine with the right tours and times. St. Lucia is just showing the port - nothing else. I think that might be because they don't have it programmed in right. After all we are the first cruise going to St. Lucia.

Karen- great job on the walls. Take a well deserved break.

gaRry - you can take MDVASQUEZ off the list. He just posted on a thread on the main board that he cancelled our cruise back in May and booked a 7 day for Halloween.

New Excursion Info!!!

Okay, I think DCL is all screwed up with the excursions.

After reading Stacey's post I decided to call DCL again. I spoke to Eric this time and after having to make the arguement that we can now make reservations at 90 days he spoke to a supervisor who said, "Yes you can make reservations at 90 days, but you must be paid in full." No problem, I will pay in full today so I can make the reservations.

When I tried to make the reservations he told me the Pinel Island Snorkel Tour was booked and the Pirate Cruise in St Lucia was booked for the 9am time. I was like wait a minute. How can these things be booked already when I called this morning and was told they were not taking any more reservations today and to call back tomorrow. At this time I asked to speak to a supervisor.

After talking to a supervisor I have the following reservations booked but I am still calling back tomorrow at 9am EST when the excursion person comes in to check the reservations because I don't have a that "warm fuzzy feeling" about our excursions.

St. Maarten - nothing yet, because I was told the Pinel Island Snorkel Tour was sold out.

St Lucia - Caribbean Pirate Extravaganza for me and girls 9am and golf for Rich

Antigua - "Excellence" Power Cat Cruise & Snorkel

St Thomas - Meagan's Beach Day for girls and I and golf for Rich

Castaway Cay - Jet ski tour at 11:15 for Rich, Brittany and I

Sorry if the earlier information was incorrect, but like Stacey I was just posting what I was told. If you want excursions you might want to call and at least check.

Stacey - is your underwater digital? If so which one do you have? We're looking at spending our Hershey hotel money on an underwater digital.

LeiLani - that's what I was told when I tried to book the 9am Pirate excursion - that it was all sold out. That's why I pushed a little and we supposedly got it too. That's the one that isn't showing up on the confirmation.

I'm really thankful that we have this great group on the DIS. Can you imagine not having all this help with info and most likely waiting until the 60 day mark and finding everything gone.
