OhioMinnie, Your friend is in our prayers.

We also had very sad news on Thursday night. A very close friends dad and a friend of my FIL passed away on Friday. He is a retired physican in Boynton Beach, Florida. He was playing tennis on Friday when someone called for help that they were having chest pains. He assisted and called ems. A few minutes later the same ems team was working on him. He had a massive heart attack at 72 and passed away. He was a great man and a wonderful physician. He will be missed by all that knew him. They were a very close family. The funeral was this morning. Our hearts are filled and feel so sorry for the family.

We are having problems with our computer. We have a friend who is going to come over on Tuesday and hopefully fix the problem. I hope I can get back on line. If not I will speak to you all in a few days.

Diana, I e mailed you a few days ago. My computer said that it went through??? I will try again.

Have a great night everyone. Gail

Welcome back to Virgil, Barb, Vicki and GaRry. Sounds like you guys had a fun time. Ah yes, ketchup at Wispering Canyon - been there done that! :D

If anyone has pictures they want to share with the group let me know and I'll put them in the photo gallery.

We spent a good part of the day putting together plans for our road trip next month. I'm really looking forward to getting back to WDW!

Well I'm going to call it a night soon.

Night everyone!

Well I'm off to bed. My flight leaves to Las vegas at 6am so I will be getting up at 3am.
I'll talk to everyone whem I get back from WDW.

Paul

Hi all! Welcome home vacationers!

Had a super busy weekend - sorry I missed Friday night chat.

Ohiominnie - So sorry to hear about your friend.

Welcome Stingfancb! Glad to hear you're joining the Christmas cruise group!

Vicki - Yikes! I didn't know you had dibs on 6,000 - it's yours. I'll grab 7,000. Wouldn't want to be a dastardly pirate:

Paul & Stace - Have fun in Vegas! Take pics!

Stace - Drats! I forgot you were leaving - missed your email. Was just too pooped last night after Opening Day baseball games to sign on the computer - officially old. DS was so happy at his birthday party today - 16 kids (most age 5).......need I say more? :faint:

Lynda - A ceiling-dwelling scorpion? You have got to be kidding! Auuugh!! :scared1:

Whispering Canyon - We're definitely going to try it pre-cruise. I've read great things about it! Did anyone ask for soda refills besides catsup? ;)

LeiLani - Welcome home! How wonderful was it?!

Well, night everyone - this exhausted East Coaster is hittin' the hay!

Ohiominnie, and Gail, so sorry to hear about your friends. I will remember both families in my prayers.

Well, it was a long night, didn't get a lot of sleep, so I'm off to bed soon. One good thing, the Sheraton has some terriffic beds! They are Starwood, so I guess they must be the same Heavenly beds they are getting at the Swan/Dolphin. Wish the DVC would get these!

Good morning everyone! Happy Monday!

Wow this is a busy group. Some people just getting home while others are starting their trips. Safe travels to all.

Off to read the rest of the boards and then off to work.

Happy Monday to all.

Stingfan, welcome, welcome. It was great chatting with you Friday. Not my business, but just so I don't embarrass myself, are you the husband (DH) of the couple, or the wife (DW)? That way I don't stick my foot in my mouth too badly!

Minnie, and Gail, I'm sending out prayers of support for the families of your friends. You might remember that an old friend of my DH died very suddenly last fall at 41. It just seems so shocking when it happens suddenly like that. It seems to take an extra long time to find closure.

Charlotte, hope you're enjoying the weather. With all the baseball, I imagine you all were out for most of the weekend. It was great down here. The kids went swimming in the river (of course, they got in really bad trouble when I caught them jumping and diving off the nearby dock! No more river for them for a month!). I had told them they could wade in off the rocks, but they just had to go that step further! Happily, my DD was actually doing exactly what I had said they could do (Man was I shocked!), and DS was just jumping in. Their friends were actually diving. I ratted them out to their parents (the little girl had the nerve to tell me "My parents say it's okay". I told her, that I couldn't tell her she had to leave, but I was going to tell her parents what she was doing, and her mom was LIVID!) At low tide, that dock is in about 2 feet of water! Luckily it was high tide (about 4 feet deep then) but still way too shallow for diving!
Oh, the joys of parenting!

Welcome back to all our returning travellers! When's LeiLani due back? I'm wanting details on that Cat 1!!!

Good Monday Morning Everyone! I can't believe the number of pages I have to catch up on.

We are back from our wonderful cruise.:( Glad to be home but wished we were still on the ship. It was hard to walk through the airport on Saturday morning and watch all the DCL CM collecting up people going on the next cruise.

We really had a great time and loved the Cat 1 so much we put our name on the wait list for summer 2006 & 2007. We are already on the list for 2005. There was a great group of DISers that we seem to meet up with a lot and it was great getting to know them all.

I will be posting more trip reports in the next couple of days so when I have them up let me know. The Cat 1 was awesome!!! I can't remember if I said anything on this thread about it so here goes. (sorry if it is a repeat) For a cabin on a cruise ship the suite is huge. When you walk in you actually walk down a hallway into the living room. In the short hallway is a half bath(toilet & sink) and small room which is suppose to be a wet bar area I think. It has a sink, cooler box, and cabinets. Also in this hallway is an entrance to the master bedroom. The living room area has a couch, 2 chairs, a TV, DVD player, stereo, and of course the piano. This area also had a cooler box and sink area with cabinets. I hate to say it, but I think this area is almost as big as some of the smaller cabins. To the right is the dinning room area which has a table and about 8 chairs. This is also the entrance to the second bedroom. There are 2 twin beds in this room and two more murphy beds can be brought down from the wall. This bedroom has a nice walk in closet and a bathroom with a jetted tub. There are also built in cabinets, a big desk/dresser area and a TV in this room. To the left of the living room area is the area called the library which has beautiful built ins, 2 chairs, and a TV. At night the full size murphy bed is brought down from the wall and this is where our DD(Alyssa) slept. The master bedroom has a queen bed, 2 night stands, a dressing area with a place to put on make-up, a TV and two closets.(not walk-in though) The bathroom has a seperate shower, jetted tub, 2 sinks, lots of storage, and a TV. The only difference we noticed in concierge was the drinks everyday. They would come in every afternoon and give us soda and water. We did not get this in the Cat 3 last year. We had a great concierge team and really had no complaints all week.

Like I said, I will try to post my trip reports over the next couple of days, but here are a few highlights(teasers). Excursions we did were great, DH had to help medical fix a broken arm(I think we deserve a free cruise for that, don't you  ), and on the last evening at dinner DD (Brittany 14) forgot to wear a significant piece of clothing.:earseek:

I will try to catch up on all the posts today and answer any questions if I can. Everyone have a great day.

LeiLani

Leilani, I visited the Roy Disney suite on our first cruise. I can absolutely confirm that the living room in those suites was the same size as our entire Cat 10 cabin. DD was most impressed with the full-sized TV (most of the cabins only have a little TV (I think it's 12", but don't quote me on that.)

Welcome back, and can't wait to hear the full story on DD.

BTW how many people did you have? I think that cabin sleeps 8 or 9 doesn't it?

Happy Monday Morning everyone.

LeiLani, Welcome Back. We missed you. Your trip sounded wonderful. The suite sounds so beautiful and huge. I can not believe there is a wait list for a few years away. I hope we get to take a peak at it mabye after the cruise when they are cleaning the cabins. I would love to read your trip report when you post it. I would appreciate it if you could let me know where it is posted. Thanks.

Beautiful day in NY. It is suppose to reach 80. Tomorrow is suppose to be nice also.

Diana, I replyed to your e mail. I hope you received it as we are still having trouble with our computer. I hope it gets fixed today. If not tomorrow. We need a second computer in this house.

Construction is coming along. The next rainy day DH and his crew will be working here. I think we are expecting rain or Wednesday or Thursday. The stove and dishwasher are now working as of today. Yeah!!!!!! The take out was killing my diet.

Have a great day everyone. Gail

Have a great Birthday, Lynda.

Gail
Thanks...For the b-day greeting, Gail... :hyper:

and...

you might try WebTV, if you don't need an extra fully-loaded computer around...I got it for my mom (75) a few years ago after she protested that a computer would never cross her doorstep....
Now she's hooked on e-mail and can switch from web to TV whenever she likes without the bulk of a computer to store...

Hi Folks.........I'm back.

Had some computer problems.

Hope I didn't miss too much.

GaRry ....How is your back feeling?

Diana, sent you a PM.

gaRry, hope the meds and coffee are working today :hyper: .
DD is still talking about your DD and how much fun they had.

Hello everyone and happy Monday -
I am so new to this kind of thing, I'm learning more and more everytime I read. I am the wife of the couple (I know someone had been wondering).
After reading about the details of the Romance of the Seas package, I've added it to our Vow Renewal package. I think my husband will be "romanced out"! How many days 'til we go?????

Counters available on the technical board.....easy to find on the Disboards first page....
Don't go by my counter...I'm so wary of the cruise separation blues that I've built in some WDW time at each end....:hyper: :hyper: :hyper:

Hi everyone!

LeiLani - Welcome home! The Cat. 1 sounds just great! Also can't wait to hear about DD's clothing!

Lisa - Saturday's Opening Day for baseball in our League is an all-day thing....team/individual pictures, carnival-type day for the kids - moonbounces, etc., in addition to the games. It was fun, but hot.......got in the high 80's! Remember last week when we were freezing?!

Have to get the mower out of the barn and ready to go - can't believe it's mow-the-grass weather already!

Welcome home again Easter/Spring Break vacationers!

Hello again everyone. Finally caught up on all the posts, so some of these things are going to be old, but better late than never.

gaRry - hope things are better with your back and hope DS is coping with the loss of his horse.

Matt - glad to hear you had a great time in Hawaii. We loved it so much we bought a timeshare there and we plan on going back the summer of 2005.

Virgil - we never did get to meet Dominic. Had a great group of DISers though.

Lynda - sorry to hear about Cash. Hope he is feeling better.

Welcome Stingfancb.

gail & ohiominnie - prayers and **PD** going out your way.

gail - I have posted one day to the trip reports so far, when I post the others I will let everyone know. They are posted on the Disney Cruise Line Trip Reports forum.

Charlotte - yes, the Cat 1 is great. But leave it to my oldest DD to make the comment, "It's not as big as I thought it would be." I told her you are on a cruise ship, what did you expect. Your bedroom and bathroom is almost bigger than some of the regular cabins. Me thinks she is getting a little too spoiled.:p

I will try to get the trip reports posted tomorrow or Wednesday. Everyone have a good afternoon and evening.

LeiLani
