Checking in from the Ronald McDonald house. We were able to visit DD for several hours yesterday. She's stable now, and they're going to work through a series of tests to figure out how to treat her without the medicine that caused the reaction. DH and DS will be heading home tonight, and I'll stay here until she's released.

Thanks for all the prayers and pms.

Lisa

Oh my goodness...I can't believe I forgot this last night:

GOOD BRIGHT SUNNY SUNDAY MORNING EVERYONE!

That's what I get for looking around E-Bay!

Lisa....glad things are looking up. Keep the faith!

Have fun, jilljill

See you later,
Stacey

Hi everyone. Happy Sunday.

Afff, Welcome back.

Leslie, I added your name to the brunch. I never got notified that I received a PM. Are you suppose to get notification when you get a PM??

Lisa, I am so glad to hear that DD is doing better. I was thinking about you last night. I sent you a PM.

I would love to move to Florida near all our relatives if DH could move his business but that is never going to happen until we retire which is a long way off. I like to dream about it saving all that $ flying to Florida all the time and being near WDW would be awesome. I would also love to be in warmer weather all the time. We are not fond of wintertime. This week in NY it is suppose to be chilly and rainy all week. I am so looking forward to being in Flordia on April 5th!

DH took the children to Chucky Cheese for a little while and than my parents are coming over for an early dinner.

Have a great day everyone. Gail::MinnieMo

Lynda, hope you are starting to feel better.

Hi, All
I do think I'm gonna live....my cold finally crept away while I was sleeping and boy, have I been doing a lot of that...! I hereby pronounce myself off the sick list. Besides, If I don't get my butt out the door and into the market the dogs will complain and I will have no milk for my cereal....
I see that there are good and not so good things going on while I slept (hugs, Lisa)... More hugs to anyone having a rotten time, whether reported on this list or not and, gosh I hope the Spring weather is as nice for everyone as it has been here lately....sunshine, mild breezes....I'm sorry that some, (particularly Scott on the 5/16 cruise meets list...He wants to christen the cruise the Hooray, we've escaped the snow cruise)... are still stuck in the chills of Winter....
Well, off we go.....Cash is not going to be happy with the destination, by the way. Like some men in my family, he HATES to shop....., although he does find the meat counter mildly interesting...

Got in from our road trip about an hour ago.

Gail - I returned your e-mail - sorry for the delay.

Stacey - sent you a pm - thanks for the wonderful Vegas info.

Lisa - so glad to hear that you are settled in that she is stable.
Keeping your family in my prayers and hope that you are all home safe and healthly soon.

:teeth: Picturing Cash at the meat counter!!!

Just saying a quick hello. We drove out to see our friend's new property this a.m. It's pretty out there. He's a little further north than we are. They made me trek through the desert. I didn't see the scenery much, was watching the ground for rattlesnakes!

Have to go get dressed for Guys and Dolls. I am soooo looking forward to this! My girls will have to hold me back from singing along!

See you later....have a beautiful day!

Stacey

Mary Glsd you had a safe trip home.

Stace sing a song for me, I love to sing along with those show tunes. (though DD doesn't always like me singing along)

Afff glad the hotel looks impressive. Hope you took pics to post for all of us that aren't there yet.

Lisa - keeping you and DD in prayers and PD

Lynda - Glad you are feeling better

jilljill happy packing. I still need to check the PM. will do that now

Garry will be dissapointed that he doesn't have more to read when he gets home. Everyone must be very busy this weekend.

Back from the theater, and I find us way down the line!
The weather must be getting nicer everywhere!!

Great show. They did an excellent job. It was just what the doctor ordered, even if I did doze off a couple of times. Not to worry, Jordan was there with her trusty elbow!

Have to start dinner. This is the last night with the realtives, and we need to show them that people here really do cook. (Of course, you guys already know that I don't....)

Anyway....will check back later just to make sure we haven't sunk to the basement! :p

Stacey

We're only planning one more move, and it will be to central FL. When DD is ready for college, that is. Since we haven't moved in 16 years now, it will be quite an undertaking. Yes, already dreaming of FL resident discounts for cruising, and we can't go for five more years! I'm trying to figure out a way to make it sooner.

Lisa, thanks for checking in. So glad things are OK.

We have tulips and crocus (croci?) blooming. I'm going to be listing all my pink, yellow and green vintage clothing finds on Ebay this week! 'Tis the season.

Any Alias fans in this group? It's on tonight!
Another show we never miss in this house. Jennifer Garner has a movie come out soon, too, looks very cute.

:scared: :scared1: You will NEVER catch me trekking where those things could be lurking!!!!! See, I can't even type the name, just reading it gave me the shivers!!!!! :earseek:

Vicki, you really are funny about the packing. That won't get started until sometime next week. Probably on Wed. and we leave Thurs. ::yes:: The only thing I have to worry about packing will be the turkey to cook on Easter Sunday, must make sure we have that. If anything else is forgotten it will be bought down there.
Looking forward to both dinners. I kind of figured gaRry would have forgotten the times ::yes:: that's why I gave them to the 'one who knows what's going on and keeps it straight'.

DH has decided to get his haircut on Main St. in the MK. I hope it isn't too crowded in the barber shop on Good Friday. If it is I will just go shopping while he waits.

Lynda, I am picturing Cash sitting by the meat counter looking so innocently at the butcher waiting for a handout

:wave2: Hi gaRry

I figured 1 more post for him to read when he gets back :D  :teeth: :sunny:

jilljill.....our slimy little buddies are not so bad! We saw a great big one just down the road the other day. He was pretending not to see us. Tried to get him to move, but he'd have no part of it!

DH loves the thrill of the hunt!! I sent him on ahead....he said he'd find 'em first. Yeah, find 'em...stir 'em up...make 'em mad...then they could get me!!

Gotta run. Be back later,

Stacey

Diana - DW and I are definitely ALIAS fans.... of course it's an added bonus that we live in Jennifer Garner's hometown! The hospital where I work had a charity auction - had a trip to LA and a behind the scenes meet with Jennifer.... I quit bidding as it got way too expensive for me.....An orthopedic surgeon won it - (Figures - eh? Leilani??):teeth: :duck:

Lynda - I too was picturing Cash all acting innocent - just hoping for another pass by the meat counter - just to window shop.........:hyper: :teeth:

Stacey, you can keep your 'slimy little buddies'. Guess I won't be moving your way any time soon ::yes::
How did you try to get him to move?!? Just gotta ask! ...And why would you want him to move?!? :earseek:

:wave2: G'night everyone. Going to bed before it gets too late.

Any Wookie fans out there? I'll be at MGM on the first day of Star Wars Weekends on May 14 and would be happy to collect a few autographs for dds or ds that like Wookies or other SW furrballs.....

Last time we went to the market the butcher had a huge multi-tray rack of steaks she was setting out (funny thing, they weren't wrapped yet) and Cash took a sniff of the unprotected slabs, earning him a stern "Leave it" and "No sniffing ", which made several of the the nearby shoppers smile....He is always so zombi-like around the food that I often tell people he's a robot....Guess he's busted now...

When we saw the big guy, we were in the car. I drove back and forth and made some noises. He was just too cool for me.:smooth:
We like to watch them move, they're interesting. Besides, he was headed toward someone else's property!! ::yes::
For a "City Girl", I've gotten pretty used to the wild creatures out here. 'Course, I've been here for 24 years, so it's about time!
We regularly see deer, coyotes, javelina, roadrunners, snakes, bobcat, mountain lion, and of course....Molly's skunks! What I truly hate the most are the scorpions. Now THOSE are creepy!

Forgot to ask.... Did anyone tape the race today? Have an extra copy? (NASCAR)

Well, I guess it's that time:

GOOD MARVELOUS MONDAY MORNING TO OUR EASTS AND MIDS, AND EVERYONE IN BETWEEN!!!

Manana,

Stacey

I dont know if anyone wondered yet if I dropped of the face of the earth or anything. LOL I just have been busy doing others things lately. Planning a unexpected trip to WDW this summer and worrying about moving stuff. House is up for sale and hope it sells soon. We are leaving for Hawaii Wednesday night. Hi everyone! :)

Just found this thread (thanks ohiominnie for bumping it up).......started reading at the 1st post and realized you were over 4,000 posts! Wow!

We just switched itineraries to the 10-night Christmas. Taking my parents to celebrate their 50th anniversary. DH and I have DS (8.5 at cruise time) and DS #2 (5.5 when we sail).......late seating.

Would love any info on planned DIS get togethers, other links for the cruise or tips that would be helpful to us "late comers".

Thanks - it's going to be a fantastic trip!

- Charlotte
