Lynda... hope you feel better real soon. I think you are going to be right down the hall from us on Deck 6... and believe me we will need a doggie fix... so anytime you or Cash need a break from each other we will be happy to doggie sit... we will be missing our 4 Goldens BiG TIME!
Gali: Just let me know your plans and I'll work around them. I usually only work Sunday evenings, Monday and Tuesday days. I only live 10-15 minutes from the mall (or Plantation) so I'm very flexible.
Anyone going to be at WDW April 15-18? I'll be there for the start of the Flower and Garden Festival. Love to meet up if we can.

Has anyone else started doing anything for the Cruise? I've started buying Disney Dollars to put away for the cruise, plus I'm saving up all my Disney Reward points on the credit card until December. I just keep thinking about the Rainforest Room at the spa and what the "unlimited usage for the whole Cruise" package will cost....LOL

That was a thousand years ago but at the time I mixed it thoroughly with the tears and made it through.....

One down, one to go.
Lots of good friends were there, and provided a lot of support. Dad had a daughter & another son, other than Jay, who have never helped us at all....they were there, and that was hard (to not be angry) and also his ex-wife (go figure)....but I know Dad appreciated our time together and the fact that we loved eachother like real Dad/daughter, so I did okay.
Still not seeming real. Tomorrow will be hard
But, we have a large group of friends going for brunch after, so it will be okay. A very dear friend wasn't going to make it back from a business trip to California, but he delighted us by driving straight thru (probably 90 mph) to be there tonight.
Thanks again. Going to sleep now.

Beautiful day here in Sunny South Florida..... wish I could share it with all of you still in the cold!

Can someone fill me in on this WISH thing? If it has to do with losing weight before the cruise... I'm IN! I figure I'll need to lose 30lbs so I can gain 15 back on the cruise!

WISH stands for "We're Inspired to Stay Healthy"

A bunch of DIS'ers all supporting others in whatever choices they make to improve or maintain their health...
You'll see all sorts of eating plans, exercise plans, etc etc. Even if the only change you plan on making is drinking more water, they'll cheer you on like there is no tomorrow!

Hello Everyone. Happy Friday. Beautiful day in NY 65 already.
It has been a very busy week on the homefront. We are leaving on 4/5 for Florida, Boynton Beach. I can not believe in a few days it will be April. Time is flying. While we are gone DH is going to breakthrough to our new addition to the house and the kitchen will start to be worked on. I am glad we will be away for this part of the construction.
All who are traveling, have a great trip.

Leslie, still waitting to hear about our final plans in Fla. Hopefully I will find out over the weekend and I will e mail you.

Hi everyone. Ohiominnie lives~ I need to get back to WISH too. Next week, I promise.

Stacey, thoughts & prayers with you. My FIL had surgery this week, but so far all is well. He's cranky, but that means things are normal!

Let's see, so far we have bought formalwear for the cruise. Bought them during the after-Christmas sales, guessing what size we will be next Christmas. For DD, bigger. For me, smaller. I'll let you know if I get to take that dress. And I've been buying one spectacular bottle of wine a month, to take on the cruise. The Sam's Club here gets some pretty interesting bottles, and they have the ratings posted etc. It's a fun thing, just hope I don't accidentally drink them. Yeah, right.

Hello everyone.....

All went very well today. It was a beautiful military service, 21-gun salute, Taps....lots of tears after that. I thought DH was going to lose it when they handed him the flag & casings. I know I did! But it was wonderfully peaceful, and we came out to my house for a while afterward, and then to a lovely brunch.
I zonked out for 2 hours after everyone left! We had our softball games tonight...start of tournament, so the out of town relatives (Chicago & Milwaukee) came to cheer us on. Won both games, so on to the next round next week.
And such a beautiful day, weather-wise.....low 80's, sunny, with a gentle breeze......hope the east coaster's weather is starting to finally get nice!
Barb, I swore when we moved into this house, I would never do it again! Keep reminding us of all the work so that I never get the crazy idea to build a house. My friends are just starting to look at plans, and I shudder because they want me to help. We spent 3 years totally remodeling this one, so they think I'd make a good advisor. WRONG! It made me a neurotic freak. Never again.
I was looking at my countdown timer, won't be long till Disneyland. I can't wait. I may just sit on my balcony the whole time! (HA!!! And not see the Mouse? I don't think so!)
I can't wait to wander Downtown Disney at night and listen to the music. I want to Soar Over California, and visit the "Hollywood Hotel"........
Have you seen the Travelocity commercials with the garden Gnome? Someone put a gnome on a boulder in our creek, and he's fishing! Funniest thing I've seen all week!
Off to bed. Get to stay home tomorrow...wheee!!!!!

Good morning all. Yes it is VERY early. I couldn't sleep.

I've been off the boards because my DD is in Children's Hospital in DC. They think she had a bad reaction to her ADHD medication. She's likely to be in for about a week. Luckily (thank God) I have been able to get in to the Ronald McDonald house there, so I'll be going up later this morning and staying until she's released.
