You need everything that you like and see. Here's the excuse: "but Barb made me buy it". He can't yell at me from across the country :earseek: :teeth: .
Then just tell him that my DH just stood there and shook his head and couldn't do a thing about it.
Jewelry cases here I come :hyper: .

Okay, as we are winding down. Do you realize it is only

SEVEN MORE WEEKS until we pay off the cruise in full?

Actually we just paid ours off the end of last week. :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: Felt really good! Now I just have to work on the airfare.

Thanks for the info "Scubadiver"

If St. Thomas is out, I can go ahead and plan some other excursion instead.
By the way has anyone here experienced "seatreking".......was wondering if it would something for my 10 year old.
How about the submarine excursion in St. Thomas? ( I think it is there )

Thanks Lisa.....for the shirt info.

It good to be back again ....thanks Mary

afff - we haven't done Sea Trekkin but we have it booked for Christmas Day. I think it is Linda who has it booked at the same time as us. This big kid is looking forward to it. :D

Boy, Priceline sure is getting picky. I can't get them to give me a cheap car for next week's trip. Not even a convertible for $27 a day (I tried). Guess I will have to stick to my Southwest reservation for a car. Especially since Priceline won't let me try again for a week. It's going to be a busy week at WDW, I think.

Leave Stacey alone. She needs to save her money so she can stay a few more days at WDW after the cruise! (Stacey, our favorite store is Ghirardelli's, best chocolate chip cookies ever).

I used to buy a lot of dolls, DH was always raising his eyebrows when a box came. I've slowed way, way down. Now I sell a lot more than I buy, but I only buy really nice mint ones. Now the boxes are always for DH, and I think he gets some at his office he doesn't tell me about. Just how much gear can one diver wear, anyway? Seems like he might sink if he wears all this stuff.

Does anyone have the e-mail address for reserving the shore excursions?!! I've tried the link on the web site and sending it to the e-mail address given in Passporter and it keeps being sent back to me as 'undeliverable'!!! Please help!!!!!!! Or a phone number?!!

Opinions needed...............can we cover Key West on foot....with a 4 yr old? Would he enjoy the conch train? Anything else that is fun for the family at Key West? Help!!!!
Debsxxx

Debs - so nice to see you posting on the thread!

Not sure about the e-mail about shore excursions, but I can give some advice about Key West.

The conch train doesn't stop - nor does the trolley if you book through Disney. However last time we were there we booked the trolley on our own and you can get on and off at one of 12 (I think different stops). We took it down to the Southernmost Post. Not far from there is the Butterfly Conservatory and a little beyond that is Hemmingway's House. We saw a lot of the island and while we did a good deal of walking didn't do too much. We could have waited for the trolley and it would have taken us back to the start. The Key West Aquarium is cute too. Not very big but some nice exhibts.

All of our boxes lately have come for the dog. Leashes, collars, toys, mats, clickers, treats yada yada yada. But yet we still haven't bought FOOD!!! It'll be hungry, but it'll have a nice place to lie down!

So what do I do today? I go to Jo Ann's and buy some stuff to sew it a nice dog mat. Of course, it required me to order a special part for the sewing machine (to the tune of $80) The dog comes next week and in that time I have to sew it's mat AND TSP, prime and paint a bathroom! Yeah, right!!

 OM!? I can't believe you're referring to your new baby as ~gasp~ "it"?! LOL! Just kidding!

Great to know you're getting prepared! Unlike me who went grocery shopping one day, crossed paths with an adopt-a-pet and ended up going home with a German Shepherd!

WOW - No fair.... let a guy get some sleep - and you all go crazy posting.....

Good job on 7777 Stacey.....

Going to eat tonight at the local RibFest.... Can't wait....Hopefully it won't rain - it's overcast and "yucky" outside.....

Be back later - hopefully tonight won't be too bad.... only 3 more night shifts to go...(this stretch.....)

Virgil
no longer a pirate:

Virgil....didn't you hear me calling you and telling you to wake up?? I tried to give you a chance!

How many credit cards should I take to WDW??? ;)

Sorry, Debs...never been to Key West, so I don't know a thing about it. I aways called in my shore excursions. 877-566-0968, or if you are paid in full...888-325-2500 sometimes works. Is this the e-mail address you had..... dcl.shore.excursion@disneycruise.com ?

Minnie....what did the breeder suggest for puppy food? I know a few people who make their own...just like making home made baby food.

Diana....it is your job to keep me AWAY from Ghirardelli's....not lead me to it!!!

Stacey

Mary...is it too much of a walk at Key West, if we want to walk down to the end and back? The kids are young and strong, and Jay won't mind....but I may have trouble hauling my heft around.
That was all I planned on doing. Just looking around.

Ok, Stacey. I promise not to take you to Ghirardelli's on Sunday. The other days I can't be responsible for.

I still want to snorkel with the wild dolphins in Key West. Do you all think I will freeze if I don't have a shortie to wear?

If you just want to walk down Duvall I don't think it is that long a walk. the thing I liked about the trolley was that it took you around the far side of the island that you might not get to.

Here is their web page Key West Trolley

There is a map there that shows some of the attractions.

Shortie? I checked our log book and last year when we dove at KW at Christmas the water was 73 degrees. That's 5 mil for me. It will be warmer on the surface, but I would think about a wet suit. I'm sure DH will let you borrow his 7 mil or dry suit.

We wear full wetsuits for CC to snorkel and appreciate having it on.

Thanks Mary. I haven't had a chance to take a long look at that, but I put it in my favorites so I can look at it later. It looks like it has more info than the book I'd been looking at!

Hope everyone is having a nice evening so far.

Just wanted to say hi before I start dinner. Yes, I guess I'm cooking tonight!

It's hot here....106. Just looked at the weather in Orlando, not a whole lot different, considering their humidity...but they have thunderstorms predicted for the next week. Is that normal for them? Are they really big storms, or just a rain shower?

Back later,

Stacey

Thunderstorms in Orlando in August. Hmmm. I kind of remember the sky opening up, kind of like a tub of water being dumped and it went on and on. Lightning too. Don't go outside when that's going on. We always take ponchos. Those are called movie afternoons, or maybe nap afternoons.

OK, my DH is threatening to start reading and posting on this board. Who has been telling him that I'm saying bad things about him? Virgil?

Diana - I think it would be great to have him posting!

Welcome to Florida. We just plan on rain everyday for 20-30 minutes in the afternoon Sometimes it happens. Sometimes it doesn't. But lately it has been happening. Remember, Florida is a sub-tropic climent. It is rare to have a wash out day. Just the afternoon.

Living here in Central Florida, we've learned to just look to the sky. If it's clear in the afternoon. Don't worry about it, but if you see the clouds building you are going to get wet.

The rain is not the issue, it's the lightening.
