Well, Tina, if our daughters hit it off, we may be seeing each other at WDW too. You know how they tend to make their own plans.

Afff, my DH (Tinksdad) is the scuba diver, Scuba Diver (yes, it's his ID) is as well. You can PM me or DH, I will send you his e-mail.

WHAT never been to DTD  ?!? How could you have missed all those shops?!? :earseek:
We have got to break you in right :hyper: . DH may not like me after this trip  . You sure you can't stay longer???

Good evening everyone! :wizard:

LOL..Stacey... NEVER been to Downtown Disney?? :earseek:
Oh my!
Yes DTD = Downtown Disney and DPT =Disney Pin Traders... an entire building dedicated to Pins, pin accessories and the like!!! Trading goes on there every day from open to close.... but it's outside in the heat. And wait until you see World Of Disney!! 50,000 sq feet of everything and anything Disney!! And Girardellis... free chocolate samples... yum... I could go on and on.. DTD is an attaction in itself!

Diana I'm pretty sure I'll be at All Star on 8/12 and you are wecome to "hang" with me! It'll be great to meet up.

Linda: Jessie is a little over 4. She is Tink and Woody's (now 2) mama. Rex is our oldest at 11. We are obviously addicted to Golden Retrievers..

Hmmmmm - I guess I'll be looking for a dive buddy too.... DW is certified - but has never really gone... DD (Kristin) is nearly certified - never did the open water dive - but she informs me that she'll be too busy at WVU to finish it.... I mean - school coming first - or partying.....

Well - another fun night in the ER - I know you get tired of the exploits - so I'll leave it at that......

Be back later!

I want to be around to see everyone in their black rubber suits!

Yeah, yeah...I know they're not rubber!

Where is Miss Lynda these days????? I need a good Cash story!

Leslie....left to right in the picture, who is who? (the pups)

You guys need to remember that I live way out here on the other side of nowhere! Since they added DTD, I've only been to Florida once. We had the kids, and they wanted to see all the parks, not shop. What's a mother to do???

And speaking of shopping.....is there anything anyone needs us to get for them while we're there???? Sorry, Tina...they don't sell cars at Disney.

Hello, A Triple F!!! Long time, no see!

Virgil....what exploits? You never give us any good gory details!!

Back in a few.

You can always do what I did. I told my kids that WDW was not for kids but for adults and they would have to do what the adults wanted to do. Hey, it worked for me!

Paul

Too late....I already told them that Las Vegas was for adults, and Disney for kids. You know what the little smarty-pants said??? "Then how come you go to Disney with us, but we don't get to go to Las Vegas with you?"
An excellent point....but I told them it was because I PAY for it all!

Anyway...I am going to go to bed early again. I did feel better today, but I think if I get one more good nights' sleep, I should be 100% again.

So......

GOOD FINALLY FRIDAY MORNING TO ALL OF THE DECEMBER CRUISERS!

Good night!

Stacey

P.S. I absolutely, positively have to be at work early in the morning, so keep the posts to a minimum! Besides, I want to be here to grab 7777!!!princess: pirate:

Thanks Dancind........I'll PM you or your DH.

Virgil, if your DW and DD are really interested in diving.........please keep in mind I was once refused in Mexico for not having completed a recent dive in the last 2 years. ( wanted to see my dive log book )

What I ended up doing ( very bad boy ) is lying about the recent dive at the next dive shop down the road.

Since then, after feeling guilty and wanting more confidence, I completed a SCUBA refresher course, for a return visit to Mexico.

I hope to dive sometime this summer ( don't like the cold Great Lakes ) or use the same pool as the SCUBA Shop uses on lesson nights for practice.

Stacey............hello to you too!!!!!!!!!!!

Afff - I doubt that they are that interested in diving..... Oh well... DW likes to snorkel - but is afraid of feeling too claustrophobic when diving - of couse she didn't want to cruise either.... DD just won't have the time to complete it - so I'll be on my own....

Virgil.....the RMS Rhodes wreck looks intersting in St. Thomas.

Just surfing the net.....it is reported to be one of the top 10 best dives in the carribean.

Perhaps " Scubadiver " knows more.

My DH is Tinksdad. Scuba Diver is going to be diving with him, I don't think he will mind the questions. Both will be diving with their respective teenagers, and all have done quite a bit of diving. They might be able to recommend a shop or dive that gives a lot of personal attention if you guys haven't dived much. I know my DH Kevin does a lot of research on the different dive ops at the different islands.

Hi all
I'm recovering from a doggie encounter during which I nearly lost my thumb....

I've saved the neighborhood from a viscious Boston Terrier but the pain pills are keeping me asleep....zzz

should be back in good typing form soon.....I hope....

Glad to hear that you're OK Lynda.....

I was wondering about you floating away with all of the rain the past 24 hours in Texas.

Just a little rain here in Central Texas...just enough to chase the scorpions into the house...oh, where are those toads when ya need 'em?
I keep dragging them out of the doggie pool but they seem to prefer jumping back in to staying out in the heat hunting for bugs...

You should see the special two-fingered scissor hold I've developed to catch them with....

You could have done what I did, say that DTD was a park. But then I do have the DD that came up with the latest attraction at Disney - she calls it the Shopping Attraction . Or at the very least, you just tell them you are going to dinner there and they just happen to have shops.

Lynda - glad to hear it......

Hmmm post 7755..... I wonder whether the daytime posters will get up to the Magical 7777 while I'm sleeping..... Of course - Stacey can give the "Fluff Queen" a run for her money - so I don't doubt that we'll be there.....

It wasn't too bad in the ER tonight.... busy - a lot of strange stuff.... like the 3 yr old with a loose front baby tooth....

Diana - the only diving I've done has been rescue diving.... believe me - being at 30+ feet in the Ohio or one of the local lakes is definitely no fun.... and definitely not warm.... If I decide to desert the family and join the others for a day - I'm not sure what I'd do if I could actually see something - instead of just feeling around on the bottom........

For Afff and Virgil, Dancind was correct. Her DH and I have been doing a great deal of behind the sceen research on what are the best dives and LDS. Dancind's DH plans on putting some information up shortly about the LDS.

I doubt we will be diving St Maarten unless we can both get out our DW to allow us to fly to Saba island, spend the night, and meet the ship the next day in St. Lucia. So far the discussions have not gone well for the divers.

:flower1: Good Morning Cruisers! :flower1:

TGIF!

Stacey - definately make some time for Downtown Disney. World of Disney is great, Once Upon a Toy is fun, Disney at Home is one of my favorites. So many wonderful shops.

Lots of fun things to see as well like the Lego serpant out in the lake and the Lego tourist sleeping on a bench. :D

Lots of divers on this trip. DH and I have just gotten into snorkeling so will most likely do some DCL excursions that include snorkeling. We will be doing Sea Trekkin at Coral World which will as close to a dive as we'll get.

afff & Hercules - nice to see you both posting again. Welcome back!

Good Morning everyone. Haapy Friday!!!!!
I wish I could join you in in WDW but I can not change my work schedule. It sounds like so much fun!!!
We are going to take DD today to see performing arts sleep away camp in Hancock, NY on the boarder of PA. All I know is it is 3.5 hours from door to door. The camp is called French Woods. We have heard all positive stuff about the camp. DD is so excitied. The camp runs 3 3 week sessions. So we are thinking about the August 3 week session. We will be leaving today early afternnon so we can see a concert at the camp tonight. Tomorrow is viewing the camp, the circus program and a magic show at night. We will be than returning home early Sunday as I have to work at 4pm on Sunday. DS gets to get a lot of attention this weekend as both sets of grandparents will be with him. Time to finish up the last minute packing.

Have a great wekend everyone. Gail

Morning all. Tina, good to hear from you. Wasn't that sun great? And I was driving with the top down. I do have a bit of sunburn today from it :) scuba diver, I just can't understand why you aren't having any luck with your proposal (wink, wink)! And Leslie, yes those are very cute fur babies! I really can't imagine all the hair from 4 goldens though! When we had a lab, a friend of ours had a golden. We dog sat one weekend, and the hair from both of them just about drove me batty, and I'm not a real picky housekeeper!

Afff, it's great to hear from you again. GaRry hasn't set the deadline for the holiday shirts yet. He did place an order for more of his original tie-died shirts from our 1st western cruise, but the holiday shirts aren't ordered yet.

Our local community group is putting on the musical "Honk" this weekend. It's apparently loosely based on the ugly duckling. We might go tonight. If so, I'll probably be late for chat, but I'll definitely check in. Hope to see some of you there.

Gail, be careful driving. The camp sounds like fun! DD really liked her week long girl scout theater camp last year. If your DD does go to the camp, I"m sure she'll be able to earn the theater badge, so be sure to take a look at the requirements in her badge book.

Happy Friday all! Lisa
