Monday afternoon all! Boy, had to catch up on all those posts. Not working on weekends gets me behind!

Paul-the lime green swimsuit you are looking for-I saw a lime green speedo that might work for you!

Lynda-so glad you checked in. You always make me laugh!

Gail-I pm'd you back. I get one of those migranes occasionally and boy it is miserable. You are right, any movement just about puts me over the edge. I made my DH once pull off the interstate, find a shady spot, and get out of the car and go for a llllllllloooooooooooooonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnggggggggggggggg walk. I think I told him to come back the next day!!!!!

I have started (well, I am trying) to get organized with all my pictures. I am finally getting some pictures into scrapbooks, and boy it is time consuming but so much fun. I just didn't realize how many times we've been to DW and DL in the last 15 years. Can't wait to get them all together. But now I had this hair brained idea, so I am scanning the pictures into my computer before putting them in scrapbooks and then I'll have each trip on it's own CD. So, in addition to DD dancing and singing all weekend, I was scanning pictures. It is fun, and will be worth it when done, but alot of work. I am so glad that I only have to go to 2002 since we switched to digital for the most part at that time. The other thing (like I didn't have enough to do), is I bought DH a DVD Recorder for Father's Day. But he is computer/dvd/cd illiterate, so I am in the process of transferring over our VHS tapes and our little tapes from our video cameras onto DVD's. It has been fun so far putting all of DD dancing/singing stuff year by year onto DVD's. Anyway, got alot of work to do on that too.

But for now, I am back to work for the week, so I should be able to stay pretty current on this thread!

Hi Linda I received your pm amd Mary's as well.

It is very hard to explain how sick migraines can make you unless you have suffered one. I would not wish that on anyone!!!!I thought it was all gone but it started raining here and the headache is back but at least it is not a migraine!!!

Just picked up DD from nature camp. She loved it. I wish they had this stuff when I was growing up. It was at the Theodore Roosevelt Bird and Nature Sanctuary. It is not to far from his home. Beautiful area. The camp runs all summer Monday to Thursday 9-2 and you can pick one week or all the weeks you want to go. The prices are great also. the children learn a lot. DD is doing this week and two more weeks in August.

Hi everyone, we're just back this afternoon. I hate that long distance driving stuff. Sorry I didn't check in, my choices were $1 per minute local call (which actually didn't work, my password wouldn't go through), or $1 per minute at the business center in the hotel.

Well, can't wait to see what you wrote about the meet, Stacey! It's a bit of a blur (maybe it's the wine), but I do know that I felt like I'd known you and Leilani for years. This is going to be a fun cruise! And yes, we will need extra security for the girls. Brittany, especially, will need armed guards. You will all understand this when you meet her. Alicia was pretty tired that night, so expect it to be worse on the ship!

The dance convention was absolutely gigantic. There were almost 800 dance routines over four days. I didn't see it all, but what I saw was pretty amazing. Alicia's studio is very small compared to some of the studios we were competing against. They saved the Intermediate (13-14 years average age) production numbers for the last thing Friday night. We had a number in that category with 16 kids, and went first. They did great, but then the rest of the numbers came on with 50-75 kids! They were amazing! Our studio did pretty well though, had several first places (thought NOT in the Production category), and one of the boys was chosen 1st place runner up Junior dancer of the Year.

It was a fun trip overall. Besides our DIS meet, which was a highlight, Alicia and I went to see Blue Man Group, and this past Saturday went to a concert at the Beach at Mandalay Bay to see Smashmouth. This was very spur of the moment, I saw an ad in the paper that afternoon. One of the other dancers went with us, what an incredible place for a concert! It's basically IN the wave pool, the girls played and waded until the concert started, while I sat on the sand beach on a towel. Because of the size of the concert (small), they got to be right up front while the band played. It was a gorgeous setting, only annoyances were the smokers. They're everywhere in Vegas.

It's good to be home! I missed you guys! And I really, really, missed my bed!

Scuba Diver, sent you a PM and an e-mail. Do send your son's e-mail address, my DD is a prolific e-mailer and a pretty good diver too!

Hot and muggy day here in the mid-Atlantic......the kind of air that just hangs there - yuk! It rained (sorry, Stace), but it actually felt worse afterwards.

Gail - Sure hope you're feeling better. DH used to get migraines....not fun at all.

Lisa - Sorry I couldn't meet you in Tysons - hope the drive up went o.k. Was your DD excited about camp?

We went to see the Orioles play yesterday - thought I was going to fall over from the heat. We bailed at the bottom of the 7th - they were losing big time and the boys were melting. It was kids-run-the-bases day after the game, but they didn't even want to stay for that - tells you something about how miserable it was because they love running the bases!

Well I was good today - stayed on my points (weight watchers) and did an hour on the treadmill at a brisk (for me) pace. Now to keep it up.

Hi All!!

Just checking in from Vegas still. The girls and I were due to go home today, but my Mom is having major surgery tomorrow so I have extended our trip till Sunday. Actually I sent Brittany home today because she had a previous commitment, but Alyssa and I are still here. My Mom is really going through a rough time and like I stated is due to have surgery tomorrow so if you could keep us in your thoughts and prayers it would be greatly appreciated. And thank you Stacey for your thoughts and questions about how it is going. I will try to post tomorrow or Wednesday to let you know how everything goes.

Stacey - Brittany says it was Jordan who first noticed the "waiter"! And I have to agree with you, we need to set up a neighborhood watch program for the ship. We sure had a lot of fun at dinner and Brittany is looking forward to keeping up with Jordan and Alicia. Brittany's Dad and I know we are in trouble when it comes to her. I took her to dinner last night for her birthday and she was dressed up a little and you would not believe the looks we were getting. The gate agent at the airport this morning told me I did not look old enough to be Brittany's mother. Boy did that make me feel good.

Diana - glad you had a safe trip home and the dance contest went good. We saw some people flying out this morning who had been here for the contest.

Someone is supposed to be in Vegas next weekend( I don't remember who, and I am too lazy to look). If things go well with my Mother and you would like to try to get together let me know.

Lots and lots of prayers coming your way! I had my brother's church add your mom to the prayer chain. Every little bit helps.
(He's a preacher, I guess I'm the grey sheep. My other brother is the black sheep!)
Typical girls....."It wasn't me!" They were so cute, all 3 of them. I couldn't quit looking at Alicia and Brittany....so great to see the girls in person. And you, too! I believe it when the guy said you don't look old enough to be her mom!
For those of you who haven't met her....LeiLani is VERY pretty! And too, too funny

Anyway...not only did I work today, I cooked again, too!!!
Two days in a row! And no one is sick. Yet.

I'm beat, so I'm heading to bed. Have a great day tomorrow.
