Leilani - Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your mom.

Virgil
pirate:

Morning all.

Leilani, a prayer has been said for you and your mom. I hope things are better today.

Charlotte, I agree with you on the heat! And the lightning last night was awful! We had the power go out twice. I woke up this morning to humidity running down the windows. Stace/Diana, you want some of it?

Mary, great job working on that treadmill! Stick with it. I know that getting on it is the hard part.

Happy Tuesday everyone! Lisa

Good Morning/Afternoon......computer wasn't behaving this a.m. and I couldn't get on.

Now I'm out the door.

Have a great day, everyone. You all can keep your humidity. I'll get some of that next week in Nebraska!

LeiLani.....thinking of you all day!!

Stacey

Hi Leilani! Prayers here for your Mother, too. I'm sure it helps her to have you there with her. We should have called you on Saturday when we decided to go to the concert, to see if Brittany wanted to go! She would have fit in well with the two I had. We just weren't sure we could get tickets, so we went over there to see.

Lisa, we came home to rain and hail, so it was plenty humid here. Actually, we didn't get out of the hotel in Vegas much until after dark, so I think it felt hotter here after we got home and it was about to rain. Driving near the AZ/NM border was interesting, lightning was striking the ground in the distance.

Yep, Stacey, I think all three girls have pretty good "cute boy radar". I'm proud to say that my daughter was not one of the group that ran into the bathroom giggling after scoping out the waiter! (But I think she just hadn't noticed him yet.)

The distance between our room and the convention center rooms at the Riviera was about a 15 minute walk, and I did it at least four times a day. Does that count as a walking program? I need to keep it up though, WDW distances are a lot further!

Leilani-pixie dust coming your way. Hope everything goes well.

I am so glad the girls had such a great time in Vegas. I think I will have to add our Jamie to your designated neighborhood watch list too. She is 12 and thinks she is at least 18. And ATTITUDE! Boy, I wonder where she gets it (of course, not from her mother)

Hot here today. Yesterday got to 111 at Lake Powell. At least it was only 99 here. Thank goodness we don't have humidity here like the east!

Okay, back to work.

Paul-did you find those lime green, glow in the dark speedos yet?

Linda

:earseek:

Hi Linda! Of course your DD can be included in our Neighborhood Watch program. ;)
Don't you love the attitude??? My oldest is 22, and it hasn't stopped yet. Aren't you glad I shared?

Talk about hot. I'm melting!!! It just sucks the life right out of you. Is there a reason we live here??? Preparing for the after life? I guess I'll start being a whole lot better person, if that's the case.

LeiLani.....how's it going? Long day, I bet. Prayers are still coming.

Back out into the heat. Taking Jordan to dance. Going to get the big booth in the back of the pizza place, and take a nap.

TTYL,
Stacey

Stacey-

Actually got Jamie in a program this week at the University of Utah called "Be the Best You". Hopefully it will help that "attitude" thing she has going on. I hope so, since it cost $450. I thought I would have a nice quiet week. But no, today I had to go pick her up and take her to a special dance rehearsal for this show she has on Sat. So after spending 45 minutes this morning, going downtown, getting her, taking her to studio, etc., etc. I walk into studio and dance teacher says "I've added two more rehearsals this week, I know Jamie is at the U of U all week, but if she can't make them all, then she can't dance Sat." Can you see my blood pressure rising? So after coming back to work, and getting absolutely nothing accomplished for the next hour and a half, I went back to pick her up and Jamie says that she has already brought someone else in to replace her if she can't make all the rehearsals. So of course, like an idiot, I say, no problem, Jamie can make all the rehearsals and she will be dancing Sat.

My punishment-now I get to spend almost two hours each day fighting stupid traffic getting her from the college to the dance class and back to the college. AND THEN.....if that isn't enough, she was asked to audition tomorrow night for The Best of Utah, some show happening in August for some producer dude. So not only do I get to go get her at 8 a.m. in the morning and take her back at 11 a.m., I get to go back a second time at 4:30 p.m. and take her to an audition!

And my husband wonders why I have to work late and can't get my job done in a normal workday!!!!!

Okay....I'm done venting. I am going to go home, look at my Disney pictures that I am trying to scrapbook and try to get my blood pressure back to normal!!!!!

See you all in the a.m.!

I NEED A VACATION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Linda

Linda - Stacey found a nice "little" suit for me but it had a little too much material for me. LOL

Paul

Linda...Paul's right....PM me your e-mail address and I'll send you a picture of it! That'll lower your blood pressure, and give you a good laugh!
The things we do for our kids! Why do we do this stuff? We would all do it, Linda. I'm lucky, with DH & I working together, he knows....and he helps with the running alot. Especially if the 2 kids are needing to go in different directions at the same time.
Just remember, it doesn't go on forever. Honest. Soon they can drive, and then all we have to do is stay up late and worry about them!!! Even during the day, when Megan was driving to collge down the freeway....every time I heard about an accident, it was all I could do to keep from getting in my car to go make sure it wasn't her.
The one time it was her, I saw it on TV! She didn't get in an accident....it had been raining all day, and I told her to go stay at her friend's house, not to try to come home and cross our creek. Did she listen? Do they ever? NO. She came barrelling through the creek, with a helicopter camera crew over head, talking about how this stupid person was going thru the flooded creek. Thank heavens she made it. They give tickets for doing that. It's (honest) called the "Stupid Motorist Law".
What was the original topic?

Oh well........PM me, Linda....you'll be glad you did! (sorry, Paul, can't resist!)

Stacey

Stacey - I just saw a show on the Travel Channel about a restaurant in Phoenix called Alice Cooperstown. Looks like fun. I'm a big Alice Cooper fan. Have you ever been there?

Paul

Yes.....it's down by the ballpark. It's a fun place. "Hip" as they say.
They even delivered food from Alice Cooperstown to some of us who were (unfortunately) onstage at Dame Edna's show.
Do you know who Dame Edna is? Anyway...it's good food, and good fun. I thought it appropriate that they were they ones who brought the food to his/her show.

There you go I set you up with another top!

I'll have to go to Alice Cooperstown sometime (if I ever get to Phoenix).

Yes I do know who Dame Edna is. I find her (or him) quite entertaining!

Paul

You should definitely try to catch his/her show sometime. Funniest thing I have ever seen in my life. And, as you've already gathered, she gets peopl out of the audience. I must have a sign on me somewhere, because she had me up there. Jay wishes he had it on tape.

And you should definitely come to Phoenix. When it's cooler.

Lots to do here, and a free travel guide.

Thanks for the T.O.P., Paul!

And Mary......I'm gaining on you with posts! You best get in here and start chatting!
You, too, fluff queen.

Stacey - I might just take you up on that sometime!

Where is everyone tonight? It sure seems quiet here.

I hope LeiLani's Mom is doing ok.

Paul

It's pretty late for the east coasters. If Virgil is working tonight, it must be busy there.
I think our "night owl" easterners, like jilljill, went to bed early!

I was just thinking about LeiLani, too. What a long day it must have been for them. I wish I could have stayed, I'm sure LeiLani could have used a bit of support. Sorry, LeiLani!

Wait till October, Paul, and then COME ON DOWN! We can paint the town lime green!

 Well, I think I'll go the way of my fellow cruisers. Lots to do tomorrow, and I have got to start packing our bags pretty soon, too. I must like it, or I wouldn't do it, I suppose.

WONDERFUL WEDNESDAY MORNING TO ALL OF THE EAST COAST CRUISERS!!!

And of course, all of the rest of the group, too.

Good Night!

Stacey

Morning all. Leilani, waiting to hear how your mom's doing. I've been praying for you and her.

Linda, I'm with you on all the driving we do for our kids. Stacey, you are a lucky lady. All my DH does is say "well, you shouldn't sign him/her up for those things." But if they're just sitting around, it's "they're watching too much TV." Just can't win for losing!

We're definitely going to have to get this crowd motivated. The 14 day trips are going to beat us on post numbers!!!

Hope we all have a great hump day! Lisa

:flower1: Good Morning Cruisers! :flower1:

Happy Wednesday cruisers!

How is everyone doing today?

Hope LeiLani and her mom are doing well. Prayers and thoughts still going out to you LeiLani.
